I got Vinland in a swap with the wonderful Chupa!!! (kiss kiss) In the bottle: A delectible rose scent with a foresty scent behind it. On Me: Vinland almost gets a cinnamony scent along with the rose, like a spicy rose. Its heavenly, simply heavenly. Its almost as if having an English Rose Garden in your kitchen while you are baking. This is a scent that I would ADORE in a candle, a spray, a tart, and a bath so that I can constantly smell this scent! Forget the Big Bottle! I want a GALLON!!!!

It seems rather odd that out of all my other imps that I need to try I picked this one out this morning. Especially since we have to go to my Mother-in-law's biopsy today. Maybe this will keep me from being too sad today. I hope so. In the Bottle: A light floral with a slight soapy smell to it. Rose and Waxflower maybe? Hmmm... On Me: Rose and a mint, fresh and clean smelling, refreshing even. This is very cooling, but seems to be fading way too fast. Hmmm...its a peek-a-boo fragrance. The mint reminds me of Shattered without the champagne scent, but the rose is a very nice touch. I catch the Rose scent when my nose is not at my wrist, and the mint scent otherwise. I seriously don't know how you guys do it. Yes, I like this one a lot. I'll be slathering it on now and will be picking this up as a Big Bottle later on.

In the Bottle: Mmm...orange blossoms and something dark and sensual underneath. That must be the black narcissus. So *that's* what narcissus smells like. *shiver* I can see why they call this such a sensual blend. I wonder if I will think its more sexy than Blood Lotus? On Me: More orange blossom than anything else. Considering that I get chased around by this one guy when I wear something with oranges in it, like Kuang Shi, this could be a rather interesting smell. The narcissus is coming out more, and that's what I love in this scent. Mmmm...yummy! *Very* yummy! My goodness, the blend really is very arousing. I'm not certain if I would call it as arousing to me as Blood Lotus, which seems to be sex in a bottle, but very close. And then they hit me with vanilla!!! How cruel! How sexy! Orange and vanilla...I ahve to share this with Juliet since that was what she was looking for. Ahhh...sexy sexy sexy....so a-slathering I will go. I'll have to pick up a bottle of this for me and one for my friend. She would LOVE this!

In the Bottle: Mmmm...peachy or pear with a slight musk to it. On Me: Wow...the sandalwood smell just came out of nowhere. How odd. This is a lot less fruity than I had expected, and the sudden change in scents is certainly a rather impish thing to do to a girl! The patchouli is coming out more than anything else as long as my nose is firmly glued to my wrist. Otherwise, there is a definate pear scent coming off of my wrists. A little bit more is radiating off of me as I get closer to my wrists though, and I actually find this to be a wonderful scent. It is extremely playful and chaotic, reminding me of my daughter. I'll slather now and then see how it smells on her later.

In the Bottle: Kuang Shi smells thick of white sandalwood and mandarin orange. On Me: The mandarin orange comes out much more, with the sandalwood being a dusty background note. This is very strong, much stronger than some of the other Asian blends, and I simply adore that! Its a very fruity blend, with a salty background, something that I would see as slightly masculine. I like very much! Slathering now and putting it on the big bottle list.

More ginger! :drooool: In the Bottle: Baobhan Sith smells like grapefruit and ginger! Eeeeeeek! Yummy yummy yummy! On Me: Oh how lovely! Grapefruit, ginger, and white tea! Oh this takes Kumiho and tangs it up even more! This is simply lovely. Bathing in this one!

Oooh...white tea and ginger....I'm in love already! In the Bottle: Kumiho is extremely crisp, and the white tea really comes out. Purrr. On Me: Mmm...there's the ginger. Oh, another mood for sushi! With the white tea this is gorgeous, so fresh and sharp and tangy that you can practically taste it. I am definately slathering this one!

I'm a little worried about this one since it has verbena in it, but I'm hoping that the lavender wins. In the Bottle: Ugh. Lemon drops. Not good. On Me: Ugh. Lemon drops. Great. Not fair. Oh well. Of to the swaps with ye. Edit: But wait! Not yet! Apparently it just needed to dry for a bit. There is a lavender smell right now too, but I still am sick of the lemon. I'll still swap it, but at least it wasn't as bad as I thought.

In the Bottle: Neo-Tokyo smells utterly fantastic! Cherry blossoms and Orchid make a beautiful combination, with a hint of sharpness that is very hard to explain. On Me: Wow, the first thing that comes out is the ozone/air scent. Crisp, clean, and lofty. The cherry blossom/orchid mixture is far in the background, giving the impression of standing on a high moutain top over looking a valley of cherry trees and a villiage. Is that also Japanese Pear I am smelling? YES! I know that scent!! I wash my hair in that scent!!! Oh I am SO layering this on Japanese Pear and Ginsing! This is divine! Utterly divine!! Especially with the fact that I can slatehr this one me and not feel guilty in any way!

In the Bottle: Forbidden Fruit smells like a light almond scent, or maybe amber and musk. Its not overwhelmingly so, not as sweet, but the base comes through quite a bit. On Me: Ah, the smell of cut apples perhaps, along with gardenias, or some other thick, white flower, although I would bet on gardenias or magnolias. This is a sweet scent, innocent yet flirty, but begins to fade rather quickly. This is another gorgeous scent that I shall slather and covet until I can get a bigger bottle!

In the Bottle: Light spring flowers and grass. This is like rolling down a large hill covered in flowers as a child. Light, innocent, and full of laughter. On Me: Rosalind smells SO good. I was worried that it might take on a laudry detergent smell, but not this one. So light, and there is a slight sweet berry scent to it. This is very girly, and is something that I would even let my 6 year old wear if she wanted to. There is no way that I can resist the urge to slather this one on. This is just the right amount of springtime that I needed today.

In the Bottle: Loup Garou smells like cypress and pine, which is probably the eucalyptus. It smells like running through the woods. On Me: The smell of strong pine and eucalyptus really comes through on this giving it a medicinal woods smell. This is almost like walking through a forest with nothing but vicks under your nose. Depite that, I'm in love with this scent. The medicinal woods blends together beautifully and more and more of the woods are starting to come through. And normally a scent will only give me a few ideas about stories. This one is giving me at least 10 different ones right off the bat. The is a perfect writing oil. I'm slathering.

In the Bottle: Lavender, lotus, and allspice I think. I wonder what it is about lotus that makes me so hot? On Me: Le purrr....now I know why. Sensual is right. This is dead sexy on me, DEAD sexy. With a name like Paris I shuddered to think what it would smell like. Trust me, this smells nothing like Paris. A real Paris scent would be Ode de Doggie Doo or something. This is gorgeous, and captures the romantic thought of a Paris long gone. And I'm dead sexy in lotus.

In the Bottle: WOAH! Brown sugar and Sugar and sugar and sugar! Yeah, Sugar Skull is very aptly named. Death by Sugar could be another good name. Diabetic Coma could be another one. To tell you the truth, I was rather frightened of this one, which is why I saved this to the last of the limited editions to try. On Me: Have you ever noticed that the ones that you are scared about the most are the ones that you fall the most in love with? This was afully strong on me at first, but then it turned into a gorgeous sweet allspice scent that was a tad masculine. After a little while after that, it turned into a faint maple syrup that I can still smell on me 10 hours later! There's something else here that I'm finding rather hard to place, but for the most part it's still rather sugary. This is my favorite of the Halloween LE's! This is totally gorgeous!

In the Bottle: Hunter Moon smells like thick wine, eucalyptus maybe, and the background note of smoke. On Me: The leaves, fire, and animalistic smells come out strong when I first put Hunter Moon on. I was a little worried about the animal smells, but it really smells nice all together like this. The wine pulls it all together and just makes this one delicious smell. After a while, the wine smell dies down, and there's almost a tabacco scent to it. This is really nice. Once again the Moon scents are my favorites!

In the Bottle: All Saint’s is a lot more foody than I would think. It has almost a caramel scent to it, though there could be some rose in there somewhere. On Me: There’s the Rose! Oh wow, that’s super nice! Rose and autumn leaves, frankensence and myrrh. The foody scent is deep in the background now and very, very faint, which is good. This takes on a very holy scent, a pure scent mixed in with the falling autumn leaves. Oh my goodness, this so far is my favorite Halloween scent! There seems to be a bit of mint in here as well, and oh my goodness its just perfect!!! I am so glad that I got a bottle of this! I am so slathering this baby on!!!

This was a wonderful freebie in my last box. In the Bottle: Peace has that peppery/floral scent of wisteria. So far, that's all I can tell. On Me: Its turned rather soapy on me, so its wisteria soap. Its a very odd combination, maybe wysteria and wax flower? It seems like something that I've put in an arrangement before. The pepper is starting to calm down leaving a warm soapy smell. This is very exotic and something that I like a lot. I can't wait for this to come out so that I can get a bigger bottle. I'll hoarde the imp until it does like Obeah and Kwenku Ananasi.

I was super excited about this LE, particularly after smelling Jack. Samhain is my favorite time of year, and it looks like Autumn has finally come to Florida, as its starting to get a little cooler. In the Bottle: Samhain smells like pumpkin pie, with cloves and nutmeg and allspice. I think I can get a wiff of fir branches and maybe some patchouli in there as well...maybe some tobacco too. On Me: I'm getting a lot more apple in this than anything else. Sweet, juicy red apple with autumn leaves, maybe a bit of the fir. The only problem is...its going away way too fast. This totally lacks the staying power of Dia de los Muertos which pretty much stayed strong on me all day. The fir is coming out more than anything else right now, so I'm reapplying. Now I'm getting a little bit more of the pumpkin, but the fir branches take over really quick. But now the pumpkin is making a come back, so this seems to be a peekaboo scent. I really like this one even though its not as heavy on the pumpkin as Jack. I'm glad I picked this one up!

My LEs came in yesterday! :YAY: All I'm waiting for is for this weekend so that maybe I can get some Yule scents too! First on my list to try is Dia de los Muertos. In the Bottle: Spicy and slightly sweet, its really hard to pin down what fragrances are what in this way. Nutmeg, brown sugar, some kind of floral...carnation maybe? Wow...this scent is hard to pin down. On Me: Much of the spiciness doesn't come out on me, but a thick floral certainly does. An autumn floral with perhaps a pumpkin background? There's something thick and sweet here as well, a sugar...brown sugar. This reminds me of walking through Autumn Festivals in Tennessee. Everyone is cooking things and the smells all blend together with the smells of the changing leaves. This is what I think of when I think of Autumn (cause we don't really have one of those here in Florida). I am so glad that I got this bottle afterall. Mmm...delicious!

In the Bottle: Sweet almond and orange, which remind me of baking cookies for some odd reason. On Me: Woah! That is sickeningly sweet and citrusy. I'm usually not a big fan of sweet almond like this, but the orange really tempers this very well! And now there is a sandlewood hint in the background that just wraps it all very nicely. And, is that Rose? Mmm... This is a very sensual scent. VERY sensual. I can't keep my nose off of my wrist or keep my eyes from closing in ecstacy every time I sniff. The almond smell isn't as heady as it once was, but the scent remains faint but there...not too powerful at all. This is definately a big bottle in the future.

In the Bottle: Hollywood Babylon smells like cherry and strawberry. Mmm...yummy. On Me: The cherry and strawberry make this scent candy sweet, bright, red, and sugary. The amber is only now just coming through, which gives it almost a malevolent tinge, just barely countered by the vanilla lightness. This is a very complex oil, sin and salvation, lust and chastity...but a very sexual scent to say the least. Oh yeah, this is a bigger bottle. Blood Lotus is the only other scent that I deem this sexually charged. I'm totally slathering now and waiting until the hubby is done with his project buddy before I jump him!

In the Bottle: Has No Hanna is very ginger and peachy, very good and for some reason makes me think of sushi. On Me: There's a sort of burnt quality to this that comes out at first sniff. Like a smoky resin quality to the ginger. It almost gives it a waxy appearance. How odd. I like it though, I guess that's the odd part. Not enough to get a bigger bottle, but enough to use up the imp.

Ok...I'm a little worried about this one. Lemon peel...oh please don't let this turn to lemon pledge on me! It sounds like it would smell SO good!!! In the Bottle: Ave Maria Gratia Plena smells lightly of lemons, sandlewood, and jasmine. Purrr...such a lovely scent, with a powdery smell after effect. I think that's the orris to tell you the truth. Here's to hoping that it doesn't turn to liquid lemondrops on me. On Me: Oooh...its a toss up. Yes, its heavily lemon on me, but not so much that I can't get a whiff of jasmine and sandalwood. And the lemon smell faces fast on me as well, just leaving the blanded scent with a slight lemon tinge in the background. This is almost holy in scent, a golden musky scent that seems to be tempered with sunshine. I love this. I'm slathering! Love Love Love!

In the Bottle: A cacophony of warm spices and woods that just makes my eyes roll into the back of my head in ecstacy. This reminds me of Pier One in a way, the different smells of the Wickers and the incense coming together in one delicious blend. This is what I imagine that a old world marketplace would smell like. On Me: At first it was a cedar bite along with cinnamon, but it quickly morphed to add a sweeter note along with it that I just can't describe...a sweeter wood perhaps? I'm not certain. The cedar is still the note at the forefront when my nose is to my wrist, which it is quite often, but in the air I smell the cinnamon spicyness. The sweeter note is coming back, and its so familiar, yet I can't place the name. Argh! Very much like a Pier One store, and I am very in love with this scent! I am slathering now and heading to bed to dream of shopping.

Compelling, complex, and utterly enigmatic: a luxuriant, exotic blend of cherry, red musk, and star anise. In the Bottle: Kabuki smells like a bright red cherry lolipop that is ooey and gooey from being left out in the sun for too long. On Me: Its more like a cherry cough drop than a lolipop, though its extremely candied. I say cough drop cause there seems to be a camphor-like smell behind the cherry, something that really makes me think of throat spray, for some odd reason. But its a musty cherry, a deep cherry, not the candied bright cherry but the tangy, sour cherry that I smell. This is the taste of a cherry once you get towards the center, near the pit. I almost want to say that this dries as an "adult" cherry. Its more mature than lolipops now. More like...I'm not sure how to describe it. And its starting to float away and show off more of the musk already. I like this. Not in a big way, but I do like it.
