A crisp, pale, almost translucent rose dusted by moonflower and midnight dew. Ooh! Another new thread for me!! Just from the description I was really wanting this scent badly! Imagine my surprise when I got it as a freebie in my last order! Beth loves me:) LOL! In the bottle, Moon Rose has a very rose scent to it. It is definately very feminine without being too overpowering, like most floral scents seem to be for me. On me, the rose scent dies down a little bit to almost a ghostly scent. More like tearoses instead of the large cabbage roses. It reminds me more of small multiple buds that are a light pink in color. And then, all of a sudden....wham. Its gone. Not really faded, just....ethereal. The scent is still there, its just...its odd to describe. Wet it is very prominent even though its not quite as powerful as say Ophelia, but within a few minutes its just not anymore. It suddenly becomes very light, and although once your nose leaves your wrist you can identify the rose smell, while youa re sniffing there is something else. Something very airy, like nothing more than a breeze. Its like standing across the lake from a rose bush and smelling the roses on the air. Gee....can you tell that I like it? I haven't taken my nose off of my wrist the whole time that I've been typing! This is wonderful!!

Forces a change of fortune, helps overcome poverty and want, and helps attract prosperity, prestige and earthly bounty. This was a freebie in my last order and I'm the first to review it! In the Bottle: A musty scent, a dark almond oil maybe with something with a sharp tang in the background. Maybe tabacco? Maybe a slight bit of vanilla in there as well. It has an acidic smell to it, as when I smell it the back of my tongue tingles a bit. Odd. On Me: The texture is a little different than her normal oils. Usually once I rub my wrists together, they are a little slick. This time they are mostly dry. The almond oil is very prevalent and slightly sweet, but a forest fire quality hangs in the background. However, this is a sweet fire, sweet smoke. If there is tabacco in it, it is very slight and overpowered by a sweetness. Is it floral, is it something else? Its hard to say. Its not citrus...maybe hycanth or honeysuckle? Not straight honey, because that glows like vanilla, which I may have been mistaken about in the bottle. But as I say that, the smell of vanilla is in the air as long as my nose isn't on my wrist. The fire smell dies down leaving a slight cinnamon scent, but very slight. I love this! This is a big bottle for me!!

Nature spirits and protectors of the world's groves and forests that appear as breathtakingly beautiful women. Hamadryads are born into a tree that serves as both a home and an anchor for the creature's soul. They are sometimes tricksters, sometimes seducers, sometimes helpful and benign, but they are always fierce and furious protectors of the natural world. Seven dry woods with mossy lichen and a gentle breeze of forest flowers. WooHoo! I'm the first one to review this scent! I hope I do it justice then! IN the bottle, I actually smell nutmeg and a hint of cinnamon at first whiff. Odd. Smell again....no...that's definately nutmeg and cinnamon. Cool... On me the actual scent comes out beautifully. Ahh...I can smell a lot of light florals, but I'm unable to figure out exactly which ones. It has a particular dark woods scent to it, like walking in a wood that hasn't seen daylight in hundreds of years. After a little while, the nutmeg smell comes back. With the rest of the scents, this is just wonderful! That floral scent is in the background still, very lightly in fact, and the blend is just gorgeous! I may be misplacing the nutmeg smell, but that is what I smelling more than anything else. This is definately a keeper!

I couldn't find this one anywhere on the site so...YAY! New scent!!! In the Bottle: Almond oil and cinnamon, I think. Yummy cinnamon. Mmm...cinnamon. On Me: Definately cinnamon...and there is a sort of powdery smell afterwards. There is a hint of citrus there as well...could it be lime? The baby powder is sort of taking over this scent and everything else is in the background... A walk into a woman room, her vanity cluttered with several pots and tins of various things, her powder for her face open, the brush lying askew leaving spots of powder on the vanity. On the vanity is a martini glass that only has the dredgs at the bottom left in it. The lime peel that was on the glass is carelessly discarded on the vanity, lying amongst the drops of powder. The incense stick of cinnamon is still slightly smoldering, the tiny curls of smoke wafting in the air past the discarded sheer robe on the back of her chair. That looks like a pretty still live scene, don't you think? I think I might try to paint that one. I'd get this one in a Big bottle. Yum!

In the Bottle: Delicious roses with the herbal scent of the geranium’s leaves. My grandmother has these in her yard, so that’s immediately what it reminds me of. On Me: *Swoon* So wonderfully rose, but a much lighter blend. This is small red flowers with big, dark green leaves. This just proves that I do love roses, just not the fake scents that I’ve smelled for so long. This reminds me of gardening with my grandmother in her yard when I was little. The only problem that I have with this oil, is that I can’t get a big bottle of it! *Pout*

Leather and basil...Oh I hope that it turns out this good on my skin! In the Bottle: Basil and grass, a very green scent that is just very masculine and lovely. On Me: Actually, this isn't as totally masculine as I thought that it would be. The leather has a sweet scent to it, which could be with the addition of the frankensence. The basil and grass add to that with an almost sparkling quality, if you can understand what I mean. I love this fragrance and this would be an excellent bottle to get.

Uhoh...dragon's blood. I must share this with LadyofDarkstar! In the Bottle: Dragon's blood and a little musk with the rose geranium. Mmmm... On Me: OOOOH! I can't get my nose off of my wrist! The Rose Geranium in this is subtle, more on the wind than on my wrist, but on the wrist is fruity, cherry-like dragon's blood with a dark musk, a black heart! It makes it sort of charred, burnt, and broken. All around me is life and beauty, but on the wrist is charred and bitter. Too Cool! I'm not quite certain if I will want to wear this on a normal basis, but I will at least use the imp and then see how things go from there.

Violets, Cloves, and tonka bean...oh my! In The Bottle: What an odd combination. Its fairly soapy and incensey. How did that happen? On Me: Um...ew. This smells like stale rubber gloves on my wrist, but the air has a beautiful aroma! But on me....just ew. I'm not going to keep something just because the air around me smells nice, while I smell like a used condom. No thanks. Off to the swap piles.

I have so been looking forward to reviewing this one! I'm really hoping that the horror writer in me will just gush with ideas from this one! In the Bottle: A dark orange and and cloves mixture, maybe with some musk or amber in there as well. On Me: *droop* Lemons. ARGH! *shakes fist as sky* Why do you torment me so, you stupid body chemistry?! THE CRAWLING DARK SHOULD NOT SMELL LEMONY FRESH!!!! *Ahem* Sorry about that. So...where was I? Ah yes, lemons. That was what it smelled like on me. Although its actually morphed already into a darker and smokier blend. The lemon is still slightly in the background, but now there is a musky, smoky blend that I can only describe as the smell of destruction long after the physical evidence is gone. This is the reminder of violence from before, perhaps the hint that the cycle will once again start soon. Even with the lemons this scent is just awesome! I will have to buy a bottle of this one when the imp runs out! This is very, very nice.

In the Bottle: Cedar and deep, dark florals. *faint* On Me: Oh! Oh! I think I found my signature scent! White floral, innocence, and yet, at the base is the black orchid and cedar, earthy and sinister. This is simply gorgeous, sophisticated, and sexy! This really pegs this character very well! I think I'm in love. I definately have to get a big bottle of this, and soon!

In the Bottle: Sweet, rich, creamy coconut! This is like I had just cracked the coconut in the kitchen (or the workshop which power tools seems to be the only way I can crack one open). If I hadn't been craving coconut before, I really am now. On Me: VERY moisturizing and VERY coconut! I thought of Hawaiin Tropic immediately and just purrred. This is so dead on coconut! I feel really tropical, like I need to be wearing a grass skirt, a lei, and a hybiscus in my hair. Well, here I can do the hybiscus at least. I wish that I could still get this in a 5mL. This is a perfect oil for summer.
-
In the Bottle: A little iris, but very incensey. Very hard to pull out exactly what notes, but somehow a little buttery. On Me: Mmm....carnation, iris, neroli....it all combines for a heady floral scent. The velviter isn't very chocolaty in this at all, and instead this is just a thick floral that I am just totally falling in love with. The neroli gives it just enough to make it exotic. A big bottle must be had of this.
-
In the Bottle: Thick violets! Especially since I spilled some of it on the keyboard. Oops;) On Me: Violets and Tuberose make an excellent combination! This is thick and somber, sorrowful, and depressing! WooHoo! My kind of oil! This reminds me of a large mausoleum with multiple violet pots in front of coffins. Totally lovely! Must get a larger bottle. This is too lovely for words.

After trying Hellfire yesterday, I think the only natural progression is Hearth! I got a decanted imp...purr! In the Bottle: The thick smell of cherry tobacco. On Me: Very, very, very cherry, and I'm talking marachino cherries! The kind that I can put in my mouth and tie multiple knots into the stem with my tongue....ehem. Sorry. To tell you the truth, there is really only the barest hint of tabacco, and the leather is almost imperceptible. On me it is very cherry, which is a smell that I adore no matter what silly jokes my friends make of it. There is a slight smokiness that is coming into the fray now, and now I wish that I had gotten a 5mL of this when I had the chance! I will have to be very, very stingy with this imp, as I am really falling in love with this one! Maybe I should start putting monwy aside now for the next batch of LEs. To get all of them at once was a hefty sum, but I just can't bear not having them!

Leather, leather, leather. I love the leather scents! YAY!!! In the Bottle: Leather and incense. Oooh! On Me: Mmmm....leather and cherry wood tobacco! Maybe even a hint of cinnamon in this one. Oh this is womderful, but in a totally different way. This reminds me of an older man sitting in a large, comfy leather chair next to a roaring fire in a large library with a fez on his head, a pipe in his mouth, and a large book in his lap. Brandenburg Concerto #5 is playing in the background. His accent is a thick Yorkshire accent, and on the walls are old hunting trophies from his earlier years when he would hunt foxes on horseback and go on safari in the jungles of Africa. This is a comforting leather scent, not the normal sexy scent. I'm not saying that this isn't sexy, it just is in a totally different way. I love this one a lot! I think I'm going to need a bigger bottle!

Erk...lemon verbena. Uhoh. But I have a friend of mine that has the same affliction with lemon verbena as I do that simply bathes in this stuff, so I guess I shouldn't be too worried. Green Tea and honeysuckle smell divine on me so far. Here's to hoping! In the Bottle: Mmmm....smells like a sushi night! Green tea and the sweet and sour tang of honeysuckle, which is a little close to ginger. Ah! My beloved ginger!! LOVES ginger! On Me: OH! *faints and purrs* The lemon verbena is just barely noticeable but the green tea and honeysuckle are just heavenly!! I can see why ladyofdarkstar loves this so much! Its very faint and delicious, reminding me a lot of the green tea that I've been drinking here lately. So light and feminine, just begging to have someone's wrist nibbled and licked. *shiver* I LOVE this! I must have a big bottle! Must! My precious!!!!

More Egyptian scents! Yay!! Of course, I need to be extra careful with this, because the last Egyptian scent that I tried was Khepra, and I loved it SO much, but the inside of the imp cap broke off entirely, leaving a small hole in it and I couldn't cap it fully. I tried taping it, but it didn't work, and it leaked all over the place. Luckily I will get a 5mL to replace it in my next order, but still...must not molest the precious! In the Bottle: Very light and resiny. This isn't what I expected at all, and I am very pleasantly surprised. On Me: Wow. Stumped! Its sweet, yet spicy and completely resiny. Its like citrus, a slight lemon or orange tang to it on the wrist, but in the air its more musky. The wrist is decidedly lemon actually, but its a nice, normal lemon scent that isn't too overpowering. A great change from the Pledge smell of lemon verbena. But it is very light, and like I said, not at all like I was expecting. This was a great surprise actually, and the lemon scent isn't overpowering enough for me to turn up my nose. Especially now that the musk scent is now in charge. I think I really like this one. So far all of the Egyptian scents that I have tried I have really liked, even though this isn't spicy enough. I'll still get a big bottle of this one though, simply because it was a step away from my ideal.

In the Bottle: Sweet berries and musk. Delicious! On Me: Slightly peppery and musky, the amber is actually coming through on me more than the berries when I smell my wrist. Off of the wrist is a sweet sugary berry scent that is just gorgeous. It reminds me of cranberries dipped in powdered sugar and frozen like that. Very gorgeous and well blended. I need a big bottle of this one too when the imp runs out. Yum!
-
In the Bottle: Moss and patchouli mostly, with the hint of sweetness from the berries in the background. It reminds me of Darkswan's Witches Brew. On Me: Delicious and mossy, very nearly with a black pepper scent to it. Heady and earthen and spicy all at once. A lovely fragrance that is sensual and unisex, not too mossy to be feminine and not too berry to be masculine. I must have a bottle of this! Must Must Must!
-
In the Bottle: Very light and airy with a slight scent of flowers. Very pretty. On Me: Sharp and ozone, like a dryer sheet, but with a beautiful floral fragrance as well. I adore this! Its so fresh and clean and springtime! Must get a big bottle of this one as well!
-
In the Bottle: Delicious Dragon’s Blood, resiny and cherry smelling. On Me: Very delicious! Lots of warm cherry scented dragon’s blood, with maybe just a hint of cinamon. It mellows out to a delightful insence resin that I adore! Must have a big bottle of this one, and I’ll have to wear this on Saturday to tease a friend. *Wink*

In the Bottle: Delicious and golden, maybe honey and some spice, maybe violets. Its blended so well you really can’t tell. On Me: UGH, ass! There must be civet in this one because even though the top notes are yummy, it smells as if I stepped in poo. Off to the swaos.
-
In the Bottle: The thick scent of a pine forest with just a hint of lemon. I'm a little worried about that lemon though! On Me: I shouldn't have worried. The strict pine scent was there for only a few minutes before a gorgeous basil/allspice scent started. Its very masculine, but mellows to a gentle fragrance. I feel like I've been rubbing up against my grandfather's face, which is a smell that I always loved deeply. I'm very, very happy with this, even if its just for the wonderful memories that it brings up! I'm going to want a HUGE bottle of this!!!

In the Bottle: Dead roses, mossy wet earth. This smells like an upturned grave. Beware of coming story.... On Me: Nothing says "I've just woken up from a long dirt nap" like Zombi. One hundred percent a freshly turned grave. *shiver* I've always had nightmares before, but this last one was the most intense one I ever had. I must have been dreaming that I was asleep until the sound of falling rain was hitting the roof. As I woke up a little more, I realized that it wasn't rain...it was dirt, and somehow my roof had gotten a lot closer than I remembered it being. I was in a box, not really enough room for me to really move around in at all, a wooden one, and thank goodness for that. It was growing darker and darker with every plop of dirt, and all around me I could smell the wet earth and the scent of the roses that had been thrown on my grave. I could hear people weeping above me, and I wanted to scream at them! I wanted to tell them that I wasn't dead, I was alive! They were burying me alive! But it was a dream, so I didn't really care about doing anything, just watching. That and I didn't want to use up all my air. Soon it became pitch black, and that's when the panic kicked in. I couldn't get my knees up to kick at the coffin, nor could I sit up, so I just kept pounding away at the top of the coffin. It might have been completely useless if it hadn't been for a few boards that hadn't been nailed in. Time seemed to stand still for me as I worked on the other boards, wet Louisianna dirt pouring on my face and body. I spat out as much of it as I could and kept digging upwards. Finally, my hand broke through, and I slowly pulled my way out of my own grave. I was gasping for breath, and looking wildly all about. It was night now, and in the moonlight I could see my own tombstone. I was chilled, the night air and the sounds of the swamp was vibrant and loud from the time in my coffin. If this was a dream, it most certainly was the most realistic one I had ever had. I was suddenly aware of the soft swishing of skirts and I turned around. There, with her entorage, was a woman that I had refused to pay for a silly home remedy for my father. I had asked her to relieve his pain, and what she gave him killed him. I even sent the police after her, though I didn't really care what became of her. She strode to me and I crouched low, frightened for some reason that I could not understand. She spoke to me, "You asked for something, and recieved it, but still you were not happy. You defamed my name, and accused me of conning you. But you also accused me of killing an innocent man, and that is unforgiveable. You have been tried by the Voudon, and we have declared you guilty. You shall live out the rest of your days as a Zombi. Take him away." I was grabbed roughly under the arms and dragged into a truck, where they put me in another box and traveled with me to Hati. Here I have been for many years, still with the smells of the Louisanna earth and the roses that were thrown at my grave in my nostrils. I keep thinking that I'm going to wake up any minute now...any minute. I mean, after all, this is all just a dream, isn't it? Isn't it? Must buy a big bottle!!!

More leather! You can never have too much leather! In the Bottle: Tonka and Chardennay with a slight undertone of tobacco. Where's my leather?? On Me: Ah HAH! There it is! Dare I say that this is my favorite leather scent?? Delicious chardennay and tonka bean are in the front, with the tabacco and leather in the background. This is a woman dressed in a leather ball gown louging on a wicker throne, her boot thrown over the arm of the chair. All around her are sweaty bodies, moaning and writing about one another on the floor. A sea of sex and carnal pleasures, and all the while all she does is sit and smoke while drinking from her crystal glass. Lust is in her eyes, her leather gloves every now and then dips down and pets the head of a man chained to the bottom of the chair, but her face shows nothing except mild amusement. No one touches her, but all of their eyes are on her. Their only pleasure is to perform for her pleasure, their greatest treat is to sit at her feet as she watches the others or to serve her wine or light her candles. And all she does is watch them, her eyes burning and her nostrils filled with the scent of them, with their sweat and their excitement. What better rush, what better ecstacy, what better guilty pleasure? *sigh* I haven't done that in a while! I love it when a scent gives me such a powerful image. Must bathe in this. I need to get more sexy fragrances.
