Yum, dark incensy goodness on me. It does remind me of my beloved Schwarzer Mond, but yet it is very different. Too bad I'm not better at reviews. Does the fact that I want a third bottle emphasize my love for it?
-
Bottle: first thing I detect is mint On me: mint, then herbs... Very spring & summer, not all girly and flowery though. This is a tomboys spring/summer scent and very much me! (even though I'm a Gemini, not Taurus)
-
Light, sweet, green... those three words sum it up for me. I do believe I have found my summertime relief scent!

This is lovely! I really can't smell much of anything in the vial at all, just like a vague cologne smell. I'm glad I didn't set it aside. On me, I smell the coconut, but not too strongly, and oh theres the woodsy/incensy that I love. The combo is fab on me. I get whiffs of both of them, its as if the creaminess of the coconut were keeping the incense at bay. This one is hubby approved too Must get a bottle!

I am just NOT a floral kind of girl. Or am I? In the bottle: smells pink & flowery, but whats that? something nawty & peppery is lurking... Wet: flowers & spice Dry: Oh dear, why didn't I order more than one bottle? What was I afraid of? This is sugar & spice and everything nice! My hubby agrees! I am smitten with Pink Moon and must have more!

I FINALLY tried my decant. Seems I'm a tad slow Holy cats! I lurrrve it! I smelled some non-descript candy in the bottle, and was afraid. Very afraid. On my skin, sugar.. then MUSK. Oh its very yummy, and warming up the sugar and musk really do go well together. I am thankful I cannot smell booze in this, or it would be ruined. Good thing I found out how much I like before it came down! (off to place an order)

Western Diamondback has knocked Green Tree Viper out of number one snake position. Every single note in it, is one of my favorites, and every single one of them work with my chemistry. There is the added bonus of NO evil baby powdery smell that I get from straight snake oil. I get whiffs of leather that smells worn in, with sage/spice, and warm tonka, and sandalwaood, this goes on for hours. Being a Gemini, the differing wafts of scent keeps me happy =) I will hoard this one.

When you need something comforting or cheering
Lionesse replied to oakmoss's topic in Recommendations
I am very sorry to hear about your friend. *hugs* I find Dorian to be very comforting, and it is a tea scent. Also, Lyonesse makes me feel very calm and relaxed. -
The glass wand caps for my 5 ML bottles come from sunburstbottle.com The trick (and thanks to someone earlier in this thread for this info) is that you have to already know the item number because it is NOT on the website. Here is the information straight from my packing slip included in my order last month. (and I just placed another order today) Item Number: ROD1/4TV Description: 1/4 OZ GLASS TESTER VIAL ROD 18/425 Rate: 0.25 each I placed my first order via fax using the form on the website. And todays order via email. ETA: Regarding the order I sent via email, I asked them to use the same CC & shipping info and to call me if there was a change in price. I had a lovely voicemail from them on Monday to say that the price was the same, my order total, and the shipping date. I like that kind of customer service =)

I swapped a bottle of Bitter Moon for a bottle of Chaos Theory III - MCCLVI, just felt like taking a chance, and boy am I glad! My husband is a foodie, he especially loves fruity scents on me. And although I am not much of a foodie myself, I wear them for him, just to see that look in his eye, ya know? As an example, he loves Fire Pig on me, and I'm just kind of "meh" about it. So upon opening this bottle, I immediately smelled the same sort of citrusy blend that Fire Pig strikes me as. BUT, there is an underlying spice, and maybe even musk as well. And both spice and musk appeal to me =) How's that for luck? Fruit & spice/musk, and we both love it!

I am not a fruit-scent lover. This bottle was purchased because my husband (the foodie) declared that I MUST have it. I was very afraid that this would turn into sweet mushy fruit from hell on me. Perhaps I shouldn't have been so worried. After all Hungry Ghost Moon is beautiful on me. Bottle: Oh dear. This is some INTENSE fruit. I don't smell flowers, thats a good sign. Wet: I'm scared, thats some seriously sharp citrus wafting up... Dry: Hey, where did the spicey mellow stuff come from? Final result: My husband LOVES this scent from the bottle stage to the dry stage on me. The look in his eyes is enough to make me wear it, even if I'm not completely sold on it. Someone said it seems like a relative of Hungry Ghost Moon, and I agree. I will be keeping my bottle =)

In the bottle: sharp, green herbal wet: herbal, sweet... its becoming too sweet dry: ugh, sickly sweet, i think its the lavender Orpheus, its not you. Its me. I just don't mix well with florals! *sigh*
-
In the bottle: honey, amber Wet: flowers... carnation? honey, very floral. dry: faint traces of floral, thats it. its gone. I love the painting and Im sad, because I was hoping for the tobacco, clove, incense and "red" scent I was reading about. And on me it went all flowery and died. *sigh*

Honestly, I've never smelled a fig. Unless it was in a Newton So I have no idea what I'm smelling, but its green, rich, creamy, woodsy, earthy, makes me want to plant things, and roll around in the grass. I bought this imp on a lark from someone, because of the unusual name. It is a surprise hit for me!

Luperci 2007 In the bottle, it smells warm, snuggly, masculine & foresty to me. wet: where is it? hmmm i cannot smell it on my skin...slather slather slather .... ok, I can't pick out any notes, but its VERY nice on me. true to form actually, since masculine scents work best for me. dry: ok finally, I can smell it. musky, sweet, earthy, forest, is that juniper peeking through? if it is, its really behaving itself. ok, NOW I can smell the beeswax I'm afraid my skin may completely devour this scent. If it lasts though, I'm pretty danged sure I will need a full bottle of this!

Red Lantern 2007... bottle: butterscotch? thick & sweet wet: caramel, cake, still very thick & sweet drying: ooooomg. tobacco, caramel, some sweet spices.... So glad I tried it, after smelling butterscotch (I'm not much of a foodie) I almost re-capped it and put it back in the box! We'll see how it is in a few hours =)

I have a love affair with vetiver, and it loves me back. This one is no exception. Imp: strong vetiver, and dark coconut wet: VETIVER dry: vetiver, dark coconut, vanilla? I keep saying dark coconut because I can't think of any other way to describe it. Its not suntan lotion, its not fresh cut coconut, its not a drink, its... dark and mysterious! I will be buying a full bottle

I grew up in a city that had a lot of tobacco warehouses. And I always loved the smell of them. As soon as I opened the imp, I could smell sweet tobacco, then coconut, then vanilla, then wine. On me, it was wonderful smelling all the different notes releasing and vying for first place. Coconut, then wine, then wood(?), and then finally that sweet tobacco with vanilla. I adore it. And for once I'm smitten with a GC scent!

Based on the notes, I ordered a full bottle of this from someone on the Sin & Salvation forum untested. Took a chance I did! In the bottle, leather, spice, warm, very male, and sexy. On me, chai tea! Then, it settles down into a very mellow leather & spice that simply rocks on me. I get an occasional whiff of cinnamon, and tea too. Verdict, I am VERY happy I took a chance on buying a full bottle.

I received a decant of this in an enormous lot of imps I purchased. I knew nothing about it when I opened it.... OMG... spices, yum. Wet, spice and um vetiver? Dry, spice, vetiver, cocoa(?) sex, sex, sex, omg... My husband took one sniff of me and I swear I saw his pupils dilate! So then I came here and read whats actually in it, and I am very confused. Because typically Dragons blood is overly, sickeningly sweet on me. But this is not. Maybe its the vetiver and other spices that make it work. I don't know but its simply gorgeous on me. I only have one complaint: 1. Its a limited edition, where will I find more???!

Limited editions equivalents in the general catalog?

Recommendations for something similar to Geek? Oh how I love it so.... -
In the bottle: mmmmm cookies Wet on skin: OMG Lemon Pledge? UGH... no no no after a few minutes of patience.... Ginger, lemon, sexy... YUM I love it =) Scared me for a few minutes, but it turned out fine!

Another reviewer above who didn't care for this scent wrote "Verdict: no. It really makes me think of something dangerously poisonous in the forest" Which is exactly why I LOVE this =) To me it smells feral and dangerous, spicy, incensey, and just melts into my skin. I plan on wearing this to work today because I feel a bit "rawr" =) Lionesse

I tried a small dab of Haloa on my wrist before bedtime last night. In the bottle I smell butter. On my skin, I got butter, and warm cake. A few minutes later, there was another spicy scent coming through, a scent I associate with food. Could it be the olive? I woke up a few hours later and the scent was completely gone. So more testing is in order =)

I tried Harvest Moon 2005 yesterday. In the bottle, I smell pears, and spice. On my skin, its a bit more fruity, but not overwhelmingly so. Its a very light, cheery, crisp scent. And it lasted most of the day. While I liked this moon, I prefer Harvest Moon 2006 for a "fall" scent.
