In the imp: Candy Canes! Wet: Candy Canes and Sugar! Dry: Candy canes mellowed with the vanilla sugar taking over. Warm and vanilla-y and very light minty goodness. I really love this. I do wish it lasted a bit longer, but that's why I need to buy a bottle to slather! This is a really happy scent for me.

A fast-acting, powerful scent used to overcome adversity through positive means. Attracts wealth, prestige, good health, and enhances others’ opinions of you. Grants courage and steadfastness. In the imp: Grape. Sweet grape. Wet: Wine. Boozy wine. Sickly sweet. Since the only way I like alcohol is in vodka sauce this is way too boozy on me, and not my thing.

A play of geological darkness and jagged brilliance. Soft and luminescent with flashes of black fire. I have this down on my excel spreadsheet as "love, love, love, love." But this morning when I put it on I couldn't figure out why. It goes on a very sweet vanilla with nothing really special. But a couple hours later (especially with a second application) it becomes this creamy, gorgeous scent that I can't really describe. The vanilla is still there, but something else has kicked in. It's very sweet and creamy with a bit of sexy. I remember why I loved it so much. This is my current BPAL favorite.

Very minty and clean in the imp and wet on my skin. Yum. After about 10 minutes it starts becoming fruity and the mint disappears. Very dissappointing.

I love the scent of this on the bottle, before I open it. It's spicy and floral. In the imp it smells very perfumey, almost as if I've smelled it before. On it smells...different each time I sniff it. I rather like it. There's almost a background of spice the the upfront sweetness.

I'm very excited about this one. It's my first rose scent and I've heard how well Beth does those. Plus I like the fruit/floral combos. In the imp: With each wiff I can either smell the rose or the pomegranate. But not both together. Wet: They start to combine on my skin. The pomegranate is currently overwhelming the rose. Dry: This is quite strong on. And quite rosey. With just an edge of fruit. It's nice, but I think it's a bit too sweet for me.

Between the amber the vetiver and the violet I was almost afraid to try this. I can't pick out any individual notes either in the imp or on my skin. On my skin it has a nice sweet spice to it. Interesting. I think I'll have to try it again when my nose is more educated.

In the imp:Astringent patchlouli Wet: Patchouli and a floral scent. Dry: This ends up being just straight patchouli on me, which is not really my thing. I'm not getting any of the fruit notes at all, nor the musk or vanilla. I think it's probably my skin chemistry pumping up the patchouli. I'm going to go to my room and pout now.

The scent of sexual obsession, slavery to sensual pleasure, and the undercurrent of innocence defiled utterly. Amber and honey with a touch of vanilla. I was really excited by O's description, but it didn't work on me. Something about it was sickly to my nose. I'd assumed it was the amber - but I just had a similar reaction to Dana O'Shee so I think it may be the honey.

In the imp: Almond. All almond. Wet: Almond and honey. And a hint of vanilla. Dry: Something about this has turned sickly on me. I think it might be the honey as I seem to recall a similar sickly note in O. I had assumed it was the amber, but I think it must be the honey. Oh well. I am sad. This is not for me.

In the imp: Definitely aquatic. Wet: Still aquatic, but with flowers. Rather nice. Dry: A nice aquatic with just a touch of floral. As it stayed on my skin it became quite soapy. Not bad soapy, just not necessarily a scent I'm aiming for in my perfume.

In the imp: Coconut with a flowery overtone. Wet: All coconut, mmmm reminds me of the beach - which is nice because it's about 50 degrees and raining here. Dry: It's still a flowery coconut. I'm not getting any of the musk. It's a pleasant scent, light, sweet and with a great association. It's definitely a like, but not a love.

In the bottle: Almost all pear. Wet: The flowers start showing up, no pear. I think I'm smelling mostly the plumeria. Dry down: The pear has returned. The florals are still there and they're melding nicely. Dry: This is a really lovely, romantic scent on me. A good balance of fruit and florals and no one note takes over. This is my first BPAL hit, and I'll definitely think about getting a 5ml.

In the imp: Flowers. Wet: Sharp Flowers. I can't figure out what's sharp about it. Hmmm. But I think I'm smelling mostly the violet. I can't really detect the lilac. Dry down: The scent is softening a bit. But it's still a bit sharper than I like. And still no lilac. Dry: I think it's too funeral for me. Oh well.

First sniff in bottle: Sharp - I think I'm getting the fir and birch scents. Wet on skin: Sharp with woody notes. Dry down: Hints of flowers, still mostly woody and sharp. Dry: It's getting much sweeter. I think it's mostly the narcissus and the rose coming through....And now the sweetness seems to have gone away. Mostly woody and pretty much all fir.

In bottle: Sharp is an overly sweet hairspray way. Wet: Plasticky and sweet. Dry Down: The flowers are showing through now, although it still end up smelling like flowery hairspray. I don't think this one is going to work for me, I smell like a Salon. Oh well, one more for the swap pile.

My first review! In the imp: It's all chocolate, almost headache inducingly so. Wet: Still chocolate. Dry. All vanilla. I can't smell any chocolate at all. It's incredibly sweet and somehow floral. I'm not sure this is me.
