This was such a bad choice for my chemistry. Dragon's blood smells like cheap cherry soap on me. Amber smells like ass. Together, they are not pleasant. That said, this was warm, and girly, and vaguely perfumed, just a combination of notes that don't work at all on me.

This started out exactly like irish cream, then faded to wood and paper with the irish cream lingering strongly in the back. Tasty, but way too sweet for me.
-
The first time I tried it, it was all spices and incense. The second time it started off as sort of a berry smell, with a definite blood overtone. (A bit too overripe and maybe rottingsweet?) After dry down the musk and incense notes are nice, but something before that doesn't sit well with me and makes me uncomfortable. Which I guess makes sense, considering the inspiration...

Pipe tobacco and leather- doesn't change much on me. A bit of a baby powder note. Eh.

I wanted so badly to like this, and it was interesting, but ultimately it didn't work. I don't think I get along with myrrh- it smells too perfumed to my nose. It was interesting and complex (a little too complex for me, I think) herbal and dried down to vanilla. One of those "almost but not quite" scents on me.
-
The other reviews make me sad- I would love to get woods and lemon from this! I get a hint of veviter, which I adore, and then it's all sandlewood in a bad way. It's well blended and it's hard to place the notes but it doesn't work on me.

I feel like i should like this but I don't. Sharp spices and mostly herbs, but it somehow still smells kinda girly and perfumed. I don't like the throw.

Judging by these reviews, I have strange chemistry or no taste. This had a weird sweet note while wet, almost like rotten pineapple. It faded away at the very end and I was just left with incense. Oh well.

The first time I tried this it was very, very faint. I got a teeny bit of orange, slightly candied, slightly sharp. That's it. The second time, it was less faint but no more impressive. First it was heavily floral, then switched to something sharp (is that supposed to be the ginger? Bpal ginger never seems to work for me) and vaguely citrus. Very girlish. Warm, and floral, and slightly orange. Eh.

I'm fence sitting on this one- I enjoyed it but wasn't blown away. Usually amber is a note of death on me, but this doesn't go bad, surprisingly. Gender neutral, cool, sharp and well blended. Classy and not girlish...

I wanted to like this, but no dice. At first I get bubbly, fizzy rootbeer, which is kinda neat, but there's a note under it I don't like- kind of a rancid oil note. Ugh. Very, very dry and a bit medicinal. It would be cool if not for that weird note... Eventually, it dries and the note disappears, but then it goes sweet, like practically all bpal does on me. Bah, sweet.

It is amazing what some aging can do. The first time I tried this it was strong strong strong men's cologne, with some faint aquatics. It gave me a headache and made my friend want to vomit. So I was a little apprehensive the next time- I was pleasantly surprised to find instead salty aquatics, fresh air and something kind of sweet, kind of manly. Very yummy and a keeper.

Wow, I slathered this and the throw was crazy. Wet this was all floral in a way that reminds me of little girl bath spray. As it dries it went coconut and musky. A mysterious, warm and girly scent... a little too girly for me. As I already have Shoggoth when I want tropical goodness, so I think I'm gonna pass my imp on.

This one refused to play nice with me. I love leather and tobacco scents, but didn't really get any of that- something in this is way floral, and I ended up smelling like my grandmother. (who is from Havana, so I guess it's appropriate, but...) After a couple of hours I got hints of leather, but it was too little, too late. Yay skin chemistry. My coworker sniffed my wrist and recoiled, so it's not just my nose.

At first I thought this was way too sweet, but now I have to keep it just to smell it on me- delicious caramelized things, no beer, and a bit of smoke. If you lessened the sweet and upped the wood it would be amazing. ETA: this ended up being one of my favorites and I snapped up a bottle when in reemerged in 2012. The 2012 version has more of the woods/smoke and less of the candy, which is exactly what I wanted. Burning woods with a touch of dark sweetness. I love this!

The geranium ruins this for me. I mostly get dark veviter and patchouli, no clove or other things, which is fine as I love those two- but then the geranium comes out giving me a floral headache and turning it into a rich, butch manly cologne. Oh well.

I snatched up an imp of Samhain '05. I get faint, sweet apple cider but no fir or patchouli. Instead, moldering apple, powdery musk and a "perfume" smell. Something in this does not like me. Ew.

Just lovely. Wet it's lemony and boyish, but not cologney, eventually the musk shows up and it's pretty. I really like this one-it's got a luminescent quality, and that sexy vanilla musk drydown that Dorian has without being as sickly sweet as Dorian. My roommate liked this so much after trying my imp that she bought a bottle.

So I'm pretty sure I really like this one. At first it's a mix of citrus candy and men's cologne but then it morphs into a smell that smells to me like a sunny, deserted beach at mid day. Cool and citrusy. I slathered it the next time I tried it and the musk overpowered me, but in moderation it's really nice. It's definitely got that expensive cologne feel, but doesn't have that blast of "men's cologne" that a lot of the masculine blends do.

This was really pretty- it smells like a fancy exotic spice shop. Don't know if I want to smell like that, but it's a nice, comforting smell. Not much of a morpher. There's cinnamon in here. Yum.

Hellllllo vetiver! Dusty, dry, woody and strong. I'm not getting any patchouli from this. It's pretty, but one note.
-
This is weird, dark and complex. Non-green herbals, a bit of orange, a bit of chocolate. It's warm and sticks close to the skin. Not quite a keeper for me.
-
To me this smells like expensive ladies perfume. A warm, sort of sweet powdery resin. It's very strong, almost sets my teeth on edge. Very "exotic" smelling.
-
Once again a complicated perfume smells like nothing but florals to me. Ugh, girl smell. These are dark, mysterious, headachy-strong florals- interesting, but still too floral for me. Someday I'll find a floral I get along with...

Nope, amber still hates me. Sharp spices and then powdery, powdery amber. Wears close to the skin. This is a luxurious, fancy woman's perfume, which makes it very not me.
