    The Candy Butcher (2015)

Purely chocolate and cream. I was kind of surprised because this is not a sweet scent. There's no sugar in here whatsoever. It's dark, dark baker's chocolate and pure heavy cream. I'm very interested to see how it ages.

Ooh that does sound nice! I'll have to look into it. I have a bottle of Xiuhtecuhtli actually. For myself, though I love it but I don't think it's quite the scent I'm looking for in this instance.

    Milk and Cream Notes

I am SO excited about Reflected Vulva! Little Flora was a surprise hit for me and that's peony (I think) and cream. So I'm kind of expecting it to fall somewhere between Little Flora (for the flowers and cream aspect) and Mouse's Long and Sad Tale, which I also love (for the lovely sweet pea in that and while Mouse's is a creamy scent I don't get actual cream like I do from flora.) I can't remember if I already ordered Love and Sleep or a different one (there were two tied for the spot I was filling) in the small luper order I did. The plan is to make a larger one before they go down.

You guys are awesome! I have an imp of Pele for her and a decant of Moai on the way. I will definitely look into the other things suggested.

    Milk and Cream Notes

A notable entry in the creamy scent category is Young Pine Saplings (Cream, clove, ginger, and honey.) No good for those who can't do honey, but it's all cream with spices on me)

Walk into a florist's shop, inhale deeply...

This is a bit of a necrobump but I just wanted to say that The Host of The Air (Peat and rolling grass-covered hills, with wine-dappled heather, white clover, cloudberry, juniper berry, bluebell, dandelion, and cross-leaved heath.) is totally a flower shop smell to me. It has that wet, green stem scent.

    Beachy, Tropical Scents

I'm trying to put together a Hawaii themed perfume pack for my mom's birthday in April. She fell in love with the islands after going there on a business trip. She said that scents that smell like Hawaii to her would be the fresh, clean breeze that's always blowing there (what she said was Hawaii doesn't really have a smell because the breeze is always blowing so the scent of Hawaii would be fresh, clean breeze with a hint of fresh pineapple), the scent of macadamia and vanilla waffles she ate at a B&B there, and orange-mango juice she had with breakfast (she says orange juice with a little bit of mango juice mixed in). I already have some scents that seem to evoke Hawaii and tropical feelings (Starring's plumeria SN, a variety of Violette Market's Hawaii/Oceania scents, BPAL Pele, hi'iaka, moai, and Orange Thyme's Thai Coconut) but I'm now looking for these three things in particular. Thanks!

    PX23

Let me just say that this is a beautiful scent! I usually kind of ignore the protos because if there's only a very small number of bottles in existence, why torture myself by falling in love with something I won't be able to easily get. But, I'm glad I took the chance on this one and swapped a wonderful forumite for it because it is SO good. Also, this is a huge morpher. In bottle: Incense-spicy. Wet: This blooms right away into a light incense scent with a light woody component. It smells like an incense stick, wood and all. This scent also brings to mind that pagan-bookstore scent that's so distinctive. In the wet stage this smells just like that bookstore scent. As it's drying it gains a slight berry note, like a berry-scented incense stick. And soon after it gains very slight floral undertones. This is a seamlessly blended, very smooth blend. It moves through all its different stages so fluidly. Within maybe 10 minutes of application an ever-so-slightly floral cinnamon note comes to the forefront. In another few minutes the blend smells like cinnamon candy (like Red Hots, but less burny-spice) with the incense behind and a soft pink floral component. Dry: this is so different from the bottle and wet scent. It's more of a soft pink floral than anything. It's not the kind of floral that amps to screeching high heaven on my but the kind of softness that the florals on Mouse's Long And Sad Tale have. (except this isn't sweet pea. I don't know what it is, but it's not sweet pea.) This ends up being a scent that doesn't throw terribly far. It sticks close to the skin. Long wear: This ends up as a soft berry-floral. It seems like it's going to stay here. Overall, very nice! I kind of with it kept more of the incense note from the beginning, but it's a beautiful scent I am looking forward to wearing.
  10. Again, not crunchy-sugary but I Fell In Love With A Floating Brain (Spongy grey and pink cake, with sweet strawberry cream, giddy carnation, and electrical pulses of white grapefruit.) is sweet, cakey, and candyish. It should work perfectly on me, I love all the notes in it but the strawberry goes plastic like some of the lab's strawberries do. Anyway, worth a try at least.

    Sleepytime BPAL

I don't particularly like lavender either but TKO, especially if it's aged some, turns to sweet, fluffy lavender marshmallow on me. I love it. I have an oil from another company that smells very similar but I'm not sure I'm allowed to post non-BPAL recs here. As for scents that are nice and cuddly that aren't necessarily meant for sleep: I second Morocco (It's really cuddly warm vanilla with soft spices on me) and I don't think anyone's mentioned Mouse's Long And Sad Tale (Vanilla, two ambers, sweet pea and white sandalwood.) To me, it's a very similar vanilla to morocco but with a soft sweet pea instead of spices. Florals are really iffy on me but the sweet pea is toned down enough that it's nice. It might be a bit hard to find but Ivanushka (Soft, velvety fur and warm musk, brushed by forest woods and dusted by dry leaves.) is totally cuddly fur on me. I like to wear it when it's cold out because it's so warm and soft and comforting.
  12. I don't think anyone has mentioned Blue Lollipops yet (Preschool graduation celebration! Blueberry-swirled blue lollipops!) it's not so much crunchy sugar or cotton candy but it is very sweet. It smells like blue raspberry lollipops taste.

I Feel the Need! (For Smells)

Your Description of Giant Vulva made me think of Young Pine Saplings (Cream, clove, ginger, and honey.) which is another Luper from I *think* the same year. I know for some people the cream went sour and it threatens to do that to me sometimes but for the most part it's cream with soft spices and a touch of golden honey. It sounds like the Lupers might be a good place for you to start. A lot of them have a similar feel to them. That creamy, skin scent with flowers thing that only every once in a while works for me. But if that's the feel you're going for maybe try the Lupers, especially the Shungas. If you don't mind a little leather in the mix maybe try Sara Pezzini (A hint of leather and an understated vintage musk layered over the scent of lightly perspiring, honey-dusted skin.) For me it's mainly "honey dusted skin", which is a perfect description for that scent, with a tiny bit of smooth, warm leather.

    Blood Rose

I got a bottle of this in a swap, according to my swap partner it was aged 4+ years. Which is kind of the only reason I wanted it because fresh dragon's blood is awful on me. From this scent I got a smooth, velvety red rose with a base of dragon's blood. I guess four years is enough aging because this dragon's blood was kind of cherry-fruity but it didn't go into fake cherry cough syrup and floral hell like the fresh kind does. As I wore it the rose kind of fades a bit and melts into the dragon's blood. Overall, I really like it. Kind of surprising for two iffy notes on me.

    Haute Macabre

In bottle: WHEW! That is strong! Some kind of very dark leaves/plant. The oak, I guess? And a hint of leather. Wet: Still dark green plants and leather. Maybe a hint of patchouli? As it's drying something... sharp? joins the mix. I'm not a fan of this scent. Drydown: Yeah, I'm pretty sure this one goes into the swap pile. I wish I was getting more leather ans patchouli from this. It is soooo strong! When I put a little on to test and walked into the room where my mother was she said "What do you smell like? from across the room. I told her the scent description and she said she smelled the almond the most. I didn't get a whole lot of almond from this but, different noses.
