OOOH I tracked this one down after experimenting a bunch with my newfound love for rose scents! In the bottle it is creamy, almondy rose. The almond sort of lends a dry, food-wood type scent to the creamy rose. Mm mm! DEFINITELY smells like Snow White but with rose. I didn't feel like it was like Rose Red, which is super cold and fresh, but it's such a pretty cream red rose. Very soft. Super awesome, because I sold off my Snow White a year ago, thinking it wasn't really a scent I felt I'd wear a lot, though incredibly beautiful. It is creamy. So almondy and creamy. Almond rose cream. Almond/vanilla/rose, all equally creamy notes on me. It's very feminine and PINK. I LOVE it! Another one for the rose garden.

This is actually now in my top 5 favorite scents, and in addition to Rose Red, this will be my second scent in which I have to get backups of, especially since it is going away forever. It is one of the most unique scents I have ever smelled. It's very iridescent and dark green/blue to me. There is a fresh coolness about it, that is slightly juicy and dark. Quickly after, the purple fruits show up, and round out the freshness in the most sophisticated way. I think the patchouli attar lends earthiness, but it's such a clean earthiness. The opoponax shows up later in the experience, and is so lovely and sweet. My god. I am so in love. Nice throw, looooong lasting.

Holy crap! This is one of my favorite scents of all time. Orange blossom and Nag Champa, more or less. I fell in love the second I opened the imp. On, it is a more incensed form of Vixen, and dare I say, I like this better than Vixen! It's super sexy, and lingers a long time.

Dryer sheetish/air freshener? Effervescent also in bottle. Super soapy on skin. I've been having a string of bad Bpal luck lately. This is just single note soap on me.

I don't know what's wrong with me at all. I'm chalking it up to me. I thought I had pretty fair skin chemistry, because mostly everything acts on my skin as it reads in the descriptions, even if I'm not a fan of it, but this one shocked me. It's a scent I should be able to glide ride into based off of descriptions perfectly. Soft cinnamon in the bottle. I was worried about how strong it'd be, as I'm not a fan of cinnamo. I mean, it's fine, it's just not my favorite scent. The transition to Amber is a funky one. A weird sour note lies in between. I think maybe my skin doesn't like this particular Amber. It's a serious shame I can't cooperate, because I really liked the idea of this, and all of the other review experiences are incredible. It does dry down to a dry grassy scent, but it also smells sour. On me, The Lion is just cinnamon and sock cheese funk This is disheartening.

Insatiable lust, unending vigor! A truly carnal, energetic men’s blend: vanilla and amber with juniper, rosewood and white pine. Aged imp: golden warm pine This does little to no morphing on me and settles down into a warm vanilla with a slight backdrop of pine and decent throw/wear time. It's a nice vanilla scent, yet not quite what I'm looking for. I don't think I'm a big fan of pine, actually. I didn't notice rosewood or juniper in here. I'm going to keep the imp, but it just wasn't as excited to me as some of the other reviewers experienced!

In bottle: Oreos and a whiff of rose! On skin: Extreme Oreos!!! Haha I love this. And rose! Rose Oreos. How perfect. I love smelling like red rose and chocolate cookie with creme. I don't smell much of any other note, but I think they are blended behind it all well. While I say it's a rose Oreo, it also smells a little more sophisticated than just that. It's just that nothing else is as notable, they're just playing the support team. Dries down to straight up cookie rose. I LOVE THIS. It's that black hard cookie scent and adult rose. Man, what a cool idea. I will use this a lot. I don't know if I need another bottle, but I'm not going to rule it out. I LOVE CIRCUS BEAR! This is my first year trying the Liliths and I am just floored by how cute and cool these scents are. Man I frickin love Oreos.

Strawberry whipped cream type candy in bottle! Smells like a strawberry taffy. On skin, the strawberry is very creamy and tart! Except, this strawberry goes instantly flat on my skin, and kind of dusty, like a pale marshmallow scent. I want to keep it to see what happens, since this is my first candy scent, but so far on me it only lasts about three minutes before the flattening. ETA: This has become an AWESOME scent! Why can't I just wait before I make a review? This is soooo cute, mallowy, strawberry...I love it! It's got good throw now, and it's awesome! I read once on this forum about 'doubledipping...' where scents become better or more acquainted with your skin the more you put it on (maybe it is just in our heads...) but this is one of those scents to me. LOVE.

Luperci 2007 is rather stinky in the bottle. Sour-ish. On skin though, it morphs into thick patchouli smothered in beeswax. I think I can kind of smell the honey, and if the other scents lend themselves to the naturalness of it, but overall this is a lighter animalistic scent than I thought. The patchouli is definitely dirty and I love it!!!!! Top 10.

SO SEXY. Made it into my top 10 for sure. Top 5 maybe. Firstly, I smelled the opoponax...in the bottle...the black Amber, and the edges of black leather. On skin, the black Amber is very prominent, and very well remains the star on my skin. All the notes are evenly blended, which leads to a high morph factor. The tobacco and the leather seem to be equally in the background. A very sweet scent. The leather starts to come forward pretty soon into the dry. The tobacco I do smell is really sweet. The leather is well worn and warm. LOVE this scent. Slinky and alluring. ETA: This has just been turning into massive Amber attack on me, pinky powder. It's just getting really hard to take! I don't know why this has turned back on me so strongly. It was truly in my top favorite scents, I just can't wear it anymore...

Tea rose in imp...lightly sweet. Parliament of Foules rose! I'm still familiarizing with roses. A wetness peaks out on skin. Grows a tad darker. Nice! I might order this. Not a morphed.

In imp: yes, laundry detergent, but SOOO fresh! Like, you would definitely pick these over any other. On skin, it's got the powdery feel of detergent. At this point, it sort of starts to dry into the perfume, Red Door, if it were a laundry detergent. It's really not that bad! It's very Perfumey, soft, tad spicy, very much like linens. I don't know if I need it, because it reminds me of my grandmother's Red Door...even if I love her smell...but I'll keep the imp around because it is very good.

In the imp it smells like the dill like white rose in Parliament of Foules, but I don't know how to differentiate rose scents yet, so I could be totally wrong. On skin: it's dry roses (still not sure, they might be white? I'm really getting that dill type scent...) and wood. Dry incense and white roses. Dry: High church incense and fresh dark roses, I believe now. Very evocative. If these are dark roses, it's the woody incense that creates the dill like quality when fresh. I love it. It's very beautiful and I'm getting a full bottle.

In the bottle I smelled the fruity red musk. Instantly after application I smell the sharp and heady red roses. Nothing juicy about these roses, just fragrantly sharp, like the dried roses in Zombi. I like that kind of rose. The amber starts creeping in, and gives the roses an odd edge...I'm not sure if it's this type of Amber, or if Amber always smells like this (has a metallic edge) because my only other frame of reference is Jacobs Ladder, and it does have a metallic bite in the beginning. I'm not sure if I like that note. I do get the red musk, but it just makes the scent 'hot' and 'dry' rather than berryish like I normally associate with red musk. It's like a soapy rose incense. Or a rose scented soap. I'm going to keep trying but I'm not sure if I like this one. ETA: After a few trials, and realizing the same note has refused to work on me in several blends with it...I have identified the culprit of my disgust as red musk. This saddens me because I feel like so many red musk blends are just amazing otherwise. It's too dirty for me...but this is a beautiful blend without it...😩

Beautiful almost nag champa like incense in the bottle. On the skin, it immediately becomes buttery cake and incense! Straightforward and I love it.

The White Rider. It is it.

Barn hay and unremarkable leather. On me, thin dry sandalwood takes over, mostly, and the hay has a somewhat chocolatey smell. I am keeping this imp because I want to be impressed with this one. It's definitely wearable, just doesn't have that...oomph!
-
I didn't have much luck with this . On me it was a thin and dry lavender with little to no warm amber. Very strong.
-
In first wear I got Parmesan cheese? I couldn't shake that association. Anyway, aside from that, I mostly got light patchouli, light incense, and a dusty beeswax. It wasn't as deep as I had hoped for.

The Obsidian Widow

Definitely a well blended oil. Upon opening cap, as well as application, the Pinot noir is immediately evident. I don't love that part, but it faded almost immediately. Jasmine is the next strongest note on my skin, and I believe I'm actually pretty okay with that note! I've never smelled it knowing what it is before. The attar of rose, interesting scent from Grooming Scene in a Brothel, also pokes out, but overall it stays pretty balanced. Perfumey, warm, dark red in color with a speck of white floral, and it dries down into a red incense and breath of jasmine for me. Nice. I'll use the imp, but definitely not an every day scent so I'm not sure if I'm get a bottle. -
The Antikythera Mechanism

I am so glad I waited to make this review. Before sitting through the initial 20 seconds of the extreme blast of wood in this blend, I had tested it twice and felt pretty heartbroken because I wasn't getting the beauty it is claimed to hold. I can say now, that this is a warm, sexy, interesting scent. I have truly not smelled anything like it, (haven't tried GV) is not uncommon for Bpal, but I definitely fell in love with this. Can't get over that tobacco note. Strong initial wood note, but it quickly simmers into a perfectly balanced blend. Black vanilla sticks around strongly, and polishes the wood so warmly. -
First time trying a white rose blend...WOOOoW. Another real rose blend for the garden. Pale rose, indeed sharp almost dill-ish (so pretty), sweet resins. The incense is fairly straightforward. Since I don't have a white rose and incense blend already, this is awesome. White rose is definitely fresh like Rose Red, but no sap here. Glad I ordered a bottle!

Chocolate and amber in imp? Smells a little cedar like on my skin as well. Maybe no chocolate, maybe just cedar and amber. It's nice, but I think I have other bpals I like as my 'golden' scents a little better I think!

White Rabbit: I had an imp of this once a long time ago and it freaked me out because it was really peppery, and I wasn't used to that in scents at the time. It was when I first experimented with Bpal. I since lost the imp and then years later, now, got another. Still that same pepper, but it doesn't scare me anymore, . It morphs on the skin into a nice linen note, with strong tea. I don't recognize the ginger or the honey, but if they're there they serve to warm the scent. Very nice! Something edible as well. The dry down is almost...bread and butter like?I like this one! I'd spring for a full bottle. There's a sprig of black pepper, but it really just serves to wake up the scent and make it warmer! Very clean!

Zombi: Dirt in the imp! I love lab dirt. I'm venturing into roses recently and realize I do like them, it is possible! I got super excited so I ordered a bunch of rose imps, but this one came along free with a big order! Applying, this really smelled familiar. I think it might be the Spanish oak moss. It really softens the dirt up into something fancier. The dried roses are really beautiful. Like a high end perfume, but not of this world variety. It's an extremely evocative scent, to me, unless stating the obvious funeral like quality, I also think of a dark rainy city at night...and I'm thinking about getting a full bottle, it's just so fancy and dark! I think it's incredible and a must have for rose lovers, so I'll have to add it to my newly planted rose scent garden!
