Oh this is simply gorgeous - a well-rounded blend of jasmine, rose, and a slightly mossy base to temper the rich florals. Nuit is just so bright and beautiful, like the smell of the inside of a sweet buttery flower blossom flecked with pollen. It really does remind me of the goddess.

What can I say that hasn't been said? This is 100% pure, freshcut rose.

A glittering icicle of a woman, regal, proud and cold: shimmering white grapefruit, pale flowers and lemon bark with orchid, rose and a dash of mandarin. This smells a lot like commercial perfumes you find at department stores...which isn't a bad thing at all in this case, because Queen of Diamonds is GORGEOUS. It has a crystalline quality to it, but the notes are so well blended i can't really pick out one specific floral or fruit. ADDED Feb. 15: Oooohhh, this is one of my favorites. It's actually pretty commercial-perfume smelling, only better, of course. It's so gorgeous, and absolutely "crystalline." Very evocative of a beautiful, vain, icy queen. I get grapefruit, white musk, and white florals, but it's so seamlessly blended I can't identify one from the other. I think this just might become my signature scent, if only I can hunt down a bottle... ETA: wow, am I a dumbass. Mods, just delete the previous post. I like this one better. merged --Shollin

Oh my God. This literally makes me feel ill. I don't know if it's a bad experience I had before involving one of these smells but I just want this OFF of my skin. I have never had such a bad experience with any of Beth's oils before. I mean, it doesn't smell BAD, it's just too cloying, too peppery, too freakin' much. *Sigh.* None of the MTP scents have been working for me. Time to give up.

Yuck. Carnation. The same thing that ruined Alice completely for me.
-
CROCUS. Evil, evil crocus. Actually, I have no idea what crocus actually smells like, but this was the same note that made Vinland smell downright nasty on me, and the only note the two share. I was thinking something more along the lines of Amsterdam, but... CROCUS. God, it smells funky on me.

On my skin, this is a dead ringer for Pink Moon, and I'm starting to think of this as the "pink" base, as in it smells like SweeTarts in the best possible way. Not an OMG MUSTHAVE for me, but it's nice I have an imp all the same. UPDATE: Just wore this again today and I like it a lot more...the Sweettarts smell is gone and all I'm left with is the smell of white florals smeared with honey and rolled in powdered sugar. Nyummy!

Ahhh this is so so beautiful and girly. When I first put it on it was sweet and light, so light I could barely smell it. On the drydown the honey came out to play, and it became a bit spicier, a bit more feisty while still retaining that girlish, ethereal quality. Unlike Tiger Lily, which went frightfully flower-polleny on me, all the notes here balance each other out perfectly. And it's an LE, of course.

I think it's just time to admit that me and cold/snowy/winter scents just don't get along. Somehow, they all end up smelling like pinesol on me. Ah well, off to swaps with you!

Yum yum. I love florals, so it only makes sense that I would fall in love with this scent. It's not really a *standout* scent in the way that Blue Moon and Chaste Moon are for me, but it's lovely all the same. The florals here are a little sweet, a little spicy, and, as others have mentioned, a little citrussy. Perfect for the days when I just feel like being uncomplicated and girly.

I don't know what any of the notes smell like except for cucumber, all I know is that I am in love. I agree with whichever reviewers above me described it as smelling like "nothing." It really doesn't smell solid, inasmuch as a fragrance can be solid, but it's much more of a *mood* kind of scent. It puts me in a happy mood. It's sweet, fresh, crisp, and perfectly tangy. Dangit, I always fall for the unattainables. Boys, perfume, you name it. First Snowblind, then Storyville, now this. *sighs* ETA: IT'S COMING BACK MY BLUE MOON IS COMING BACK OMFFFFGDSKLJDDGHGHGHGHGH!!!!!!!!!!!!11

DB is a very special scent. If it were a GC I would dismiss it, but because I practically had to sell my soul to get 2 imps I am in looove. Funny, isn't it? Very dark, woodsy, masculine scent, but with a sweet base which I'm thinking might be the smoke. Sweet smoke? Yeah, sounds about right. Anyhoos, I also get heavy woods like maybe cedar and oak, but the rest is just so well blended I don't know what's making me go ooooohhh.

Holy. Crap. This is delicious. This is smoke and vanilla, glorified. Like Dorian minus the Victorian gentleman, or rather, TAKE said Victorian gentleman and throw him in a dingy nightclub with good old-fashioned jazz in the backround and slow sultry dancing. This is way too good to use on a daily basis, especially since I only have half an imp left. ETA: Am I the only one who sees Dorian? Both of them are understated, grown-up sexy.

Like the first poster said, a big red artificial cherry lollipop, the kind wrapped in cellophane that they always give out at kids' birthday parties. Only this lollipop is tempered by what I can only assume is the anise, making it smell like freakishly strong cherry incense. Nice scent, but not for me.

I got no peaches. None. I wanted peeeeaaaaches! *throws a temper tantrum* What I do get though, is deep spicy fruit jam. I think it might be apricot. Anyhoos, it's not unpleasant, and if you like warm, spicy fruit scents Imp might just be your thing. Unfortunately, it's off to swaps for me!

Oh glory be. Like the other 500 reviwers before me, I agree that this scent is freakin' SEXY. It's a morpher on my skin. The first time I tried it, it was very dry, yummy vanilla tea. The second time, it was a delicious, buttery vanilla cookie. Either way it makes me want to lick myself o_0 Yuuuummmmm. Definitely one of my Top 5. And DEFINITELY a big bottle purchase. ETA: What did Beth put in here???? I can't stop sniffing myself. Or re-applying every five seconds. :swoon:

Too much jasmine, not enough honey. But the honey I *do* get is sooo lovely, so I'll probably hang on to this imp until I find a pure honey scent ; )

Moon Rose is exactly what the description states. A small, red rosebud covered with morning dew. It's completely nonoffensive and oh, so pretty. Even if you don't like roses, give this a whirl. I'm a big fan of the flowers, and I have to say that this is my favorite BPAL rose blend so far (although I haven't tried Rose Red yet, of course).
-
Mmmm, on me, I smell all lotus and rose, with a tinge of the ivy to give it a slightly aquatic tang. It's a very sweet, light floral, maybe not as "special" as we've some to expect from BPAL but lovely all the same. And I don't smell any lily at all, which makes me glad, because I hate lily and lily hates me
-
Dear lord, this is simply GORGEOUS. The previous adjectives describe it perfectly. Lush. Juicy. Red. Take the sweetest, ripest pomegranate available, squeeze out the juice, mix it with a soft crush of rose petals and you have Persephone. My favorite BPAL by far. It makes me feel beautiful and radiant. I don't know how I'd live if it were an LE. ETA: Holy crap, the throw on this stuff is AMAZING! And it lasts and lasts and lasts. I put this on at 7pm last night. Now it's almost noon and still going strong. I kind of want to gnaw my arm of, that's how good it smells. Is that so wrong???
-
Oh my this is so beautiful, I'm not sure if my review will do it justice. This is the only BPAL scent that's remained completely consistent on my skin. A bright, crisp fresh grape and pear scent, with just the barest hint of florals. There are no words to describe this. Just...ethereal. Lovely. Along with Empyreal Mist, this is my favortie day-to-day scent, one that I reach for every morning.

Powdery orchid and vanilla. Pleasant, but nothing special.
-
Mmmmm, this is gorgeous. As others have said, a definitely DRY, vanilla-y cake smell. As it dries down more, however, I get some definite boozy, heavier scents. I think I like the wet stage more, but it's delicious all the same.
-
This is a lovely concept scent, just not something i would wear every day Soft, aquatic, tangy.

The first ten seconds or so of La Belle were soooooo freaking gorgeous: fresh, juicy pear right off the tree (vine? bush?), bursting with sweetness and juice. Unfortunately it fades into a light, barely distinguishable floral in a matter of mintues. Alas, I shall have to keep searching for the perfect pear.
