This is my dream red musk scent, a very deep dark red musk. It truly lives up to the name and invokes a luxurious, sultry crimson red. It makes me feel like being bathed in robes of burgundy velvet. Sigh.

This was one of my favorite Crimson Peak scents. Beautiful dark, earthy and sweet. This is very smoky on me with a hint of sweetness from the dark plum. I used to be scared of vetiver but it's really starting to grow on me.

I agree with Muddy Puddles, I've been wearing that when it's cold and/or rainy out and I feel so cozy! I've also been wearing The Worst Pillow too, another cozy scent. I guess to me I tend to go for foody scents when it's cold and rainy because they are comforting to me.

PORTAL OF DEATH!!! How could I not love it? To me this smells like a dark, sweet musky plum. The scent is strong but not overpowering. It's fun and playful and makes me smile whenever I give it a spray.

I'm a fan of the perfume oil so thought I'd try out the bath oil. This is super yummy and refreshing grapefruit and white tea. Great for an invigorating bath, or a post shower slather of moisture (that's how I typically use the bath oils).

This is my go to everyday hair gloss. I love the Alice perfume oil and the hair gloss does not disappoint! It pretty much smells exactly like the perfume oil, but maybe a little stronger on the carnation ( I love carnation so this works for me!). I don't know what else to say, it's really quite lovely!

I wasn't sure what to expect from this one.... and it turned out to be a very interesting scent. I can't quite put my finger on it, but this really has a unique smell. It has the rich spice of the resin and champaca followed by the warm creamy nuttiness. I was hoping for a little more honey and dragon's blood coming through, it's way more spicy than sweet. Overall I really do enjoy it though.

I haven't tried the original Banshee Beat oil, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I first bought a decant of the RR atmo spray and feel in love with the scent and luckily was able to track down a bottle of the hair gloss. I was concerned that it would be too heavy with the patchouli and hemp, but isn't at all. It is very vanilla forward, and as a lover of all things vanilla this makes me so very happy. It smells like a lovely smoky/woody vanilla, with a kick of sweetness. This might be my most favorite hair gloss.

Départ Pour Le Sabbat (Aufbruch Zum Hexensabbat)
dottie_doom replied to VioletChaos's topic in Halloweenie
This has quickly become my favorite of the Weenies this year. Red patchouli does not always work for me, but in this case it really, really works. What would otherwise be a very creamy, sweet scent (which I love, don't get me wrong) is given a woody, smoky kick with the red patchouli. It's not overwhelmingly heavy either, just the right balance. I find this to be a warm, cozy scent- perfect for autumn. I've been wearing this with Revenant Rhythm hair gloss and they layer quite nicely together.- 37 replies

This was an iffy one for me, rose does not do well on me. However, I decided to get a decant to give it a try since I love honey, carnations and vanilla. Unfortunately it ended up not really working on me, and not because of the rose. The cubeb is overwhelmingly strong on me, I must amp it. Even drying down it was still all cubeb. This would be great for someone who really loves tart, citrus forward scents, but it just isn't for me.

To me this is a light and creamy scent, a lot lighter than I was expecting. I LOVE vanilla and was expecting it to be a little heavier on the vanilla, but nonetheless a really lovely scent.

Mmmmm this one makes me hungry! Super rich and creamy, it smells exactly how I imagine a pumpkin cheesecake cupcake would smell! The cheesecake note is most prominent followed by the pumpkin and spice. It's also not as sweet as I was expecting, which isn't a bad thing. Sadly it doesn't seem last very long on my skin, but the die down of the scent still smells quite nice!

I have been wanting to get a sweet creamy coffee scent and The Worst Pillow is exactly what I was looking for. I first ordered a decant and immediately fell in love and decided I needed a bottle. When wet the coffee scent is pretty strong, but not overpowering. Upon dry down the vanilla and caramel start to come through adding that sweet creaminess. I find that this has good throw and lasting power on me. It is a very comfy and cozy scent, just like a gigantic fluffy pillow!

I loved the way this smells in the decant but sadly after application it just smells like medicinal lavender on me I was hoping maybe it would change a little after applying but still remained strongly lavender. This one just isn't for me I guess.

Dark and alluring are the first words that come to mind. I was excited because this scent contains many of my favorite notes (sans patchouli, we have a tenuous relationship). Luckily the patch works for me in this case, and is an all around lovely, lovely scent. I do wish the coconut was a little bit stronger, but I LOVE coconut so I always want more!

Recently received a decant of HM. I was hesitant at first because I'm not normally a huge fan of leather scents, but this one is winner. On me the leather isn't too strong and is mellowed out by the lovely bourbon vanilla and almond. The first day I wore it I got several compliments on how great I smelled, always a plus! I might have to purchase a bottle at some point.

Decant of #247 I have to admit, I am really bad at picking out individual notes. To me this one smells like a sweet, fresh orange blossom with perhaps a little musk (green?) thrown in. It's fresh and warm at the same time, the citrus notes are predominant with a lingering sweetness. Overall I quite enjoy this scent.

Half bottle of #169: It smells like mint chocolate chip ice cream, or a creamy mint fudge. The mint is not overpowering, it's subtle and blends well with the sweet creaminess that is also present. It's comforting and makes me want to eat a big bowl of mint chip ice cream!

I really wanted to love this one, it smells absolutely divine in the decant but just does not agree with my skin. I love the bubbly champagne that comes across at first sniff and was crossing my fingers that this would work since rose notes tend to go bad on me. Sadly this was the case, and it turns to straight up soapy rose on me when applied. Sigh.

This is my favorite of the DCC decants I got this year. In the decant it is VERY smoky, but on application it mellows out and the lovely spicy carnation comes out to play. It complex and rather lovely, not as harsh as the first sniff leads you to believe.

I love pretty much anything with Dragon's Blood and Dragon's Bone was no exception. It was one of the few Dragons that I had not yet tried and bought a bottle off someone and I am so glad that I did. In bottle it is very much strong Dragon's Blood, but when applied the dryness of the Sandalwood and Orris really starts to appear. The sweetness of the Dragon's Blood keeps it from getting overpowered by the Sandalwood which tends to be the case for me with most Sandalwood blends. It is quite beautiful and complex, very happy with my purchase.

This is everything that I hope from a deep dark chocolate based scent. So smooth and rich and yummy! Really nice throw and lasting power on me. Sadly I was not able to buy a bottle so will be cautiously rationing my precious decant.

Bloodlust is one of my faves so this was one I knew I would love. I do really enjoy it but it's not as chocolately on me as I was hoping. It has all of the elements that I love about Bloodlust though.

I was not expecting to like this one but thought I'd give it a try and ended up very pleasantly surprised with my decant! I was worried it might be too strong on the pine but it smells much brighter, truly like sunshine in a pine forest. Not too strong and not too light, it transforms and softens nicely as it dries. I might have to get more!

WHY I DID I WAIT SO LONG TO TRY THIS OMG!!! Pretty much my initial reaction. This such a delicious scent! It is foody and sweet and has a nice hit of spice to mix it up a little. Who knew cake could smell so sexy? Seriously this is very alluring. I can't wait to order a bottle.
