This is starting to look like a trend. The same thing happened to me with frimps of Saturnalia and Rakshasa that came to me in February from the Trading Post.

Oh man, serving tea is the best. For me, that perfume actually got me into honey scents. Try Hemlock Honey if you haven't yet.

My husband likes the foodie scents A LOT. So Ivory Vulva, Eat Me, Drink Me, and the Key Lime Pie products and Boo from the post are great. I'm looking forward to seeing how he reacts to Shill and Gattathefur.

Here is what I have gathered from Forvo Icelandic. Corrections and additions from those in the better know are very welcome, please! This would be forvo in Icelandic, yes? Right?

Another southerner here, and I must agree this is not pecan pie. Packed spices, a bready crust,and something sharpish and fruity peaking through. This is actually an excellent rendering of a mince pie in the early stages. Later the fruitiness fades and a bit of pecan peaks out. This later part of the drydown makes me think of pecan pinwheels, the little snacks you can get in gas stations and vending machines.

Opulent and beautiful! I am pretty bad at picking out notes, and this is extremely well blended, even brand new. This is a dark rich scent. There is amber and a spicey sweetness and . . . other things I can't identify that just seem warm and brown and beautiful, classic perfume/cologne. It's full and lush. I could see this as a scent for a man or a woman, but either way this is a grown up, dressed up to the nines, going out to an important ocassion, beaded gown, tailored suit, real jewels, expensive watch, furs, pearls, cuff links kind of smell to me. Big throw, and I suspect it will last well.

I am checking back in after almost a year. The tobacco and pine notes that were sharp when this oil was fresh have mellowed considerably. The chief impression now is the fruitiness of the dried tobacco, with a resinous bass of evergreen woods. This seems dark and mysterious, but the individual notes are much harder to identify. MUCH more wearable and unisex than the first impression I got a year ago, I'm so glad I held onto my imp!

Earthy, smokey, complex, sweet patchouli softened by coconut. This one lasts and lasts and will combine well with many of the BPAL family of perfumes and bath oils. Edit to add that while many patch blends can be kind of agressive in terms of throw, this one is a lot calmer. Definitely a great fall HG for me!

Lovely! I get the tea, sugar, lemon balm, and honey at first with the mint and rose in the back ground. After a few minutes the tea recedes and the sugar and honey are the most dominant with the flowers and mint still present. Over all this is fresh, sweet, floral, and surprisingly long lasting (12 hours close to my skin). It is hard for me to judge throw, but this is not overpowering. For those who have tested them, this perfume is in the same family as High-strung Daisies and White Rabbit from the Mad Tea Party as well as Venus Verticodia from the 2015 Lupers. Iulia is a wonderful execution of a light sweet floral and will be a welcome addition to my spring scents collection.

Guava, orange peel, white pepper, spun sugar and apple blossom. 2015 This smells great! The first few whiffs remind me of the green Herbal Essences shampoo I wore in the late 90's, but prettier. As it dries the guava becomes more prominent, and the white pepper comes out to play. This is warm and sweet and so happy. I think I'll wear it in the winter when I need a pick-me-up.

On me the many notes in this blend combine for a wonderfully calm spiced floral. I cannot identify the notes, but there seems a lovely gingery, incensy light spice over soft water lily and . . . other flowers. I can smell the bay and sage too in the back ground. Medium throw, moderately long lasting (all day, but not through a shower). This is sophistocated, a little sweet, very pleasant, feminine (although it is complex enough that it may do well for men too). A masterpiece from the lab. Note: this scent shifted significantly for me from its arrival in mid July to the present moment (about six weeks), it was much more strident and herbal early on.

I happen to have a penchant for "Raaaarg" blends, as opposed to traditional cologne scents. Some from the general catalogue that might work: Orc Field grey courgette musk, roughly cured leather, and vetiver. Fighter Leather, musk, blood, and steel. Scarecrow Scent of a hot wind blowing through desolate, scorched, and barren fields. Iago Sinuous black musk, wet leather and vetiver. Some un-impables from the GC: Captain Cully A cocky light musk with leather, tonka, a dusting of dry woods, and a splash of porter. King Haggard Dry cedar, bitter balsam, and ashes. skekUng the Garthim-Master Vetiver, smoke, steel, and dragon's blood resin. Agnes Nutter Gunpowder, charred wood, smoke, and rusty nails. Hastur Smoky-sour labdanum, black patchouli, wet tobacco, and brimstone. Mr. Vandemar Opoponax, costus, black pepper, black sandalwood, and polished metal. And some limited editions that are similar to Loup Garou in spirit, and possibly easier to find than obscure ones: Hans Trapp Tattered leather, dry straw, matted hair, sharpened sticks, and a bundle of switches. Tattie Bogle Hay, gunpowder, patchouli, a sliver of bark, autumn herbs, and sun-baked wood. October A rustle of red leaves, a touch of smoke and sap in the air. Gacela of the Dark Death Terebinth pine, pitch, and clove. The Hell-Gate of Ireland Smoldering brimstone, bitter labdanum, clove, black musk, and copper-colored feathers. I don't know how I didn't see this until now, but THANK YOU so much for this list, I will keep it for reference! Since my previous post he has also added Ranger, Rumplestizchen, and Goblin to the mix.

I also got this as an Etsy purchase (thank you lab!). There is a great blast of very fresh zested orange and mint from this, but I don't really use it as a perfume. This is an oil to fend off terrors of hot crowded spaces and summer fatigue. It will cut like a knife through body odor and funk. The mint is strong enough to make your skin tingle and will restore a sense of refreshed energy for a time. I like to put this on the back of my neck against my hairline and on the front side of my shoulders. It's like having a tiny ice pack on the back of my neck and the dabs on my shoulders act with my deodorant to keep me from getting too funky. A great friend for the grocery store, the bus, festivals, anywhere it is hot, you are tired, and/or there are too many unwashed bodies.

The concept behind this line is so good, I absolutely had to get a bottle. But I was not expecting such loveliness to invade my life! To me, this blend is herbal and refreshing. It smelled very soapy in the bottle, I was worried. But on my skin the rosemary and lavender came forward supported by the white musk. No soap here! The blackberry and bergamot notes are more subtle, but they round out this blend, giving a freshness and softening the herbs which could be overpowering alone. I really enjoyed wearing this. It's one of those scents that makes you "think pure thoughts." It's a nice "cool" scent for summer as well. I could also see it becoming a bed time favorite for many.

I like that my hubs and I like different masculine scents. His fav.s are Loup Garou, Troll, Ranger. We BOTH like Jabberwocky. And my favorites are Golden Priapus, Mars Ultor, and Christougenniatiko Dentrophobia.

I have been using your spreadsheet for the past year for my own collection and it has proven SO useful. Thank you so much! I haven't kept on top of the Trading Post either, maybe I need to look yours up and fill it in. The only major hole I have found in the original spreadsheet you made available is Cabaret Goth. I think it's an event exclusive from a con, but I'm not sure what year. I put it in D*Con from 2010, but who knows if that is right. Edit to add: My real point though is that the spreadsheet is amazing. One little event oil in 8 years of material. Seriously.

I like The Ghost, which has some similar "misty" notes to Leanan Sidhe.

He may enjoy Fighter, Malediction (which is very earthy and smoky), Rumpelstilzchen, Old Demons of the First Class, Djinn and even Jabberwocky since he likes Loup Garou. I have Rumpelstilzchen and Jabberwocky on hand, we shall try them, and I'll put the others on the wish list. Djinn litterally just disappeared on him, alas. Thank you for the reccomendations!

If you love vanilla, the obvious rec.s are Eat Me and Snake Oil. Eat Me is more gourmand, Snake Oil is sweet vanilla with wonderful spice to it. Morocco is also a vanilla spice blend, and Bengal is a spice blend without much vanilla. I would also recommend Mag Mel and Brisingamen as wonderful ambers. You might also look at Perversion or Golden Priapus. All are GC.

Asking for rec.s for my husband! His favorites are Troll and Loup Garou so far. He likes the, and I quote "Raaaarg" scents, and they seem to work on him. These scents are so off my beaten path (and he smells terrible in my "masculines" like Golden Priapus, which is just pink plastic on him) that I have no idea what else we might try. Anybody with thoughts?

I have had my tester of Joyful Romp since March, and I wanted to come here and review its scent NOW. The florals are much less prominent and the resins have come to the fore. This smells much more like plum incense to me now (probably the vetiver and sandalwood). This may be the temperature (which is 10 degrees higher in my house) or the passing time working its magic on the ingredients, but I noticed a marked change from the largely floral scent I got from this before. It still smells beautiful, but the balance has shifted.

I gotta say, I'm thrilled with the new delivery times.
