autumn scents, why samhain of course, then punkie night, haunted, midnight mass and angeronalia -
one scent i wish to hoard in litres. literally. i was a bit sceptical about TKO at first, i mean, it's supposed to be so simple and transparent. and then i tried it. and now i can't live without it. when i feel the worst, am at the edge of my nerves or feel completely stressed out, TKO is the last straw of help. on skin this is a lovely sweet lavender with a vanilla undertone. it is amazingly comforting and relaxing, and i would reccomend it to everyone. i am seriously considering it as a christmas present for all my close ones this year, i simply cannot find a person who wouldn't benefit from having it around

I didn't get any snake oil spices from this, more like it's a cross between dorian and TKO first it was almost a twin of TKO, and then some sugary tea of dorian started popping out. i am very cuirious at how this will age, i suspect the spices might appear later on. but not that it's a flaw like this, i am not a big fan of snake oil, and would be perfectly happy if Lillith Victoria stayed as she is

spellbound is one of my favorite roses. also, rose cross is great, the greenness of the rose is mellowed down by the warm and slightly sweet frankinscense. rose moon is a nice not in-your-head rose

if they get it to be more user friendly i believe people will notice it much more. a good effort

hm, typhon sounds like a good shot if you manage to find it. A fearsome creature from Greek lore. Typhon was born from the marriage of Earth and Hell, and is said to be so terrible in aspect that even the gods themselves flee from his venomous gaze. Our own blend of Earth and Hell: red patchouli, sandalwood, black musk and vetiver. also, krampus has a very animalistic character, atleast to my nose.

i wear sudha segara when i work out. it's not very powerfull and overwhelming, noone ever said they hated it, and it actually works great in keeping ME isolated from other people's scents, be it natural sweat or cologne abusers. so it's not about killing others with your perfume, just finding something that will keep "your" space clean

Amber, musk and honey? it's got "dead sexy" written all over and yeah, doesn't fail my expectations. this could very well be a signature scent, when dry it stays close to the skin with a fainter cloud allover. if there was a wearable snake skin or scale suit this would be it while drying my skin amps up the musk a little bit, but later the other notes ballance it out perfectly. my only wish would be that the honey note was a bit more like in sed non satiata - a more herbal version, here it's more sweet than white honey. still good though. and i swear it has some dragon's blood in there, although it's not listed. soooo glad i got a bottle, anactoria is a big surprise in the sexy scent section, highly reccomend

straight from the imp this is a very airy cinnamon. i was concerned, because cinnamon blends tend to be quite unpredictable. i don't have particularly sensitive skin, but saw scale viper for instance bit me right in the butt... but this one, this is a very light form of cinnamon. on the skin cinnamon is the main note, with some underlying florals, i suspect lotus and orange blossom. maybe some very light citrus too. i get no frankinscense or spice. the blend itself is very light, hence the throw is not it's strongest point. too bad. alltogether good, but not good enough to get a bottle.

how very interesting snake charmer turned out to be. i belong in the very rare type who doesn't like snake oil i can stand it, but i won't wear it. and then i got an imp of snake charmer from a friend. instantly i though omg, *the* snake charmer? but what is it to me? i tried some of the snake oil variants, but not a single one worked on me. and snake charmer turned out to be something completely different. i would dare say that this is spellbound cut in half, dismissing the rose and some amber, and stuck together on 1/4 O and 1/4 original snake oil. thank god, the snake oil residue never gets out. and one of my favorites and first bpal lovelys is spellbound it's the same musk and amber as in spellbound, i swear, alltogether it is a darker scent. and i can wear the thing from a wider point of view, snake charmer is ambery and musky, warm with just a gentle touch of spices rounding it up. too bad a bottle of this now costs more than equal weight in gold i think it's time on this forum to bring out a petition to bring back rose red and snake charmer

samhain 06 oh my god... i never knew it was possible to put autumn in a bottle!!! the scent list was horrible, completely out of my usual pickings. and yet samhain somehow drew me to it. as i opened the bottle i asked myself what again was the reason for getting it in the bottle it smelled.. well foody.. and i don't have one single foody scent that i like. it smelled to me like spices, coffe, ginger and patchouli. why coffe and ginger i just don't know. wet i could smell a strong rush of patchouli, along with some twisted spices and a brief whiff of pumpkin (pumpkin makes me sick, so at this point i got alarmed ). and then as it dried, all the spices came into harmony, pumpkin dissapeared (thank god), and the dominating note was patchouli with a peppery tang to it. on the edges i could feel the apple, but it was very very light. i was sad, because love apple, and couldn't see how it could brake through the patchouli. but then, as it dried and warmed up on my skin, the pathcouli suddenly started backing down, and a lovely spicy apple came out there was no end to my joy, the apple went stronger and stronger, until the scent blended into a final mixture of smoke, something like burning leaves in the distance, apples and mullein as i said in the beginning, autumn in a bottle. oh samhain, how you have surprised me. i have my perfect autumn scent!!

bottle : a sweet fruity slightly spicy scent. very lovely, i got very excited at this stage, because it felt like a warm floral, and those are not that easy to find. wet : still a bit sweet, the currant is fighting for life, no cypress or myrrh or anything else except ORCHID... a suffocating and heavy orchid dry: orchid, just orchid... at this point i was soooooo disapointed, because all the warmth and fruitiness had dissapeared from this scent, it was almost like a dusty tomb overflowing with orchids... then, after about half an hour the orchid starts to subside, and currant comes out again, very slowly. also, i think i feel a very weak presence of poppy. in the drydown the scent regains some of it's initial warmth, so i believe i will wear it, atleast as long as an imp lasts. after that, not sure about buying a bottle, maybe if it grows on me. just have to survive the first half hour of orchid invasion

i bought mania as an impulse, from a favorite forumite the description sounded... undescribable i just couldn't tell what to expect. after getting the oil, the first time i tried it i fully understood why Mania from the bottle it screams strawberry and red musk. wet - still the same dry - still the same on me it had a throw of about 6 hours, maybe even more. one of the most longlasting scents i ever had, not just from bpal. and thank gods, i love it. one thing is very important about Mania - the strawberry in it trully doesn't smell like the strawberry fruit. did you ever pick a strawberry leaf and put it to your nose? or smush it a bit in your hands and then smell? well that's EXACTLY how mania smells, only magnified by about a 100 times i love it, i wish there were more scents with strawberry leaf in it, it is trully a unique scent. on the emotional side, it smells provocative, sexy and brave. i'd wear it anytime i need to make people think about what lies beneath a first impression

Black phoenix dissapointed me greatly for a signature scent i expected something way more unique. this just turned cheap perfume + cleaning solution on me. i felt like a poor old cleaning lady with no future. very depressing and not in the least what i want my scents to induce. luckily not all bpal's scents are like this as-if signature one

Bathsheba is one oil that is placed in it's true and deserving category, a love potion through and through. i can't really descipher the single notes of it, not yet that experienced, but the scent as a whole is sexy and very very seductive. far more than some other oils that are glorified as attractants Bathsheba invokes a vision of a true femme fatale walking beside you, giving you subtle strenght and sensuality with her own energy. it's spicy and warm, but not distant and closed. musky, almost an evolution of body scent, carefully weaved with aphrodisiacs by some cunning magician. i can hardly imagine any woman not liking this oil, not very much chance of error if you decide to try it out. also, i got a bottle of this blind-methoding, and then later received a frimp. the oil from the bottle is much much better than the imp version. not sure why,but this is what i've noticed with many oils, and has led me to reconsider those i didn't like from the imps... oh yeah, bathsheba has an awesome throw, but on a night out you can slather it because it never gets to agressive, a very interesting trait. tested last night at a party, most conversations with male participants ended up being very "close" as in *i can't hear you from 20 cm away, but i can hear my friend asking which beer i want from 5 meters away*
