I thought for sure between the honey, milk, and cashmere notes something would go Wonksville. However thankfully this doesn't go sour, cloying, or blergh at all! So if you have problems with those notes, try this instead. It's a very nice, sophisticated creamy vanilla floofy thing that reminds me of perfumes from the mall, but one of the better ones you would find. Maybe akin to Warm Vanilla Sugar, Vanilla Lace, or something along those lines, but less cloying, more smooth, and high end. Cozy and perfect for dipping. Definitely for fans of Zorya P, Antique Lace, The Last Unicorn, and maybe Snow White. It is it's own person and doesn't smell identical to any of these but if you are a vanilla or white chocolate fan, definitely grab a glass of Ghost Milk. I have a feefee this is going to end up one of those highly sought after shindigs afterwards, so looks like this is going in my next order, too. Aaaand my pockets are gonna weep. Again. lol. RIP WALLET.

Oh wow this is lovely. It starts out with chocolate, crust, and a blast of witch shop cinnamon. I love this phase. I doofed and put this on the crux of the elbow after a hot shower, so I had a reaction to the cinnamon. I'll probably put this on the top side of my wrists next time (totally underrated application spot imho). Dries down pretty nice, pleasant dry cinnamon crust blend. The fact this doesn't go sour on me as a pumpkin and/or gourmand is a huge win. If you have issues with the pumpkin note give this a spin, dude. It's not my favorite pumpkin indie, but it is definitely one of my favorite pumpkin BPAL blends. I really like this and will definitely keep the partial, might even upgrade to a full in the future. ❤️

I just want to say VetchVesper did an amazing job on the decant labels. ❤️ Dude y'all. This stuff. Vamp smells like lebkuchenharz, chocolate covered gingerbread hearts! Which totally makes sense now looking at the notes. I get chocolate, yet t's mostly about the gingerbread and spices. Everything plays nicely together. Wearing Ghost Milk on my wrist and holding it up next t o Vamp, it makes it less foody and more like a sophisticated gourmand. Wow wow, I'll probably be grabbing a bottle of this!

Oddly enough I get an almost coffee note, like coffee and nuts with a bit of spice. I think the honey or molasses is making this cloying on my skin. Meh. Can't catch em all. This will be a beautiful gourmand on the right person.

Aye. Must have travelled late, for I too had a similar journey in this land, oh @AirimirOfGondor and @groovyrooby. The tavern was bare of whiskey and wench musk, so I sorrowed the sleet unforgiving yet again, and made way for shelter in the dark arms of the cold, hard forest. For fans of Cloister Graveyard in The Snow.

Green Elearthy notes plus blackberry initially. I get a lot of blackberry, too, especially as it dries down. Most berry scents go wonksville on my skin, although not always. But if you like this note, I highly recommend this. It does have an outdoor quality. I'll probably use it in a locket. For fans of Lady Una maybe.

Oh. My. Gods. Effervescent, snowy, but not sweet or piney, almost like a softer champagne snow note, with a slightly smokey, smuldering purplish resins/musk/tobacco thing going on. The florals soften it a bit too but do feel blackened (Blackened is the end! Winter it will send! Throwing all you see! Into obscurity! lol). The florals aren't sharp or soapy. More adding softness and color (⚡COLOR OUR WORLD BLACKENED! ⚡??). An ever so slight sour but fun wine-like note emerges, I'm guessing the plum rind. It is a bit dark and broody, but not in a patchouli or black musk way, it's softer, there's a somber lonesome mood but a gentleness to it, like you're alone but still want to cuddle. It doesn't smell quite like these blends, but it reminds me a bit of how Silence or Melancholia makes me feel, but there's soft snow and hope? I dunno, lol. Basically soft effervescent snow with BLACKENED! florals and opium tobacco musky goodness and sexy, broody, purply plum rind. Anyway I love this and will upgrade to a bottle for sure.

Okay heck yeah. This is a scent that is light and unassuming, the notes are there, I can pick up a light honey and sugar, but nothing cloying! Holy smokes, how does this happen? And would you know, there's no sneezy powder, yet it is soft like powder. No soap, but it is clean. No animalistic musk, yet a light musk. It's sweet, light, and pretty. Oh, and not sour. How does this happen? It can play through the game on its own, yet would make the best of friends with other blends. Yep, I'ma bottle. Also holy sh*t Good Elf.

Oh my gosh you guys, this. Okay short story, I wanted to try vintage Joy for years, researched batches, what to look for in a vintage, followed all the rules, then pulled the trigger on a factory sealed bottle for a decent price. I was disheartened when it smelled like plastic, indolic tuberose-like jasmine, and just cloying grossness. Totally unbearable, but I could tell what it could've been or used to be: heady, waxy white florals, vintage, yet timeless. Well everyone, this right here, this is all of the good parts of that vintage Joy bottle. Absolutely gorgeous, expensive, 1940s type floral, no grandma smell, no old turned brown perfume. I can see why ladies lost their sh*t over a scent like this. If you were looking for something similar to Joy, w/o the plastic, alcohol, or crazy cloying bits, hunt yourself down a bottle of this. I was expecting something similar to Pele, and got Joy, Redeemed, lol. ❤️ -
Picked this up over at Ajevie's Paws for a Cause Black Phoenix Charity Sale. Go help them paws. ?? The reviews really sold me on this one, so thank you all! This is like Gobo's sophisticated mom, the same sweet citrus notes with a gorgeous, waxy, white floral, reminiscent of tuberose to me a bit more than jasmine. I've smelled this note somewhere in the Land of BPAL, but can't for the life of me remember which one. Not indolic, cloying, or powdery, but deep, sweet, and lush. The citrus sticks around for the entirety of the wear with the floral, one never overtaking the other, just perfectly balanced. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. It's a fun scent, great for any age, but perfect for a sexy mamma who wears pretty dresses and knows she still got it. ❤️ For fans of Gobo, Lemon Scented Sticky Bat, if you could imagine a floral version of those.

Well @myrrhmyrrh, your review is perfectly sophisticated compared to mine. All I got was powder and metallic must from Dragon's Musk. If you love the Lab's dragons blood note, I say give this a shot. It just doesn't suit my skin as much usually although there are always exceptions to the rule.

ISO suggestions for a LARP Character

Yeah Whip. Maybe Spellbound, Dark Lace, Flesh of My Flesh. Ohh yes Liz is a great choice @feyofthefellwood ! I get badass moto chick with that, too but with a soft side. I've heard good things about Diana, Gingerbread and Leather, and Gingerbread, Patchouli, Leather, and Dark Musk. You know yes @VetchVesper, London is actually pretty dark, sexy, and badass on it's own and would layer well with leather. @artisjok I didn't think of Le Lethe but come to think of it it's perfect! Maybe Lust, too. Loving this thread. <3 -
OOF! Sweet snow (no pine) and florals ala Pink Snowballs but with gorgeous gardenia and bright neroli orange blossom prettiness. Like a snow faerie. Since Pink Snowballs is a favorite, I love this. It's also up there with The Last Unicorn and Snow White. I'm not sure why it's not more popular, I really didn't get much soap (possibly the aging process helped in that regard). Hope to see it come around again, maybe on rotation like other snow scents. For fans of Snow White, Pink Snowballs, The Last Unicorn, Snow-Flakes, and Glaucous Snow. ❤️

I held off on reviewing it to give it a chance to age. Unfortunately this strong powdery sweet. It has potential on the right skin but just too much on me sadly.
-
Well this had fruits and sugar notes, both of which are iffy (although some scents seem to be okay) and this went sour and cloying sweet on my skin sadly. This would have been a nice scent otherwise. If you like sugar blends and fruits play nicely on your skin you give this a shot!

2016 version: I got the honey sweetness lady_pandora mentioned. Unfortunately, something is souring this on my skin, like a sour smokey honey musk. It's sad, but that is life sometimes. I'm a sucker for red musk blends and this just didn't quite do it for me. Ah well! This will be beautiful on the right folk. Much more incense + red musk in the bottle.

Starbrow and Juushika nailed it! This is BPAL, dark, brooding, sexy, resinous patch. Unfortunately, this has that patchouli that turns to stale cigarettes on my skin, which stuck around. My skin's weird, so don't let this be indicative of how beautiful this blend is. This was *gorgeous* wet. Also, the next morning that patch note receded considerably leaving a mostly gorgeous, sweet yet unisex resinous blend, similar to Inez (which I'll stick with ;)) I would say if you are new to BPAL, Sin will give you a great idea of what BPAL is like . This would be the perfect goth night, romantic date night scent for the many that this works on. For fans of Inez and BPAL in general.

Dude this works! Spicy cinnamon, slightly sweetened earthy rose, or rosey earth. It has killer thow. Goff AF, it really makes me miss the goth clubs. I smell spoopy and no one except me is here to enjoy how glorious this scent is, so I'll just be here behind my computer, lol.

Older imp I think. It's alright, kinda nondescript powdery floral, powder softening after a bit.
-
Belle Epoque smells like floral champagne. High end and ritzy. I'll keep the imp.
-
Honey! I get honey at first, but a nice honey, not cloying. The grass comes out a little bit but it's not too sharp. Generally clean but not super soapy, with a light berry smell, not like grape, but dark youthful berries. It's okay, doesn't grab me, but then again most skin musk or berry scents aren't my speed. Still I'm shocked the fruits in this don't go sour, so it's got that going for it. I think if you are into these notes you will love this! Youthful and sweet.
-
Morgause in the imp and wet on skin immediately makes me think of a box of imps and The Witch Queen, musky, incensey, floral, dark fruits in shades of purple and burgandy. If that is your jam totally try this one! It's quintessential BPAL. After a few minutes the florals take over and ruh roh, going sharp soapy floral in a cleaner kind of way. Not my favorite stage. Okay the stage mop has been put away, the stage cleaned and we are back to dress rehearsal. Morgause is rehearsing her lines, with more of the fruits taking over the cleaner, thank goodness. A slight play-doh plasticine note, maybe violet is causing it. Overall nice.

This retail exclusive blend seems to have been forgotten and it took a few years for me to realize it even existed. In bottle and fresh on skin this is immediately reminiscent of Sonnet d'Automne, sharp floral and autumn leaves. Also somewhat similar to Singing Moon's sharp green bite the grass note has sometimes when mixed with certain florals. The tulip might be lending the green notes.

Dude I thought for sure I made a review about how this is the perfect scent for a King Diamond concert, what the Hell? Ahh well, Lucille must have burned it! A beautiful creamy lavender wet on skin, reminiscent of Yvaine, probably the closest I have come. Where Yvaine is bright and sparkly, this is creamy and bright, with moonflower lending a white nocturnal floral element, but doesn't damper the soft vanilla. I agree it's somewhat dusty, too. One of my favorites, and yes, I wore it to the King Diamond show. tldr ghostly soft vanilla lavender white floral

This one is interesting, smells like ancient wood and almost fruity chewy resins, charred and moldering, forgotten in time. It's okay on me.
