Flowery bananas and aquatics. Don't like this. I had such high hopes for this one!
-
In the bottle: cherries and honey, very sweet and fruity. On skin: light vanilla, honey, and dragon's blood. Lasts half an hour on me, with no throw whatsoever, but I like the scent enough to not swap it. I'm just gonna have to slather it on!

Smells like Samsara by Guerlain, only not as strong and musky as that one was. In the bottle it's spicy sweet musk, very light and pretty. On my skin a soft vanilla comes out and blends with the spices very very nicely. So creamy and sweet, it reminds me of chai. I don't really get the carnation at all, but just the spices and musk. It's very soft and sensual, and it has decent throw, and it lasts for most of the evening, but I don't mind reapplying every once in a while. Love this.

It does smell like grape and cherry juice, very sweet, very light. There's also a bit of a light floral scent underneath, it's almost indistinguishable. But I like this scent because it reminds me of something from when I was a kid, I can't place it though, and it feels like it's on the top of my tongue. On my skin it still smells like grape/cherry juice, but something creamy and incensy comes out and I can't figure out what this smell reminds me of, but I like it, and I can't attest to the voodoo properties yet because I haven't worn this out yet. It's good, I like it.

2005 Version: Sweet! In the bottle a strong, sweet floral. I also sense something that seems medicinal or herbal (but not in an unpleasant way) lurking underneath. That must be the cactus blossom or the desert cereus or something. On the skin it is sweet, gooey chocolates, caramel, dulce de leche, pan de muertos, sugar skulls, honey...I even get a shot of tequila in there. It smells delish. After about an hour or so the floral comes out, there are chrysanthemums, roses, magnolias, nicotania...it's hard to discern. Then, after about another hour, the tobacco, smoke from leaves, and incense come out. It's more like pipe tobacco smell than cigarette smoke, and I can tell the incense is copal. Everything blends together so nicely and beautifully, and it completely works for me as a fragrance. GREAT throw, and very long wearlength: lasts all day. 2006 Version: Waiting for it to age, ITB it smells like a more floral version of last years, I don't get as much sweets. On skin: less sweets more florals, not as much smoke and incense. Well, I shall put this one to age and mature, and hopefully it will become more like last years.

Snow White was one of my favorite BPALs ever. I'm so sad that it didn't come back this year. In the bottle it smells kinda sharp, there's an herbal/planty smell that people probably register as plasticky and I can smell the night blooming flowers. On the skin, the plasticky smell goes away and I'm left with a beautiful sweet, coconutty floral...well the note doesn't really smell like coconut, it's more like vanilla and pineapple. The flowers are soft, gentle, and white, and the pineapple scent is more of a feeling than a smell, but it's still there nonetheless (does that make sense?). Underneath it all is a soft, creamy vanilla that smells white and lush. It has unbelievable lasting power: it lasts all day and well into the night for such a light scent! My friends all loved the way it smelled on me too. I love it love lovelove! Beth please bring Snow White back as a GC!!!!!!!!!

OOH this is is so delicious! It smells exactly like gingerbread, spicy, sweet, and warm. I love this scent, but I don't think I'll use it, so I swapped it. It doesn't smell right on my skin, it would be better as a room scent.

Beautiful. Can smell the bamboo, poppy and the sandalwood, also can smell lavender. It's very soothing, and it does help me to sleep. But it gets soapy on my skin, however I still like it.

Well theres dragon's blood and lilac, I know for sure. But I cannot discern any of the other notes in this, it's like a wierd mishmash of things that don't go together. It smells kind of unpleasant and powdery, on my skin (maybe I have wonky chemistry) it smells like stale bread and popcorn. The voodoo properties don't work for me either, however I believe that you have to like the scent you're wearing in order for them to work. Don't like this! Adieu French Love!!!!

A phenomenally powerful attractant. Sexual and commanding in the extreme. Oh this is such a beautiful clean scent! It's lemony without being lemon, maybe theres lemongrass, or lemon verbena in it. Wearing it makes me feel like I've just stepped out of the shower. It's a little bit floral, but there is a lot of herbal in this, but a beautiful herbal. The throw on is is moderate, and this is one I have to slather on, but I don't mind because I love the scent so much. As for the voodoo properties, I get more hugs and affection from people when I wear this. It's not like guys are jumping all over me, but it works. And also it layers well with so many other BPAL blends, it smells beautiful with moon rose. I've already used two bottles of this, and I have another on the way. Yay! I love this scent!

Aquatic and citrussy, at first sniff. The citrus in it smells like bitter orange, not at all sweet, but clear and refreshing. The aquatic in it is not oceany, but more like a lake or a pond in the heat of summer, with steam radiating off it in the sunlight. As it dries down, the citrus scent blends into the background and a lush floral comes out with the aquatics. I can smell magnolia, jasmine, rose, maybe some honeysuckle, and some plumeria. After a couple of hours though, the aquatic and floral go away, and it smells like a powdery old lady scent. Not a fan of smelling like an old lady. I will use up my bottle for the voodoo properties, but it's not something I would like to smell like. But it does put me in a state of calm, and it helps me to sleep when I'm having a restless night. It's not something I would wear in public however, because the throw is huge on this perfume. Pleasant, but not a favorite.

When I first got Lick It Again, it was pure menthol peppermint. Very strong and sinus clearing. When I put it on the peppermint smell would last forever and I would get only a teensy bit of that sugary smell that everyone loves so much. Now after about two months (give or take) it has aged a little, and I'm beginning to understand why people love this so much. In the bottle, the menthol bite has been subdued a little, and it smells like peppermint. On the skin wet, it transforms into a candy cane! The peppermint gets very light and a sugary vanilla smell comes out. After about half an hour to an hour, the peppermint fades away completely, and a wonderful French vanilla sugar scent stays behind and lasts for hours. Really delish. I can't wait to age this some more, and maybe buy another bottle for this lovely sugary smell. LOVE VANILLA! Love this scent.

Well, I don't if I can add much more to the previous reviews, but I shall put in my two cents anyway. Smells like an aromatherapy blend that you get at health food stores, very herbal and astringent in the bottle. I smell a light minty smell, might be lemon mint, or white mint. I get lemongrass, or lemon balm as well. Drying down the cool coconutty scent comes out (I'm not sure if it actually is coconut though) and it reminds me of a margarita, a mojito, and a pina colada (all virgin of course) mixed into one mammoth drink....I don't think I can wear this, but I think it embodies the star nicely.

Smells like those nuts they sell at the mall that are covered in sugar and spices. I don't really get any of the cake, wine, or milk. It smells good, but not a bottle purchase for me because I don't really want to end up smelling like a spicy walnut.

Juliet is a beautiful pastel green and pink scent. It's very sweet and fresh in the bottle, smells exactly like pear! Oh how I love how BPAL pear smells! (If only Beth would bring back the single notes......) On the skin wet: oh man, sweet pea. My skin amps sweet pea, not as much as it amps rose, but enough to cover everything else in the scent at least for a while. On the drydown the pear comes back, not as strong as in the bottle, but blending with the sweet pea very nicely. In about an hour or so, the musk comes out and adds a beautiful depth to the scent. I can definetely see Juliet wearing a fragrance like this, it's very young, sweet, and innocent. A keeper!

To me, The Pool of Tears is pure lavender and honeysuckle with a faint salty coating. It actually smells alot like Twilight, only not as intense. It smells nice, but not really what I was hoping for. Just lavender on my skin. I will use up the imp when I can't get to sleep, and I need some lavender to soothe my nerves.

Alice is a pretty little scent! Her rose is not too strong, the carnation is not too spicy, the milk and honey are not cloyingly sweet, and the bergamot? I can't really smell that. My skin chemistry usually amps rose like no tomorrow, but in this blend, it is really subdued. It's like one of those miniature pink roses, not too strong, kissed with dew. Sometimes this blend has tendency to smell like potpourri on me, but usually it behaves and smells nice. It's a pretty in pink scent and I like it alot.

Shadow Witch Orchid is absolutely one of my favorite BPAL scents. In the bottle it is a strong, sweet floral, it smells like a hothouse in a botanical garden. You can really smell the orchids, like real, tropical orchids. On the skin, it's pretty strong for the first five minutes, and then it settles down into a gorgeous purple orchid, with notes of maybe honeysuckle or some similar flower. Hours later it's still going strong, I keep catching whiffs of a beautiful scent. Definetely recommended also for people who don't like conventional florals. This is like a trip to the jungle, and finding some rare orchids covered with dew. Awesome! (Oh yeah, it's also pretty sexy, guys always compliment me when I wear this scent!)

This scent is amazing. Wet, it's the ocean, pure and simple. The drydown is a salty, light leathery smell, like leather boots that got soaked in seawater and left to dry on the sandy beach on top of some old wood. Sounds wierd, but it works, and my skin loves it. It's not too masculine on me, but on the right boy it would be absolutely delish. Great job, Beth. A 5ml is on the way!

Ok, first of all, lemme just say that rose is a note that I absolutely hate in perfumes, and it hates me back. When I wear rose, it turns into a horridly strong overpowering smell, very sharp and old-ladyish. So I tried the imp of Moon Rose with great trepidation. Guess what? A rose scent I can wear!!! It's such a clear, transparent rose with hints of aquatic from the midnight dew, and a bit of moonflower, and it stays pretty true to the decription on my skin. This is the only rose scent I can wear, and I love it! My next order will definetely include a bottle of this.
-
I absolutely adore this scent! In the bottle, I smell a fizzy, effervescent ginger. It kinda smells like ginger ale. When I wear it though, it gets spicier, and the ginger really shines. The honey is there the whole time adding some sugar to the spice of the ginger, but the milk doesn't really come through. And I don't really know what the ambrosia is, but a couple of hours into the fragrance, I can kind of smell an airy ethereal scent, but it never really peeks its head all the way out. LOVE Sudha Segara!
-
Unfortunately, I cannot praise this scent like everyone else. To me it smells like Ben-Gay, straight up in the bottle and on my skin. Just a wintergreeny medicinal scent all the way through.
-
Pele is a soft pinkish-white floral. Smells tropical and beachy, but I don't really get any of the notes because it's so well blended. Lasts only like an hour though, so I have to keep slathering it on, but it's so GOOD! Recieved tons of compliments on it from girls. A guy once told me that I smelled like tutti frutti, when I was wearing Pele though, whatever that means. Definetely one of my favorites!
-
In the bottle: smells like a sour floral. On my skin: smells like sour potpourri. The presence of plum or plum blossom always turns fragrances sour for me and end up smelling like bad jelly. I get a teensy bit of honey, a little bit of sandalwood, and none of the spices. Just sour flowers. BOO Plum!!!

Guys (and girls) compliment me on Antique Lace all the time. They guys also like Shadow Witch Orchid, Alice, Dorian, and Come to Me. Follow Me Boy is a big hit with girls (lol), because of the baby powder smell.
