Gardenia, tea rose, vanilla and jasmine. This smells like a gentler, softer version of MB: Biggercritters. It starts out with a powdery rosy floral, and then after a few hours the vanilla comes out. It's a pretty simple fragrance, and I have to be in the right mood for it. Sometimes it threatens to go granny on me, so that's why I probably will not buy a bottle.

I was so looking forward to this one. In the bottle I get a sweet sweet pear candle smell, but on my skin it turns into a french vanilla candle. It smells so artificial and fake on me. I'm sad since pear and vanilla are my favorite notes, so I don't know what went wrong. Even in the bottle it smells kind of wierd and sour...oh well. Let's see how it ages.

In the imp: lavender sandalwood. On the skin: at first the lavender is dominant, and I could swear that I smell some kind of citrus, but maybe it's my nose being wierd. Ten minutes later, it's a soft floral (I think it's the wisteria because I don't really smell the rose), with a white musky base. It's really gentle and beautiful, it reminds me of something from my childhood that I can't quite place. I think I will keep the imp and ponder getting a bottle of this. This is pretty and femenine.

Very very cedar, both in the imp and on my skin. I smell a tiny bit of frankincense, and incensy sandalwood. I don't like to wear scents like this, but it is amazingly evocative and woodsy. This would be nice on a man.

On wet, it smells like Ben Gay, it's very astringent and medicinal. After awhile I start to smell the cedar, and incensy goodness. It reminds me of those Tibetan incenses that look like little ropes, and smell like cedarwood when you burn them. It's very spicy and exotic, it definetely brings to mind the peace of a Buddhist temple, smoky and filled with golden light, incense burning everywhere, the low chants of the Tibetan monks....This is not a scent that I would wear as a perfume, but maybe in a burner or something for meditational purposes.

Well, this looks and smells red, that's for sure. To me it just smells like fruity patchouli, with spices and amber in the background. It kind of reminds me of Scherezade, but with fruit and patchouli. I really don't like this because patchouli is the scent I loathe the most, and after a while the wine comes out and I really don't like wine either. I am passing this imp to somebody who can appreciate it better than I.

Oh Snow White, how I have missed you so! I first tried the 2005 version of Snow White, and I loved it so much, and I looked forward to the Christmas update of 2006 to snag another bottle, but it wasn't released that year, so I pined away for it. Now finally I've gotten my 2007 bottle and it's even better than before! It reminds me of a blended pina colada-icy, creamy, delicious. There is also a light white floral in here that I really can't distinguish, but its gorgeous. There is a bit of a tickle at the back of my nose that suggests mint, but I don't smell it, it's just an icy tingle that adds to the chilly feeling of the scent. I really can't understand why people get marzipan or almonds from this......maybe my nose is wierd and I can't smell what other people smell, which is all well and good because I don't really like the smell of marzipan. There seems to be a bit of vanilla in the base of this scent which rounds it off perfectly. And one of the best things about this scent is that it intensifies the longer you have it on, and it's just so refreshing and clean and sexy at the same time. Oh I know I am rambling, but I am just so happy that Snow White is back as it is my favorite BPAL scent (along with Antique Lace). My next payday I am going to be ordering a few backup bottles of Snow White. Beth you are a genius!

Smells like pure butterscotch, or caramel. Wierd, buttery, overpoweringly sweet. Not really something I would like to smell like.

TKO is wonderful! I've been on a lavender kick recently, and TKO is a marriage of wonderful, sugary vanilla and astringent lavender (my fav notes ). At first this is a big field of lavender in the sunshine, strong and heady, and relaxing. Then the vanilla peeks it's head out, calming the astringency of the lavender. This vanilla is unlike any other BPAL vanilla I've smelled, it's rich and sugary, somehow fluffy, a bit creamy. It's indescribeable. After some time the lavender backs away completely leaving behind the gorgeous vanilla. Mmmmm mmmm good. Now I can't really testify of it's ability to help me sleep, but it does have a soothing effect on the psyche, taking you to a place where you just want to bury your head in this scent and let the world pass you by. I will definetely buy more of this. Love!

This is nice, even if it is a bit generic. It smells like a cool aquatic floral, I can't reaslly pick out the notes individually, but it's very light and has minimal throw. After about an hour or so it fades into a soapy smell which I don't really care for that much. It's nice, but I wouldn't shell out 27 bucks for it.

Oh my god this is a screaming floral. It is so perfumey and strong I can literally taste it. I feel like I've been sucking on a bar of rose soap, oh god I have to go rinse out my mouth. Not much other than rose rose rose rose rose of DOOOOOOOOMMMMMM, with a hint of bubblegummy lotus. Excuse me while I go brush my teeth, and then proceed to scrub every trace of this objectionable rose scent off of me.

This is very soapy and fresh smelling, almost dryer sheet like. I'm pretty sure it's the ozone note in this because thats mostly what I smell. It does go from stages to smelling cologney to soapy, and I don't really get any jasmine. This is good to add to a lotion if you want a nonobtrusive scent, but it smells kind of generic to my nose and I wont invest in a bottle.

It's kind of hard for me to be fair when it comes to patchouli scents, because I hate patchoui so much. This scent is very musty and powdery, the rose and the vanilla combine to create a faint sweeness and the musk adds a richness to the scent. The patchouli and woods make it very earthy and dusty smelling, faintly sweet because of the vanilla. I don't smell any apple or other notes, this is predominantly patchouli. This is a wonderful scent for patchouli lovers but on me it just smells like BO.

In the bottle it is buttery vanilla, just like the vanilla in Tokyo Stomp, with citrussy florals. On my skin this turns into Euphrosyne on me, only not as powdery. There is a tad more vanilla in it than Euphrosyne though, and the jasmine is subdued and nice, it doesn't do the diapery thing on me. The gardenia is creamy and tropical smelling, and it goes with the vanillas perfectly. All the vanillas kind of blend into one, and the grapefruit adds a sharp citrussy twang to the sweetness of the vanilla. It lasts pretty long and has nice throw that's not too overwhelming, and this will be even more wonderful when it ages. I'm kinda dissapointed that I got the plain label, but appearances aren't everything I guess! This is a really beautiful scent, but I'm not sure if I'll be ordering another bottle because it is so similar to Euphrosyne.

wow, how can all the other reviews of this scent be so much different from what I got??! To me, both in the bottle, and on my skin, it's a rather generic floral that I'd expect to find in drugstore lotions and cheap perfumes. I can't really distinguish any of the notes and it just smells rather fake, generic, and perfumy. I'm just so dissapointed with this one, and I was looking forward to it so much.

In the bottle I get a really sharp lime with herbs, followed by a brief hint of woodiness. On my skin it turns into a kind of generic floral/citrus scent, and I really don't get the coconut at all, which is a shame because I love coconut. This reminds me of one of those expensive spa lotion/bubblle bath type scents, kind of herbal, kind of generic smelling. I don't know, maybe I'll give it a try some other time, but this is just not what I was hoping for.

This is nothing but jasmine. In the imp I detect a teensy bit of incense, but on my skin it is pure soapy jasmine. Swap!

I love honey scents so much, I ordered a bottle of this with no sniffie. In the bottle: thick, rich, sweet sweet honey goodness. It's definetely got a bit of a cough syrupy edge at first, but when that fades away it becomes a dripping golden honeycomb. I can't distinguish the notes of the herbs in it for the life of me, but after a few hours I definetely do get that makeup drawer vibe that people were talking about, kind of a dusty, sweet powdery kind of scent...it reminds me of how when I was a kid I used to play with my grandma's old makeup...strange. I can't imagine what could be making that association in this scent, but I like it, and I'm looking forward to see how this ages.

In the imp it's all cherry- the same note I recognize from Kyoto. Once it's on my skin though it morphs into pure soap. Fruity floral soap, but soap nonetheless. I've realized that all of the lab's ozone notes turn to soap on my skin. I don't mind smelling like soap though! This is a beautiful, clean, fresh scent, I would wear it on a day when it's hot and sticky and I feel all gross....maybe not a bottle purchase but will use my imp.

Oh god this does smell like burning! Acrid, bitter, and sharp, it almost chokes me when I open the imp. There is definetely patchouli (my enemy), and myrrh in this. I can't really distinguish any other notes in this, only after an hour on my skin it smells like I stuck my hand in an incense brazier where myrrh was being smoldered. This is very smoky, and ashy. Totally not my thing when it comes to fragrances, but it would be sexy on a tall dark and hansome man.

Oh man this is so good! In the bottle it smells like peppermint buttercream frosting, with a shot of rum. It's smells so rich, creamy, and boozy. The mint in this is definetely a lighter peppermint than Lick it Again. It reminds me of peppermint cupcakes. It lasts fairly long and has moderate throw. I want more! I love this!

In the imp: strong, heady floral. Very sweet. This reminds me of Dia de los Muertos a lot. I like this, I don't really get a rosey vibe at all, mostly the cactus flowers and chrysanthemums. Very strong throw, lasts a long time. Very good, this is basically dia de los muertos without the foodiness. I like it.

In the imp it smells kind of spoiled, and overwhelmingly rosey sweet. On my skin it's nothing but a generic floral that smells kind of old ladyish, and the rose amps up crazily. This sounded so lovely, but alas my skin has to muck this up. Oh and i don't get any pear at all in this. I will stick to Juliet for my fresh lovely pear floral scent.
-
Very spicy and sweet, it reminds me of bath and body works sensual amber fragrance. Later: old lady spoilt perfume smell. Verdict: not for me as I do not want to smell like an old lady. Oh yeah and it lasts and lasts and I can not wash it off. ew.

I had the same problem as dorothy_humbird. I made an order yesterday and I didn't get an email confirmation. I checked my email and all the junk folders and everything, but still nothing. What should I do?
