I, too, get bananas. Someone asked about thsi imp on the lush forum, and I had gotten it as a frimp so I dug it out to try it. I put some on before coming to the site, and decided it smelled like spicy bananas to my nose. Now that I've read the other descriptions I can pick up a hint of ginger (that's the spicy) and a bit of jasmine. The bananas are still there. Weird that I've read 3 pages of reviews and only 1 other person so far gets bananas

In the imp this smells smoky and woodsy. On me, it still smells smoky and woodsy. As it dries it begins to smell more rich, almost like the tiniest hint of caramel, and nutty rather than woodsy. Completely dry, it smells deep, and rich, but not sweet. Musky (the vetiver?) and bitter (the anise?) The scent is very strong and heady. Not unpleasant, but not something I'd wear everyday. I think I like vetiver

In the imp, this smells sort of bitter, and is very strong. Wet, it is a strong, spicy smell. A lot of scents are mingling and I can't pick out any one note. Dry, it calms down to a light floral scent. Spicy floral - very exotic smelling. An hour later, it is a sweet honey scent - a very true honey scent. I like this one.

I'm still trying all the imps I don't care for in the container, just to give them a fair chance. In the imp, this smells so strong it almost burns my nose. Wet, it smells of rotting flowers. Evil rotting flowers. I don't get any smoke scents or wood scents. But then - I didn't get a "wood" scent in Arkham, and it was icky while wet on me, so maybe wood scents just don't "work" with me. Dry, it still smells like something rotten and foul, but it calms down and isn't evil anymore. I don't feel like I have to cut my wrists off anymore - I can just wash them. It doesnt give me a headache, and ten minutes after its dry (I'm giving it a very fair chance, cause of the beautiful morphing some scents do), I don't hate it. It isn't working well with my skin, but on someone else it wouldn't bother me.

A shadowy, unapproachable forest of maple, birch, dogwood, cypress and pine softened by a garland of New England wildflowers: bergamot, columbine, rue anemone, blue violet, creeping phlox, bloodroot, toadflax, and pixie moss. In the imp, this is a bitterish smell to my nose. I've had it for a while now and just didn't want to try it. Today I used all generic bath products without layering, and decided that made it a good day to just try something in my "to try" pile. I grabbed an imp at random and this is what I got. I put some on, and the bitter smell magnified immediately. It also had a "hot" smell, like black pepper or hot sauce, and a hint of patchouli which I don't care for. As it dried, it lighted up a great deal, and began to smell "clean" instead of hot. Like soap, only not soap scented. A nice light floral scent. 5 minutes later, it was still light and clean, but also became sweet. It's still sweet - almost an hour later, and I actually like it. I'm not sure if I'll get a bottle, but I'll use up both imps I have and may change my mind before they are gone. I'm glad I made myself leave this one on for the 2 minutes it took to dry

Mmmm - this one is mostly hazlenut and cinnamon on my wrist while wet. As it drys, the hazlenut gets lighter and the spicy cinnamon gets stronger. Odd, becaues I don't even see cinnamon listed in the notes. But I swear - it is there on my wrist, at least! (Or maybe that's just my own wacky nose.) I was so worried, because Drink Me turned to peanut butter on my skin, and Candy Butcher just faded away into a perfumey smell. But this one smells wonderful on my skin, and doesn't fade away too fast. As I'm typing, I'm starting to pick up the faint scent of coffee. Maybe that is the hazlenut coming back to the surfact. . . but its wonderful!!

I love, love, love this scent! I read the first three pages of reviews, but haven't read all the most recent reviews. I will later, but in the meantime - is it just me? Or does this smell like Lush's Snow Fairy? Since I love Snow Fairy, this one is wonderful! On me I mostly smell the bubblegum, but every once in a while it morphs into oranges or cherry lollipops, and then morphs back into sweet original flavored bubblegum. I never expected to love scents like this as a grown woman, but I really and truly do love this one

This one, in the imp, isn't quite as "jump out and grab you" as the Drink Me. I wasn't as impressed with it, and didn't think twice about whether I'd buy a full bottle or not. Then I tried it on. While Drink Me turns to Peanut Butter on my skin, Eat Me remains sweetly foody, and light without being overpowering, and I pick up notes of sweet cakes with a faintly fruity scent - cherries maybe? And a little spice - a sweet spice like cinnamon or nutmeg, but that is also very faint. . . I love this one

I love this scent in the imp!! It is everything foody and good - buttery toffee and pineapple and cherries or currants (I'm bad at picking which...) - I love it! But ON me it turns to peanut butter within minutes Guess I need a scent locket soon

I get mostly roses and lilies from this one, but I also get a slightly "hot" note from it. Chili peppers? I know that's incredibly weird - but I get a slight hint of chili peppers from this one. . .

This one is all floral to me - the Oleander just comes on strong and doesn't let up! It's a very heady, strong floral. I could smell even after washing my hands, with a washcloth and extremely hot water, for hours. It did not want to let up. Which would be great if I liked strong florals, but they always remind me of older women. It's not my kind of scent, so this one needs to go on the swaps list.

I got this one in a lot on Ebay, and thought I'd give it a try. The ginger gives it a very hot, spicy note. It's not for me, but it is a nice scent.

This one, in the bottle, is a little too perfumey for me. But I don't smell the patchouli, and since I don't care for patchouli that's a good thing. So I decide to give it a shot anyway. On my wrist, it gets even headier. Too heady, and I feel the beginnings of a headache. This reminds me of Lush's Tramp shower gel. I don't care for Tramp either, unless I'm in the mood. But I know, as rabidly popular as Tramp is, this is perfect for some people! Unfortunately, for me, this one needs to be swapped.

From the name alone, I didn't expect to like this one. Once I looked it up on the website, I was intrigued by the idea of a tobacco note, since I love the smell of cigar shops (though I detest the smell of cigarettes when lit.) In the bottle, I get a slightly pungent smell that I'm not so sure I'll like. But I decided to try a bit on my wrist anyway, as sometimes my nose misleads me. On my wrist, I can smell the tobacco and a faint scent of incense. Not too heavy though, which is good as incense will usually give me a headache. Once it dries down though, Oh! I can smell sweet leather, and the tobacco is sort of in the background, but I still know its there. The pungent smell is gone, and I like this a lot more than I thought! This imp will stay in the "keeper" pile, and I while I'd love to slather my boyfriend in this (if I had one) I will also wear it myself from time to time. Could possibly become a bottle purchase, once this imp has been completely emptied

This was the first BPAL scent I bought (in a swap), and the first BPAL scent I had the pleasure to smell. I adore Midway! I love food scents in general (they seem to help me stick to my diet better), and this one is the BEST! I can smell the caramel, a buttery note (probably also the caramel corn), funnel cakes, and a slight undertone of salt. (From the salt water taffy?) It blends together wonderfully, and the wonderful smell lasts for a good, long while on my wrists. I can't stop sniffing it when I'm wearing it, and I'd love to track down another bottle one of these days!
