I spent plenty of time in Glasgow in my late teens. I bought this without checking the notes, for some reason I expected it to smell of the Glasgow of my youth i.e. pubs, wooden tables drenched in McEwan's and cigarette smoke, coal fires and damp weather. Instead I got a rosy floral I don't get the blackberries and I don't think heather smells of much anyway, so it would be hard to spot. This is a pretty scent soft sweet florals. Verdict : keep imp, don't need a bottle.

Wet-sweet citrus, like sugared freshly squeezed lemon juice On skin- green tea with lemon Dry- the lemon fades, green tea dominates. Verdict- very pretty, light and refreshing summer scent. Very like Elizabeth Arden Green Tea but without the synthetic feel. I love this and will wear it when the sun shines, a keeper.
-
Wet-cologne. Dry-Leathery cologne with a wonderful vanilla underneath. Verdict-Very masculine, just too much leather for me, need to move this one on.
-
Soft and pretty rose powder. I wish could love rose but no this is not for me. I was hoping for some similarity to Copper Phoenix but they have nothing in common for me.
-
Wet-slightly leathery cologne. not looking good. On skin- still cologne with a metallic tang, better. Dry- this gets sweeter, the spices come out to play. I love this, I think it is a unisex blend and I love wearing it. Verdict- Spicy metal. Definite keeper.

Wet-Fresh Grapefruit tea, lovely sharp and refreshing, the perfect summer scent. Dry- the tea note fades quickly, leaving a very light but bright grapefruit which disappears all too quickly. This is a great, light, go anywhere blend, the only drawback is the quick fade. Verdict- wonderful if you don't mind frequent application. Keep imp, search out more.

Wet - green and almost spicy, smells like the herb Lovage that my mother used to grow for soup making. This could be the Cypress note. Dry- powdery florals peeping out from under the greenery. Overall- a surprise like, I usually avoid florals, but this is not typical.

I just get caraway, sweet and fresh wet, then dry and dusty as it dries on my skin. Not for me
-
Wet- the smell of boiling blackberry jam, sweet but tart berries. On my skin- slightly more acid smelling, much more wine or vinegar like. Dry- are there roses here? Rose is a note of doom for me and I'm getting something like it here. Beautiful wet, doesn't work on me dry, may keep the imp to smell from the vial.

I tested a number of decants together, this one found a space on my shoulder as arms and knees were taken. A quick first test, fairly pleasant creamy orangish scent nothing outstanding. Off to bed time, lay there thinking what is that amazing smell, tracked it down to the Okayaki shoulder, wow this is , great throw and staying power. I shall be needing a bottle of this one, definite favourite of this years lupers so far

Wet- wonderful full bodied red wine- I really want to drink this but I don't want to smell like it. On skin - as soon as it touches my skin, I get vetiver, vetiver that stays and does not let the coffee out. Dry-disappears all too quickly leaving a faint plummy incense. I like this, I may need to seek out a full imp of a partial bottle.

Where is my order? What is Click N Ship? How long does this take?
mimosa replied to Snow White's topic in BPAL FAQs
I placed my European order on 2nd Feb too and haven't had a CnS yet. I was hoping that it was the Paypal problem that Venneh said and that it would arrive this week. -
This was a gift from my Witch, thank you for letting me try this even if it's not quite as expected. I get leather, more leather and wood. No honey, berries or sweetness. I agree that it is very masculine. I'm not sure when I would wear it. I will try this again when I need courage to deal with a difficult event.

Vampire Tarot: The Fool

Wet-all mint. Dry- soil and vegetation. Like digging around the mint patch in the garden and trampling the stems into the soil. -
I agree with the Snow White reviews. This all Snow White to me with just a touch of rose. I don't love rose so I'll stick with Snow White.

Beanman & Beanwoman Prepare to Attack the Vagina

Skin musk, white amber, ambergris, orange blossom, ylang ylang, and coconut milk. Wet- green, fresh cut daffodil stems Dry - I'm getting the snow white comparisons with a touch of the coconut sun lotion. Later the musk appears, this is a beautiful unique blend. I don't get the orange blossom or amber at all, just creamy coconut musk. -
To me this is sweet honeyed dragon's blood. Lovely but I don't need a bottle.

I wore Wolf's Heart for the interview for my current job. It certainly helped me feel strong and confident and I needed it as I knew one of the panel wanted another candidate.

This was a frimp. I would never have tried it otherwise, due to the presence of jasmine. This is a sweet almost foody scent, it smells more apricot than pink to me. I don't get the jasmine at all. It's lovely creamy, innocent and girly. I like it best of the Marchen scents I've tried but I think I'll get by without a bottle.

Switch Witch questions/ help Dear Witch I will try to update this during the next week, with all the questions I have missed. Loose tea or bagged tea? Or both? Both, bagged for speed, loose when I'm having a day off. I use a teapot and tea strainer. If you could have one "unselfish" wish (but personal) what would it be? I want all my daughters to be happy, healthy and find their way in life. Are there any books you particularly want to read that you don't mind being 2nd hand (or 3rd or 4th )? Any from my Amazon list and probably loads more too. Some I missed Think Geek plush microbes? No thanks, Not a plush toys collector and I see way too many real microbes every day. WoW? No (sorry seem to have lots of noes) Are you opposed to vegan baked goods? Or baked goods in general? Not opposed in any way, only eat veggie baked goods no lard etc. 2/3 I custom mix nail polish, a process called 'frankening'. If you were my witch, would you enjoy a custom 'franken', based on whatever colors/theme you chose? No finger nails to speak of, it would be wasted on my toes. Since everyone is spending the same amount of money on this swap, would you be interested in seeing the cost breakdown of each item in your package? Not really, unless it made my witch happy Do you like keys? Not for me Do you like guessing who your witch is, or would you prefer to know? Do you mind knowing? I wont be able to guess, please tell me at the end though. If it's going to be obvious who your witch is, would you rather she played the ninja and sent one big box at the end, or smaller packages along the way? Whatever pleases my witch. What color are your eyes? blue If you had to choose a color for a nightie to sleep in what color would it be? No nighties, pjs only in winter Are you interested in receiving gifts representative of Witch's country or culture? Yes Do you like candy? What kinds? Oh yes, chocolate, chocolate with fruit, chocolate with spice, chocolate with nuts. Like to try different things so if you are international anything, if in the US I remember getting sugar free cinnamon gum. (We dont have that) What are your feelings on Mardi Gras? Not happening in the UK. We have Shrove Tuesday when we cook pancakes, I love pancakes with lemon juice. Would you like homemade sewn stuff? Any fabrics to avoid? Yes (like)and no (avoid) Do you need any kitchen-related gadgetry? Would you like new nail polish? No thank you, no nails Do you like incense and/or scented candles, and are you able to burn them in your home? If so, what kinds of scents do you like? Boxes? For Bpal (bottles and/or imps) or otherwise Would you use a natural sea sponge? Are you interested in bacon chocolate? No thank you, Chocolate yes, bacon no. Coffee, hot chocolate, or tea? Ground coffee, not flavoured, conversely I like flavoured latte mix (vanilla/hazlenut) Hot chocolate is good, Drink tea all the time, mainly black tea (very British!) occasionally get adventurous with herbal, fruity, chai and redbush or green tea. Lockets Honey & Lemon sweets for sore throats. Sweet & lemony.

Wet-Lovely light fresh cucumber. Just a touch of teak, enough to stop this becoming cucumber cleansing milk. As it dries the cucumber disappears leaving the wood notes plus something creamy.don't recognise this as coconut but it's good. This one is going into my top 10.
-
Wet- all clove, instantly reminds me of Lush Skinny Dip, but the Imp is warmer and sweeter. Dries to cinnamon and vanilla, lovely comforting scent. Not sure that I want to wear this as it is. It will make a great room scent and I think it will be great layered with vanilla notes. ETA: This lasts for ever on the skin, I could still smell spicy vanilla 12 hours later.

This is lovely. Wet it's cold, crisp, green and minty. As it dries it loses some of the icy feel and softens to a green, herbal scent. I want to wear this when the sun shines and feel cool, actually I want to drink this when the sun shines, it reminds me of a cocktail with loads of ice, cucumber and mint.

Bezoar Wet - sweet beautiful spicy cardamom, makes me want to eat my wrist or make kulfi. This smells just like kulfi, sweet and creamy with tons of cardamom. This is my favourite stage but it fades far too quickly. Dry- still cardamom, with wood now and just a little cream Overall- this is a winner, just wish it had more more staying power
