Black tea, mango blossom, wolfberry, oakmoss, and star anise. This opens up wet with strong black tea and little else on me. After half an hour it starts to mellow out and some of the other notes start blending together and making themselves known a little more. Wolfberry is another name for goji berry and adds a little minor spice to this this as does the star anise, but not licorice per se. An Omen of Good Fortune is very light, not cloying at all and the drydown is woody, fresh, slightly sweet and soft.

Today is the first Valentine's Day since I was 17 that I haven't been with my husband. He loved Glowing Vulva on me, so in his memory that is what I am wearing.

Mourning Lace opens up with spices and oak and smells amazing. It is not overpowering due to the creamy vanilla making it's presence known and mingling softly with the frankincense and myrrh. The drydown is subtly spicy and elegant, lasting hours. ML will age beautifully and only get deeper and richer with aging.

At first this was an explosion of Pink Candy it was so sweet and loud. The immediate note is definitely floral with almost a soft, creamy, resinous vanilla orchid. I really amp floral notes so I wasn't surprised when this was a blast of pink florals on the initial opening. What I was surprised at was the beautiful drydown and the longevity of this scent. It is not overpowering, which was my main concern given the wet stage. It is very soft, like walking through a garden in the early morning right after the flowers start blooming. This is an extremely evocative scent.

This starts out with a very nice, soft and refreshing mandarin/tangerine scent. Is is quickly followed by a vine-y floral with the citrus still there but in the background. I am always careful with sandalwood because I amp it but the white sandalwood in this is light and is almost undetectable. After 30 minutes all mandarin and floral scent is gone but there is a soft resiny smell that remains. I do like this scent but it is so light on me that after an hour it has vanished completely. So sad because is a nice scent in it's beginning stages. -
This is an absolutely gorgeous scent. Wet, it is a deep, dark coconut (not tropical) with warm warm sensual musk. The champaca flower lends an incensy vibe to this that is light, refreshing and not too heavy. Drydown is sweet musk, creamy coconut, and lovely.

Smut 2012 is better than it has been in the last few years. It is smoother, sweeter, and less sharp than in the past. To me, it seems like there is less black musk. This is fabulous this year and I will get back up bottles of this one for sure!

I was curious about rose musk and decided to give this one a try.. When first applied this is all pear SN and lovely. I love pear scents and hoped it would stay just like this but of course it didn't. The next scent to appear was the gardenia, very soft and likeable. This would be okay too if it stayed a light gardenia but then the rose made herself known-thankfully not loudly. I amp rose so was surprised that it was so soft. The end result is a muted floral/fruit scent that lasts a long time and isn't unpleasant but not for me.

I was very pleasantly surprised by Cloth of Gold. I normally don't purchase snow or floral scents because they just don't work with my skin chemistry but this just intrigued me. Smelling it in the bottle I was a little worried-the snow note was definitely there and the floral notes were screaming at me. After applying it though, I was amazed at how fresh, cool and soft the floral is, very understated. The green in here is also light-like fern in a forest. This is a well blended oil and I am glad that I tried something I normally wouldn't have.

Mourning Shroud-this is a beautifully sweet, woodsy scent with a light citrus undertone. The citrus burns off pretty quickly on me and leaves the gorgeous light sandalwood mingles nicely with the almond milk to make this a very smooth and likeable oil. It is very heady with the deep resins staying all day even after eight hours.

I wanted to love this scent but on my skin it smells like cream of corn soup. It is very heavy and lasts a very long time and lingers very cloyingly. It has the same scent as Barleycorn from one of the Halloween blends. The artwork and concept are great, the notes should work on me so I am a bit disappointed that it is disagreeing with my chemistry.

I was very anxious to try a marigold scent-just the thought of what Beth might come up with pretty exciting. I love marigolds and always plant them around my flower gardens-they seem to keep the pesky bugs away from eating the flowers. To me Flor De Muerto is a bright and golden scent with a touch of spice and sweetness. It is very fragrant without being cloying or overpowering. I normally don't wear floral notes but the spices in it blend well and even it out to the point that you don't notice just the spice or just the floral. It is very well balanced and the longer I have it on the more surprised I am that that it works so well with my skin chemistry. Very good throw, lasts for hours.

I was at the Trunk Show when this was released but unfortunately was not able to purchase a bottle then. I was too far back in the line and it had disappeared by the time my number was called. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to purchase it then but hoped that it would be offered again at another Truck Show. It was love at first smell! I love Beth's pumpkin oils, they just get me in the mood for Autumn, Fall and Christmas. Living in Southern CA. there is no change in seasons and I really need these oils to help me along in the change of weather, so to speak. As soon as I saw this on the Halloween Update, I purchased a bottle-I was that excited! I do notice a difference in the two versions. The Prototype seemed to have more of a Pumpkin flair and more spices in it. It really smelled like a ready to bake Pumpkin Pie right before you popped it into the oven. I really didn't get the Blackberry, but I did get a touch of sweetness from it. The released version is a bit different, not bad, just different. It seems to have less of the pumpkin flavor and be more buttery. I also experienced the red hot candy phase that others went through. I would rather have the allspice, cinnamon, clove, ginger phase because that is what works best with my skin chemistry. The Blackberry juice made an appearance in the middle, but was as fleeting as a ghost, and was non-existing on dry down. It does last a very long time, but only as a red hot buttery candy scent. I am hoping that if it ages a little the Pumpkin will take over and tame the red hots and by the time cool weather comes around I can actually wear it as a Pumpkin scent. If it is still the buttery scent, I may mix it with the Pumpkin Latte Oil and see what I come up with.

This is the first bottle that I ordered in the Halloween update and I was so excited to receive it. It is very strong but it is tempered by the honey and it is one that does last all day. I found that a little bit goes a long way. Brand new the red musk does smell "young" but I believe that in a year it is going to be really fabulous! I am going to purchase another bottle to age and see if I am correct in my assumption.

In the bottle all I could smell was cherry and the amaretto. I must admit that I love the smell of cherry but I don't know if I wanted to smell like a tropical drink or a sweet cookie. I tried it on in the hopes that once it mingled with my skin it would morph into something more. The first thing I noticed after I applied it was that I smelled like a candy tootsie pop. It was cherry and caramel and not much else, and that was pretty strong. Ten minutes later though it started to mellow and the coconut came out and decided to play nice with the cherry and amaretto and softened to a delightful summer scent. This turned out to be a very light, soft, and not overly sweet scent.

When I first applied this, it was overwhelmingly tobacco-very strong with the frankincense coming in a close second. The frankincense starts out pretty strong on me but mellows almost immediately into a much softer musky dried incense scent. Over the course of half an hour, the tobacco and frankincense meld together perfectly, soften and join with the wood and bunn and turn slightly sweet on me. I am pleasantly surprised with this scent and out of the few I have purchased so far, it is my favorite.

Ghoul Hooligan smells like dry cocoa powder and raw pumpkin and spices. I don't like the wet stage but it does dry down rather well on me. It isn't an overwhelmingly chocolate scent, really spicy or foody. There is a touch of musk that lingers on dry down with the spices and soft cocoa and makes this all work together nicely. A lovely scent.

In the bottle this has a very light touch-I do smell the white wine spritzer. That all disappears though when I applied to to my wrist. It did turn into a boozy smell, almost with a yeast smell to it after 30 minutes or so. Some spices came out too, I'm not sure it it is my skin chemistry or Mountain of Bone, but I like what it turns into, not what it was when I first tried it. I also can detect a woodsy note to it too with a very light floral (not too much-just right). This really is a beautiful scent that I believe will be very popular.

Rich, sweet, Moroccan coffee!

I love this spray and believe it to be my favorite spray of all time! It is very spicy, and I smell no latex in it at all with just a hint of red wine. The only set back I see is that I only have one bottle and it is an LE.

In the bottle I could definitely smell the machine oil, but not in a bad way at all. On me, it smells like a suede/raw soft leather and a man musk-this is a gorgeous scent and very me. I don't notice too much tobacco just an impression of light smokiness. After half an hour or so the machine oil peeks out and plays around with the other notes, but doesn't stay for long. This is a sexy scent and reminds of a mechanic who just crawled out from under the car covered in car juice, radiating musky sweat, with the sun's heat amplifying the smell of the cars leather interior.

Geek is light, sweet, lemony (on my skin) and seems perfect for Spring and Summer. It does have an effervescent quality to it but doesn't seem to last quite as long as other oils I have tried. Very refreshing though.

This is a soft sweet peach scent with the vanilla amber making itself known right away. I love vetiver but I really don't detect much of that at all, I think in this case it is used to sweeten and soften the oil and bring out the scents of the other notes. It has a dry resiny presence that I really enjoy. After wearing it since Bat's Day yesterday, I could still smell a trace of it this morning. The Prototype is much stronger and sharper but I think I much prefer the final version that I purchased.

This smells very light and softly sweet in the bottle. On the skin it smells medicinal. On drydown it is beautifull spicy and sweet. The cinnamon is not strong and blends well with the creaminess of this oil. I'm glad I picked up two bottles.

Honey notes don't always work on me. I love Snake Oil so I thought I would give this a try. I just ordered 2 more bottles.
