    Undertow

I've gradually worked my way through pretty much the entire GC, and am now down to trying things basically just to say I have tried everything (gotta catch 'em all! Lol) I am not expecting to like this, but still always excited to try something new. Wet: I was expecting an aquatic, but this has so much juniper in it, it smells more like gin than anything! Though it's gradually growing more herbal, less alcoholic. It's fairly pleasant, actually. I can't see wearing it, but I am enjoying the scent of it. Very outdoorsy now, as it dries. Growing up, we had a juniper...bush....tree...thing? Anyway, this reminds me of that part of our yard (which was lovely and shady) on a hot summer day. Dry: This isn't at all what I expected, it's not "watery" whatsoever. It's pretty much sweet sticky juniper on me, brightened by a bit of something citrusy. Nice! Not really me, but nice.

    The Phantom Wooer

I'm pretty sure I have tried this before, but somehow missed reviewing it? Or I'm crazy. Either way. Wet; A soapy, slightly zingy (almost gingery?) floral. I actually quite like it. I have grown away from what I consider to be "white florals", I seem to reach more for the darker florals now, but this is really lovely. Oh. Now it smells like wet cardboard. *sigh*. Thank you for that, lily. Dry: The lily subsides, and this becomes a light, spicy floral again. Still a bit soapy, but more in a pleasant, clean way than anything else. This is really quite pretty, and somewhat classic, but in a way that I think some people would class as "old lady". I like it. Likely don't need a bottle, but I like it.

    Wensleydale

Wet: As advertised, a fresh, clean smell. There's something a bit breezy and outdoorsy about it too - like fresh cut grass, but not quite. I like it a lot. It's less sweet than Boober, I think. Different enough that I feel I have room in my collection for both. Dry: Yes, this is lovely if you like clean scents (which I never did before, but have a new appreciation for them). This is clean without being aquatic, which I love, as classic aquatics are rather headache inducing on me. Smells a bit like fresh laundry on the clothes line, in the best way possible. Will get a bottle eventually.

    Megaera

Orris typically ruins everything, but I love amber and plum, so here's hoping! Wet: Powdery orris and fruit. It's actually not as awful as orris usually is on me! But I don't love it either. Dry: Violets - candied artificial smelling violets. That's what orris does on my skin, and the plum is making it worse. Blech, not for me!

    Mania

Wet: Red musk, strawberry gum, and plastic. Not what I was expecting? I adore musk, but this is very artificial smelling, way sweeter and fruitier than I was expecting. This smells like strawberry candy rather than strawberry leaf. It's pretty terrible on me. Dry: This dries down to something absolutely lovely. Red musk, with a hint of white musk peeking through, and some delicate sweet fruitiness. It reminds me of other fruit/red musk combos like Hollywood Babylon and Delight in Disorder. I already have Delight in Disorder, so I may not get a bottle of this right away, but it's for sure bottle worthy. I really like it.

    Old Scratch

All lavender on me, which I am totally OK with. I wear it for bedtime a lot, and use it in my diffuser as well.

    A Breathless Chuckle

Wet: I was hoping for marshmallow. But instead I get what ever Beaver Moon turned to on my skin - graham cracker crust single note. Why??? There's also a faint undertone of mildew on me. Stellar. Dry: Graham cracker crust scattered with bits of waxy chocolate, melted plastic, and mildew. Mmm. This is an utter skin fail on me.

    Ill-Mannered Dragon

Wet: Spicy/floral DBR and sharp, bitter neroli. Sweetness and creaminess from vanilla and coconut, but they're not identifiable really as notes. I don't dislike it, but I am not loving it either. Dry: Quite pleasant, actually. The DB dries down really incensey, which I quite enjoy, though I don't know it would be something I would wear. I wish I had been able to smell the coconut!

    Patientia Bath Oil

(Used as a moisturizer) Desert herbs, and warm sands...not what I expected! Driftwood and blazing heat....this is such a warm scent, and so incredibly pleasant. Love it way more than expected, and currently wishing for a perfume in the same scent. Why are more people not raving about this! It's gorgeous! It's one of those "I could happily smell like this every day" kind of scents. I love it, and am challenged to pick out a single note it's so well blended. Beautiful! Will buy more when I use this up.

    Morocco Bath Oil

I love Morocco everything. There is something so comforting about the scent to me. It's frequently my "I don't know what I want to wear so I will just slather in all the Morocco things and be happy" scent. I have it in perfume and HG as well, and enjoy being surrounded in a Morocco scented cloud. Gorgeous. There's a reason it's a BPAL classic.

    Shanghai bath oil

Sometimes I like things in bath oil format that don't work as perfume. I think this is one of those cases. This smells fresh and clean and citrusy, and I feel like I could use it as a moisturizer before work without getting yelled at my the scent police. Very mild, totally inoffensive, and pleasantly clean smelling.

    Revenant Rhythm Bath Oil

I ADORE everything Revenant Rhythm/Banshee Beat (the two are indistinguishable on me). My favourite patchouli scent of all time. Mixed with the really sweet vanilla, it's just perfect. Smells like sex.

    Snake Oil Bath Oil

Gorgeous! I typically only like aged Snake Oil, but in the bath oil it's amazing right out of the Post. Maybe this batch was made a while ago and had time to age? Maybe it's made using Snake Oil that was made a while ago? Whatever the reason, I am glad, because I love it. I love slathering in it, with Snake Oil and Snake Oil HG, and being surrounded in a cloud of heavenly scent. <3

    Diabolical Offspring

Wet: Light, powdery and clean. More like expensive talc than baby powder, on me. I quite enjoy it! So far it's just about the perfect "skin scent". It smells mostly like "I just had a shower". It's very light and totally inoffensive. Dry: Light, slightly sweet, slightly powdery. There is a note in this that reminds me of Eden v7 - it's slightly green yet creamy at the same time? And very hard to describe. Anyway, I do like it, but I don't love it, and I have other light clean scents I can wear to work that I like better, I think.

    Maud Ruthyn

I love both wheat and honey, so I have been wanting to try this for a while. Wet: Light, sweet, fresh. Lightly perfumey, very pretty. This smells much cleaner than I ever imagined! It's beautiful. Quite classic. Dry: This is a beautiful citrusy floral, quite classic and perfumey. It's lovely, but I am not sure how much I would reach for it, as this type of scent is not generally my thing. I wish there was more wheat and honey. Still very glad I got to try it!

    Honey Hair Gloss

So, I somehow never bothered to try this before, because I am so in love with Hair Loosened and Soiled and White Bees Swarming HGs that I thought I didn't need more honey HG. I was wrong, because this honey note is so totally different. It's very perfumey and floral (in a wonderful way) and actually reminds me almost more of beeswax (which I adore) than honey. I LOVE this. Happy it's GC.

    Bloodlust

Wet: VETIVER!! Like, angry vetiver. And some deep dark musk - not the lab's typical sexy red musk note at all. The patchouli is dry and earthy rather than gnarly. This is an angry scent. Deep deep maroon in colour, both in the vial, and the image I get in my head when I sniff it. Dry: Angry red musk and vetiver. Usually my skin eats vetiver, so for there to be any left there must be A LOT in there. The musk is more of a blood musk than red musk on me. Overall, this scent smells sinister and menacing, and it a cool atmospheric scent, but not something I want to wear.

    Arkham

Wet: Trees, yes, but more flowers and citrus than I expected! It's actually quite bright and pretty. Dry: This gets almost candy sweet on me - verging on sickly. I think that's the violet, which I had failed to notice in the note list previously. Not for me!

    Odin

Wet: Wow, those are some powerfully manly herbs! I don't know how else to describe it. Warm, almost-but-not-quite woody? Sort of earthy, but not in the way that it smells like earth. Ugh, I am failing at describing this. It's different than most things I have smelled. It smells like...nature. Manly nature. And animal musk (in a nice way!). That's all I've got. Dry: Still difficult to describe. In the same vein as Coyote, maybe? Warm, musky, sort of woodsy (but not quite like wood, exactly). It's very BROWN. That's the best way I can describe it, it's a warm, brown scent. I like it! Not sure I would ever wear it, so I will pass this imp on to the next person, but I am glad I tried it. This would be an awesome room scent, and great on a guy also.

    Bast

This has settled for a good long while. Wet: Honey and cardamom, oh yum! So good. Was worried either cacao or Myrrh would dominate, but I can't smell either. Hoping this isn't a batch variation - I can only see the faintest bit of chocolate sludge in my bottle. The scent is almost all smooth honey and cardamom - rich, and a bit perfumey. Lovely! Dry: Honey - dry and perfumey, rather than rich and sticky. Cardamom, and just a hint of amber which both lend to the perfumey character and keep this from being even remotely gourmand on me. I don't really get the other notes, which I am totally OK with. This is gorgeous - back-up bottle worthy. Can't wait to see how it ages.

    The Small Brown Cat

I have let this settle for quite some time now before even testing, because I know cedar is not great on me when fresh. I imagine this will need at least a year to age before it has a chance of being really good on me, but I want to at least try it somewhat fresh! Wet: Sweetness and cedar. It's actually gorgeous. It does need quite a bit more age to round out the cedar, but it's going to be amazing. It actually reminds me of The Cat from Coraline, which I also love. Mmm, when I sniff deeply the cardamom comes through, and hints of a warm musk. Lovely! Dry: So very lovely. Those who love sweet, smooth, woody scents like The Cat and Tombstone would love this. Cardamom and cedar stand out most, and the vanilla is rich and syrupy, almost reminding me of honey. Gorgeous. So glad I blind-bottled this. It's going to age so well!

White Tea and Sage Hair Gloss

Fresh, clean - a bit sharp and astringent though. I quite like it. I get no sage, all white tea. I was looking for something really clean smelling for work, and I think this'll do nicely.

    Juniper Mint Hair Gloss

This somehow doesn't really smell like juniper or mint to me...but it does smell fresh and clean, soapy, but in a good way. Like an expensive salon shampoo. I like it way more than I thought I would! So clean smelling.

    Gula Bath Oil

This is so yummy. Freshly applied (used as moisturizer) is smells like someone melted down an entire chocolate/candy store and poured it in the bottle. This is not a bad thing. It almost feels sticky, but I know that's just in my head. Once it sinks into my skin, the scent is much lighter but still really yummy. I wear Wulric to bed a lot, and I like using bath oils to moisturize before bed. Tonight I have paired my Wulric with this, and as I lie in bed, struggling to keep my eyes open long enough to review this, I am certain this will be a popular combo. Its like a relaxing chocolate hug.
