Wet: Jasmine! Oh no. Dry: Some lemon comes out and the Jasmine dies down, but still not to my taste.

2014 In the bottle: CAKE! Yay! Wet: Peanut butter??? And herbs. So weird. Dry: There's for sure a bit of cake in there, but mostly sweet incense. It's lovely. Not foodie at all. I think I'll get a lot of wear out of this this fall.

Wet: Soap. Plain white bar soap. Dry: This teetered on the edge of awesome, but just never quite got there. The rose went a wee bit powdery. I wish I could smell more the sandalwood.
-
Wet: Candy! Holy. Like, some pretty serious, sugar-high inducing candy. Dry: Briefly apple. Unfortunately I didn't get any wood or other notes I could identify as birch. Then it was gone completely. This is the second Bpal apple I've tested, and they've both disappeared in minutes.

Wet: Suggary sugar! Dry: That darn dusty note comes out. That happens sometimes on my skin with certain sweet scents. Boo! Wanted to like this.
-
Wet: Wood - something quite similar to cedar Dry: Beautiful. Somehow the wood and fig come across as cocoa. This is lovely. I need a bottle! Not as figgy as I hoped, but gorgeous nonetheless.

The label art on A Blade of Grass makes me want to go find a bottle right now.... nathanielhebert - The lab should hire you for photo shoots!! Your pics are GORGEOUS!

Grapefruit is always iffy on me, but I love lemongrass so I waffled, but finally decided to try this. Wet: Bright citrus, almost more orange or mandarin then lemon and grapefruit. Dry: Lemongrass! Just as I'd hoped. Beautiful. No evil grapefruit, and just a hint of lemon. This shall be added to my list of "buy a bottle before next Spring/Summer". Lovely.

Wet: Tea with milk. And kind of buttery. huh? This is supposed to be Pear and Champagne! Dry: I can for sure smell the pear now, but the main note is butter. Weird. Glad I retested this, as it was on my "Potential bottles to buy" list. Not so much!

Man! If I had realized this was discontinued I wouldn't have tried it. It's really lovely, apple and rose. I will swap the imp so I don't get attached. So pretty!

LOVE Elegba. Beautiful smoky coconut. This is a less complex version of Red Lantern. Not as good, but still good!
-
Wet: Sweet overpowering rose. Dry: Soapy rose and cinnamon. Interesting, but there are other rose blends I love more. Though something about this makes me keep sniffing and sniffing at my arm where I tested...if I'm not careful, before I know it I'll be ordering a bottle....

Wet: Sharp, bitter and celery?? Dry: Not as interesting as I had hoped. Just rose. Soapy rose. There are other rose blends which I like much better, so this one will get swapped.
-
Wet: Sweet an spicy and lily Dry: This is lovely. I like lily, but only when it's not too sweet or in your face. I think the ginger in this rounds it out nicely. I think I will keep the imp and re-test in the winter to see if I need a bottle for spring (this is such a Spring sent to me).

I tested Crib Girls today. Wet it was truly terrible - Honey Lemon cough drops. But dry, it was beautiful complex honey. The first honey blend from the lab that I am able to wear. Yay!! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a honey blend.
-
Wet: Briefly very herbal before the rose emerges Dry: A beautifully balanced rose. I get just the faintest hint of coconut. This is truly lovely. Something about it reminds me of my family cottage, as a child. Which is a priceless memory, and I may need a bottle for that reason alone.

Wet: It almost smelled like there was patchouli in there for a second! Reminded me of Depraved, but that quickly faded (maybe the heliotrope? I don't know what that smells like. The amber takes over quickly, as my skin amps it. Dry: Sweet amber with hints of vanilla. Unfortunately I don't get much of the peach blossom. But I do really like it! Might need a bottle. This is the first amber blend I've tried that hasn't been completely overwhelming.

Wet: Honey lemon cough drops. Dry: thank goodness the citrus all but disappears, but it sure takes it's time! Eventually though, this turns into something I really like.

wet: immediately super sweet. Smells almost exactly like Sugar Cookie on me. Sugar Cookie was a fail for me. This goes dry and dusty almost immediately, as some creamy foodie scents do on me. Too bad. dry: yep, dusty and weird. I do think I want to try the soap from the Trading Post though.

Wet. Mmmmmmm. Warm sweet spiciness. Hard to pick out individual notes. But good. Dry. Still mmmmm. Ya. I need to get me more of this. Hard to review though. Sweet and spicy, but I'm struggling to be more specific. Either way, right up my alley.

2009 Wet - Gross. Utterly. I can't pick out any of the listed notes. It smells vaguely of garbage and Jasmine. And Jasmine and I are not friends. Dry - Gorgeous. I don't get it. There's a faint apple scent. Some smoky incense, and just a hint of floral. Huh.

Wet - Sweet pink rose. Pretty. Dry it stays true without going powdery or "soapy". Not much throw though. But I do like it.

Wet this is pure Granny Smith apple. If I sniff real hard I can pick up something slightly sweeter and herbal underneath. dry this is pretty much gone. Within minutes. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

I received this as a lovely frimp from a wonderful generous forumite. Unfortunately, it did not work at all for me - I think the orchid was the culprit. So I shall PIF and hope it suits the next person better!

I had totally forgotten I had this imp tucked away for "re-testing" Wet, it's sweet creamy vanilla, with just a hint of nuttiness. Dry, it gets that "sour milk" smell that some creamy Bpal scents get on me. Swap! (Actually I am somewhat relieved I did not fall madly in love with it and then have to try to track more down....)
