I have this bottle of French Love that is positvely ancient. When I first opened Unheavenly City and sniffed, I immediately thought of it. I swear, to my nose, they are almost the same.. On the skin, I definately get a squishy floral - which I assume is the gardenia.. on top of French Love. Heh. Maybe I'm just strange?

At first, when this is wet, its all scary sweet caramel. Then it starts to dry and becomes an apple blossom slap on the face, with a tiny drizzle of caramel.. I can hardly catch the teak, amber, or honey.. Finally after a while, everything sort of comes out and mingles. I can't tell if I'm just sniffing too hard, or if its really calmed down (you know when you smell something too much, and you lose the scent altogether). Its pretty though. Ooo.. And its fun! I actually really like layering it with other scents.

Mmm.. this is sexy. You know, I didn't think of Smut or Snake Charmer at all. On me, Marianne is a lot like Midnight Kiss.. which is one of my favourites. Darker, and more vicious, but in the same family methinks. I bet it will age really nice.

I'll admit, Underpants is my fav BPAL. I hate loving something so rare, but its soooo goood. The vanilla cream is sweet and pretty, while the sandalwood gives it depth. It goes very woody for a few minutes when it dries, but I love it so much I don't mind. The only thing I dislike about the Underpants is the price I have to pay to get more.. Sadly, I can't seem to get enough of it.
