The Sea of Vapors: white sandalwood, smoky oudh, golden amber, bourbon vanilla, and black jasmine. Gorgeous! I love when Jasmine and Sandalwood mix, it's just a perfect scent combo for me. The Jasmine is strong in this (on me but my skin does amp up Jasmine in a good way) and the Bourbon Vanilla is just so faint it's almost haunting in the backdrop.

Salt-tears and dew drops drizzling onto oudh-limned white gardenia. I smell nothing but what I assume to be Oudh. It's woody smelling and I guess salty? But basically I hate it. Such a bummer I don't get any gardenia it just smells like icky wood. My partner likes it for his hair so it's not a total loss but. I'm pretty bad at describing this I guess because it just smells very unpleasant to me will be able to capture the notes better if they get this !

On Christmas Eve, French children leave shoes filled with carrots by their fireplaces as a treat for Gui, Père Noëls donkey. If the child has been good, Père Noël takes Guis offering and fills the childs shoes with sweet fruits, candies, and small toys. Bright Sicilian oranges and sweet tangerines with a clink of lavender candy and a drop of anise. I wanted to cry when I put this on. It reminded me of growing up in Italy, and the Christmas holiday. Captured perfectly. Have you ever had those anise cookies from an Italian bakery? That's what the anise note is like in this one, and the orange is distinctly Sicilian I don't know HOW they captured this so perfectly but they did. I'm not a huge citrus scent based fan but this one, wrapped my heart up in magic and took me back to being a child at Christmas time.

I have been trying to track this one down for a long time. Orange blossom is so special to me, having given birth to my kiddo in California. It's so beautiful it reminds me of all the warm spring days spent in Disney, the honey goes a bit weird on me as honey can depending on the blend but the orange blossom is strong enough to keep it in check. Really nostalgic scent for me I love it.

So odd! I wanted to LOVE this because Rose can be either hit or miss on me. In the decant I could smell the rose it's my first go round with tobacco though. Instantly the rose vanished and I was left with this odd sugary smell. My son said it smelled like pancake syrup and yeah...so odd.

I love this so much. My friend got it for me as a gift as I am a huge fan of Nightbreed. It smells like fresh dirt, and incense. I do smell the blood scent kind of tangy and metallic but it fades it's not scary it truly truly captures the story, and Midian to me. There are a few scents that are just perfect in description and execution and this is one of them. I truly imagine this is what Midian would smell like. Love it.

Wow wow woooie. So I should start to say I am not a fan of Dorian. I know, I know. (Well maybe I am?). In the bottle all I could smell was that lavender I love so much and Dorian. Put on my skin the Dorian and lavender was such a beautiful blend together and then it got super sweet (not cloying just lovely) I had forgotten about the vanilla note until I looked it up and thought possibly it was cotton candy? But that might just be how the Dorian mixes with the vanilla and 'snow' on my skin. I LOVE this one. Initially my son had asked for all the scents Ted came up with but I'm testing them first. I think this will be great on him but I'm going to be snatching it a lot.

Oh my stars and garters I LOVE this. I amp lavender so in the bottle and at first all I could smell was the lavender but it wasn't as sharp as usual, about ten seconds on my skin and the Amber peeked out. I went wild as it started to dry. Such a perfect combo of two of my favorite notes. I wish this is what Thomas Sharpe had smelled like on me. I can't wait for the Amber to age. It's gorgeous and the Amber does not go to powder as it sometimes can. Simply adore this one.

Départ Pour Le Sabbat (Aufbruch Zum Hexensabbat)

I often wonder if I got a mispoured bottle because I get nothing creamy or sweet or even patch from this one. It smells like dead leaves on me and something kinda floral. I had my roommate smell it too and told her what was in it and she said "I don't smell ANY of that" it's gorgeous but I think I seriously don't have what is labeled.- 37 replies

Vanilla notes on me can be iffy. In TKO it's plastic. In Snake Oil I don't smell it at all. In Edith it was just too---brown sugar vanilla on my skin. But I love the smell of Vanilla so I tried it. Right off in the bottle it wasn't very strong smelling and it instantly went very powdery on me. I was super disappointed but someone else commented that it smelled great on me like candy. Then a weird thing happened about an hour into it, the vanilla came out very strong. It was really lovely and just a nice close to the skin vanilla. I have to say my nose REALLY detects a hint of anise in this----which could maybe be tonka? I'm not a perfect sniffer but it might be back up worthy for sleeping and layering as vanilla is a really calming scent. I don't get a lot of throw from it but am excited to put her under some of my favs and see what happens!

Okay. This is the weirdest description I'm probably ever going to give but I love this scent. It's very woodsy and boozy to me. Also on my body chemistry it smells like sexy man sweat. I described it to my friend as if "Ian" had gone for a drunk run through the woods without his leather jacket. Maybe the smoke part is what's going 'man sweat' on me but it's in the BEST possible way. I feel like people are avoiding this one and I'm not sure what the turn off is? Vetiver? But it's really cool and unusual. Woodsy lovers would go nuts for this one though. I really like it. It lasted a very long time on my skin and not sure about the throw. I always shove my arm in peoples faces and ask them what they think.

I wish my nose could pick up on the more sophisticated things others have described. For me? It's just like the room has been filled with every lush red rose known to man. Very fairy tale esque to me, not somber or sad. I feel like Briar Rose, with the bushes grown in all around my bed (and also I am tired)

I must be the only one not getting the super floral from this! In the bottle it smells very clean as it does on the skin. The skin musk reminds me SO much of the one in Coraline Jones but a bit sweeter and sexier. I get a hint of floral but mostly just a gorgeous sexy skin musk. I love it. I just wish it were a bit sweeter? Like a sugared skin musk how they did The Twins in Carnival (Hope and Faith)

I just got this bottle from Etsy (I am trying so hard to get all the Nutcracker scents) and I think it's just lovely. In the bottle I could smell the honey very strong and wet I thought it was quite a gorgeous honey, and the mint really surprised me! But as it dries down it's a sweet close to the skin apple. I think this is a great one to wear around my little one, not too strong and just happy smelling. Also oddly perfect for this late spring weather.

Holy love! I never thought I'd be into something fruity but the cherry in this sings. Maybe because my bottle is aged a little, I don't get the wine much but wow it smells JUST like the fruit in the glass of Sangria after you have drank it. I might need to put a search out for a back up this is going to be on me ALL summer. Kinda like a Sangria Popsicle. So good!

The first thing I smelled in the bottle was honey. I know some people are saying beeswax but I think it's for sure a honey note. When I put it on at first it had that inscencey, snake oil kind of vibe but less spicy, just warm and sexy. I'm assuming that's the blood musk. I have had other red musks before but it's not the same, this is incredible. As it dries down I smell the musk and the poppies! Oh my god the poppies! The poppies and the musk are just out of this world and honey with this, makes in altogether one of the best blends I have smelled in a while. Thank you!- 14 replies

This is gorgeous and amazing! I love honey added into anything but pear can put me off? But this combo is amazing with only a few days left I am really considering a back up in case it does not come back next year. The throw is incredible. I forgot how thin the consistency of DB can be sometimes so I ended up with a lot more on me than I intended but I got SO many compliments today. Plus DB stuff always gets better with age. I'm so glad I got this one. Beautiful blend. Also it's lasting forever with a lingering strong incense note that DB does to me.

Oooh boy. I love patchouli and benzoin. This is a very deep dark sexy scent. I amp patchouli which I don't mind. I don't get any sweetness from vanilla but just a hint of fig for juiciness. It's a bit spicy. A very 'dark' scent to me, but super sexy. Very strong throw on this one too.

Oh my gosh! So the lab sent me 4 imps of this in my order. Sad to see it's discontinued because it's the ONE oil that my partner has been willing to put on and it's amazing on him. He said he smelled cherries but I think that's the vetiver and the cinnamon. It's earthy, sweet and spicy. Very sexy. I quite love it!

In the decant it smelled like suntan lotion to me. Coconut and pear. When it hit my skin it smelled like....pear booze? I don't get any honey or leather in this. It's odd. I like it, but I wouldn't want a whole bottle of it. I'm not sure what's in it that is making it smell boozy to me but it smells sort of like a pear went on a vacation somewhere warm for the holidays and got drunk. Very fruity/boozy on me.

Awful. I love boozy scents but this smells like a nightmare I had to wash it right off. Made me feel sick but if you want to smell like vodka and gin....

I love Coraline and I am a big lover of all of the scents. For me the firs thing I smelled when I put it on was the anise, which I was so excited about. But quickly all I can smell after is Myrrh. But it's spicy on me. Sadly I smell no butterscotch at all, and the anise ( I love this) is only a whisper. Not sure if this has changed over time and aging as I don't know how old the bottle is, I got it from someone else. I'll probably test it another time or maybe mix it with something sweeter to see if I can get to love it like I want to. The artwork on the bottle is amazing I have to say that much too. I love Myrrh a lot of my scents have that note in it, but I feel like that's all I can smell in this one the 'dirt' I was hoping for a mix with the candy.

How strange! Body chemistry is a fascinating thing. In the imp when I got it, I smelled it and it smelled of sweet buttered toast. I was so amazed at how appealing this was. I waited to try it as a bedtime scent after bath last night. I have read people saying it was strong but my skin drank it up and I couldn't smell it again after like half an hour it was faded to fade. I can't even really describe what I was smelling as it just seemed to drink up and vanish fast. I'll be sending this along as a frimp in hopes it works for someone else.

Apparently benzoin is my catnip. I honestly cannot tell what is in this other than to me, on a day where I am extremely anxious Kit is my comfort. I got an imp gifted to me of him which I believe was aged a bit more than the bottle I have now. It's deep, creamy and a different kind of leather than Ian. Where Ian smells like a leather jacket to me, Kit smells like I've walked into the past and am wearing something soft and had spent the night in a room with wood. I'm bad at this I know but I love kit. Sandalwood, check. Benzoin (I have no idea what this smells like but EVERY scent that I have with it in I go crazy for) check. Perfectly nailing the character from the film? Check. What I most want to say is he's warm and comforting. If you're having a stressful day or have anxiety try and give him a hug.

I just got this and maybe it needs to settle but I'm not really getting any sugar. Mind you I love the chocolate scent but to me it smells of a chocolate orange that I'd get in my stocking at Christmas. Not very sugary, like dark chocolate and maybe some spice too. Even though it doesn't say there's a citrus note, I smell it on me and oddly at a distance it smells yeah like a dark chocolate orange. Interested to see how it ages. EDIT; And I have just experienced the magic of 13 I am sure. It changed and turned into the sweetest vanilla honey EVER. This is amazing once the citrus note fades out!
