    Irish Coffee Cake

Yummy boozy spiciness at first, then after 20 minutes it goes straight to migraine-inducing powder on me. Whaaat! Bummed out.

    Eden

Fig, coconut, slightly other-fruity and sweet and not cloying (which sweets tend to do on me). At first I wondered if it'd be close to Horn of Plenty (which smells like a slightly fruity marzipan, mmmm!!), but in fact I think it's replaced HoP in that realm for me Eden is comforting, relaxed, and smells like lounging around in a lush jungle, picking fruits off trees and eating them in your birthday suit. I really like this one!

    Bliss

This smells like the corner of the brownie baking pan. Just a dash of that slightly overcooked crust that's crunchy and carmelized. Yum! Not much of a throw on me, but if I bring my arm close I can still smell it 2 hours later. I would imagine this is great to layer with other foodie-ish scents I'd try it with Pumpkin Lace!

    Snake Oil

This smells like a subdued O on me, even after two hours of applying. Parts of it almost smell berry-like, perhaps it's the vanilla with a certain spice (peppercorn? cardamom?). Kind of syrupy, but not cloyingly sweet, which is great because sweet amps on me like whoah. Mysterious indeed Throw is great! I'd take a bottle of this if I got the chance.

    Performance

I know this is an old post, but I love this idea and yay belly dance! Do you have a particular style that you coordinate with certain scent notes?

    Black Moths

I love this when it's wet! No but really, I get a complex scent of florals, plum, and musky, smoky wood and vetiver. Unfortunately on drydown it becomes a little powdery and almost pure dark smoke. It's almost too powerful, and I would rarely be able to wear it appropriately. I might sell this bottle. Bummed.

    Hal

My first thought was "this smells like walking into a Hot Topic from the late 90's". It's dark and deep and spicy! On me, I think it's a pretty masculine spice, but it seems to stay longer and is more prominent than blends like Morocco and Bastet. Not a keeper, but if I had an imp I'd enjoy it once in a while on cooler days

    Lullaby

Is that moonflower I smell? Nice! I recognize it from a Body Shop lotion I had ages ago but since stopped using because of allergies and checking it out on the Skin Deep scale. This definitely has moonflower prominent on my skin, and I smell some lavender, gardenia, and something else that makes it a bit powdery. I'm not sure what moss smells like in perfume form, but there's definitely something earthy there grounding the hypnotic whirlwind of flowers (Lady Lucille's doing? ). I have a teeny bit of a throw, which I'm glad isn't too much because I could see this smelling overwhelming.

    Pumpkin Lace

I always amp sweet notes, so I was pleased when I tested this the other day and found it was similar to Jack, but not as cloying on me. Loving the tobacco and boozyness to smooth out the saccharine qualities my chemistry loves to point out. The pumpkin does indeed smell creamy, and at times, I feel like I smell tin, like it's a boozy pumpkin pie, just out of the oven, sitting in its tin pan. It's warm, a little spicy and comforting. Perfect for the holidays. Just 20 minutes after putting this on, I have an intense throw to where coworkers can smell it from across the room. "It smells amazing in here, like Christmas!" I hope it lasts a while. Will update when I remember lol [update 4 hours later] the throw has definitely calmed but I catch whiffs of it here and there from my arms and collarbone. It's turned a little musky and smoky, and the sweetness is more subtle in the creamy pumpkin. I like!

The Cemetery, Many Years Ago Atmosphere Spray

Wish I could pick up on the stone and earth notes. To me, it is sweet and it reminds me a lot of Bon Vivant when sprayed on something. I will test it again when I have a chance to just spray it in the air of the room.

    Crimson Peak

This is my first official review too! I hope it's helpful and that I'm doing this right In the Bottle: Chilly, definitely earthy clay and dying/dead foliage in there! It reminds me of early winters in upstate New York where the dried leaves would pack together with mud and snow. Of course, that was over 15 years ago, but this is what I would imagine that would smell like. Fond memories of my Malamute and I in the back yard. On the skin: About the same, but there's something astringent about the tone at first. I like it! Nice throw, I can smell it on my wrists and collarbone without bringing either closer to my face (which would be tricky to do with a collarbone anyhow haha). Dry down: My skin keeps the clay earthiness with a little sharp tone left over. There's something a little sweet and musky that I can tell is rounding out the sharpness, but I've noticed that my skin loves to pop those sweet notes with BPAL in general. The sweet-musk is subtle enough that it melds together wonderfully. The throw isn't as wide, but I smell it once in a while without bringing it close. Especially when I get all warmed up - simple enough like running to the car to jump-start a coworker. A few hours later: The clay earthiness has died down a little bit. It's leaned into the semi-sharp, sweet and musky tones. Throw's radius has diminished, but it's subtle presence is enough for me. Still loving it. So glad I got a bottle yesterday at Dark Delicacies!
