Breezy sweet florals, soft incense, and a touch of coconut.

Deer Moon: Golden Tobacco and Beeswax
roseus replied to doomsday_disco's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
Thought this was going to be love at first sniff, but in the imp I get beeswax and something like furniture polish. On my skin it's more like leather, but the kind that goes very chemically and gives me a headache. I can smell a beautiful beeswax and tobacco combination underneath but this one is not meant to be alas! -
I'm getting the blond woods mentioned, but to me this is also very mossy. Mossy, salty, woody aquatic. Not what I was looking for in an aquatic HG unfortunately but not unpleasant!

Bright pithy citrus and sweet fruity red musk and wine. The musk goes very sweet on my skin and the citrus less bitter. Which unfortunately gives the effect of the fruit-scented erasers of my childhood.

Oh this is so beautiful. It's lush and green. Watery crisp cucumber, tomato leaf (to me it's more the leaf than the actual tomato), slightly bitter lettuce greens. It's smells like too-good-to-be-true abundance. I get just a bit of warm soil and patchouli underneath the greenness.

A beautiful smoky, rosy scent. The leather is soft on me and melds really well with the patchouli. It is all really well-blended. All of those base notes are making a complex but somehow singular note. The beeswax adds a glowing warmth. Rosy is the best way to describe this, the rose is present but it's not big and fresh and super floral. It's more like dried rose, soft and muted.

This one made me nervous in the imp. It's rich, almost heady dates and brown sugar. Sweet and toothsome. It smells delicious but date notes can go almost high pitched on me. It doesn't here, just rich chewy sweetness. However the almond sneaks up and does it's weird cherry syrup thing on me.

Deer Moon: Summer Fig and Wildflower Honey Hair Gloss
roseus replied to doomsday_disco's topic in Hair
This is a stunner! The fig is warm and earthy, and the honey has a light breezy quality to it and has a real indistinct floral quality about it. Fruity, floral, and just really pretty. A carefree summer scent.- 2 replies

Brighter and fresher than I anticipated, I do believe I detect grapefruit as well. It gives the impression of bright blue pools rather than deep murky waters. On my skin it gets a touch salty. There's a sort of mossy, clean vegetal thing happening as it dries down as well. Very pretty, it makes me think of be sun sparkling on water.

This is reminding me of another scent but I can't put my finger on it. I get mostly red musk and saffron on a base of smooth vanilla-tinged patchouli. Regal but in a comfortable way.

Well I can detect a beautiful mossy green scent, but unfortunately it is obscured by the pear which is going a bit wonky on my skin. Unfortunate as I had been mooning over this scent for some time!

Agreed this is sparkly (not like white musk or aldehyde but that rich cola-incense described much better by @feyofthefellwood). Rich but not weighty. Fans of ambergris/grey amber scents take notice! I think this will do a fine job of replacing my Hag Grey when it runs out.

This one is hard to sum up. It's like two scents, the curse separate from the castle. There's the luxurious warm woods and then a sort of sinister incense and whatever is in the stone accord comes off as cold and unsettling.

The rose and peony remind me a lot of De Vos' Unicorn. It is less sweet, especially once on the skin but still similar. The porcelain lends a cool sort of muskiness. Very pretty!
-
The honey dust is gorgeous and rich, caramel-like but not gooey. The oudh is smooth and not indolic, but providing a weighty balance to the sweetness. Smells expensive!
-
Glittering lemon blossom and white musk. Clean, fresh, citrusy but not full-on lemon peel. Very cheerful!
-
Warm and soft like candleglow. A round, gentle almost honey-like sweetness. Balsamic, almost woody at times. Something reminds me a bit of Little Wooden Doll. Absolutely lovely.

Slightly bitter, ashy cedar. Rugged, austere is a good word too. Agreed that it feels like a good DND scent

Sweet coconut cream. Get a little fluffier and airy on my skin.

Fresh on me this smells like applied pie. The bread note melds into the apple and smells like the crust. It is lightly spiced, lightly sweet, and utterly cozy. More bready and cinnamon-y as it dries. Makes me think of a fairy tale cottage.

Oooh will second the Green Tree Viper recommendation! This made me remember Alisz which, if you're into mint, is incredible! A lovely fluffy vanilla mint

Cockaigne (milk and honey, sweet cakes and wine) is one of my fave gourmands! I haven't tried it but I've seen good things about Cake Pop Wreath which is currently available if you don't mind a bit of lemon in your cake. The Lupers this year have quite a few foodie offerings, I really enjoyed Chestnut Vulva and found it to be like a nutty, cardamom and caramel pastry.
