This is low, murky musk and fir on me. A bit incensey. As it dries my skin turns the musky slightly sweaty-funky, it's only noticeable when up close and if I sniff deeply, and I wouldn't say it is necessarily off-putting.

Lots of sweet, fruity coconut at first. Like the way coconut oil sometimes smells a bit fruitier than like coconut milk. I think the white amber is adding to the sweetness, and I can start picking it out more as it dries. Fully dry I get a halo of frankincense around the coconut-amber, adding a bit of grounding resin-woodiness and checking the sweetness a bit. It's still sweet and coconutty, but much more balanced as it dries.

This is one I've had my eye on forever but couldn't see how the mint was going to work with the rich spiciness of Snake Oil - but it does! First on it is nearly all mint, there's a soft sweet mintiness as well as a bracing cool mint. There is a bit of green tea and the rich vanilla of SO just peaking out. As it settles it is less 'cold' minty, more fresh and green. The vanilla and spice just sort of grounds all the freshness. Vanilla mint tea.

Beautiful orange blossom note. It's heady and slightly bitter, and slightly fruitier than other orange blossom notes I checked it against (that don't have fruit notes in them, obv). So I want to say there might be a bit of an orange zest note in here because I don't generally find neroli fruity/citrusy (and I literally just learned neroli and orange blossom are *technically* different- but this has that bitter headiness I associate with neroli). Like it just has a hint of orange-ness that makes the blossom more identifiable but just could be something about this orange blossom/neroli note. Anyway this is definitely floral, and sort of sexy and beachy to me. Good throw but not overwhelming.

In the bottle I get spicy carnation overtop rich cream. It reminds me a bit of Maiko With Hair Unbound. On my skin it's more about the hay and carnation, spicy and golden and halo-y. The hazelnuts add a slightly sweet, low richness to the scent, slightly nutty without pulling it foody. Just very cozy. As it dries I can sort of pick out the amber specifically but it is more adding to the deep golden sweetness. The scent is really more spicy and earthy than sweet, it's sweet in the way of barley syrup or a really dark honey Vs granulated sugar - other things offset the sweetness. This makes me think of a hazy evening in late August, dry grass and the lingering heat of the day.

I think Elf from the RPG collection might be worth a shot- it has other elements like the honeycomb and florals but I think it just adds to the picture of a sun-dappled glen. I find it leafy and mossy, it has this crisp birch sap thing going on to my nose as well. An LE but Forest of the Empress might be worth keeping an eye out for, it has a very fresh conifer forest smell, like crushing the needles in your fingers.

This scent is so much fun! Bright, juicy, and sweet. Starts off with lots of bright guava and vanilla cream and the fig comes in as dries with a slightly earthier sweetness. This has huge throw on me but doesn't feel overwhelming.

This is absolutely gorgeous! I get the musk and beeswax first, followed by cooler evergreen notes. It's very well blended, the notes really meld into each other. Makes me think of crisp nights and the glow of candles.

This is initially very salty on me, almost too salty (and I love salty fragrances!). But it quickly quiets down. I get coconut and almond in almost equal measure, made hazy and beachy by skin musk and salt. The salt has a similar effect to White Honey, Lemon Peel, and Salt where it sort of roughs up the sweeter notes. Beachy and sexy. ETA: Hm when I went for a full wear of this I found that the salty notes really amped on me in a sort of unpleasant way. It was rather warm, but I've never had that with salt notes before. Will have to try again and see what happens.

Beautiful cool-toned vanilla and tea! I agree the 'chilled' aspect is subtle, not a super icy note just cool like the way Zorya P is. This is in the same family at Cat at the Table and Tea Leaves, Vanilla Bean, and Incense Smoke to me. I don't get any of the campfire smokiness of lapsang but maybe a tiny bit of soft incense smokiness as it dries down, but could be the benzoin and sandalwood.

A very soothing sandalwood scent, delicately spiced with cardamom and sage. They add a bit more warmth and interest without distracting from the soft, sweet sandalwood.

And Though They Are With You Yet They Belong Not To You

Beautiful soft fuzzy vanilla sandalwood. Lightly sweet, so gentle and comforting. -
Gorgeous musky honey! The honey is definitely light but still has that thick, heavy sweetness. I'm seeing the similarities to O, a bit lighter but definitely in the same family.

When I first tested this on the back of my hand it was fresh green and fiery, mostly bamboo, ti, cypress, and ginger. The teak and amber came out later. On my hair it is much woodier and richer, more about the teak and amber oud with a aura of fiery ginger and a hint of soft greeness around that.

Bright, tart, and fruity. The cedar provides a nice base but it's more about the fig on my skin. It's bright and summery and makes me think of being in a lush green park eating a gorgeous artisan picnic wearing a flowy linen sundress. Like it smells expensive but earthy and relaxed, you're at your rich friend's aunt's ancestral family villa in the Italian countryside.

In the imp I get a big hit of almond (the kind that sometimes goes cherryish on me) and coconut with a bit of heady jasmine in the mix. Wet it goes very sharp, something about the hinoki is not playing well with the almond on my skin. As it dries the almond takes over, sharp and more like cherry cough syrup than nutty. Eventually the cherry cough syrup vibe gives way to a nutty jasmine and coconut cream, but the wet stage is a bit much for me.

Snow Moon: Roasted Tea Leaf and Night-Blooming Jasmine
roseus replied to doomsday_disco's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
This jasmine is so beautiful, very smooth and sweet not at all indolic. It blends well with the tea note, definitely a green tea note. A very pretty jasmine tea scent. -
This is delicious! Smells like some sticky cardamom confection. The chestnut has its own earthy sweetness, the nuttiness helps ground the vanilla and caramel and I get tons of cardamom sprinkled over top. It's sweet but not cloyingly so. It is transporting me to deep winter, cozied up against the weather and eating something incredible.

This is all soft aquatic in the imp but I get a hit of grass on my skin. It settles to be dew-forward, soft brisk and silvery but I get crisp green grass underneath.

I initially get a bracing cologne, which softens a bit into the woods and patchouli as it dries. I'm getting quite a bit of bergamot I assume from the chypre, and just a hint of rosé in the background. Bright and elegant with a somewhat rugged undertone.

Beautiful blend of fresh rain and vanilla! A bit earthy from the moss, with a billowy warmth from the vanilla and silk notes. Clean but warm and cozy. Makes me think of sitting at a cottage window during a warm summer rain.

I totally agree this has a GC vibe to it, very classic BPAL. Velvety red rose and coconut are the standouts on me with spicy musk and heady magnolia trailing behind. The coconut makes this summery but not tropical. As it wears I get more tobacco, and after a few hours it fades to spicy slightly floral tobacco scent. I'm in love!

This is mostly lilac and light tobacco on me, with a hint of blackcurrant coming in as it wears. Delicate and very spring-like.

I get mostly a really sweet creamy coconut at first, with a sweet and slushy snow note building as it dries.
