Revenant Rhythm (bath oil or hair gloss- pick your poison) with Bulgarian Tobacco SN is one of my faves now that the weather is cooler.

2011 version. I definitely get a nice base of roasty coffee with lots of sweetened pumpkin. The spices take over in the wet stage but back down dry, giving a nice toasty feeling to the blend and keep it from being too sweet. Didn't think I would love this so much but I am happy I was frimped some and may have to snag a bottle this year!

Um.. I'm getting toothpaste. Like peppermint toothpaste. In the imp, wet, and dry. I don't know what is going on with my sniffer but apparently my guy's is broken too.

Been frimped this before not sure how I haven't reviewed this. In the imp this smells just like cocoa butter lotion. Which is a scent I love for sure. It's rich, and light on the cocoa. Dry it still smells like cocoa butter, but very refined. The sandalwood and myrrh add a nice warm and sophistication, with a nice sweetness from the cocoa and vanilla.

This is a smoky, mysterious scent. I think the tonka is giving the smoky vibe, because it reminds me vaguely of Perversion. But it's also very herbal. And while it is a smoky blend it does not read as dark or heavy to me.

This is all raw black leather and vetiver for me. Dark, smoky, and rough. I can see why people love it, but it is definitely not for me.

I get a sweet rose and sandalwood in the imp. The sandalwood is sweet and soft, not super dry or spicy. Wet: the rose gets stronger but also lighter? Like it's not a deep and heady rose, but it's not faint. Dry: Just left with the faintest bits of sandalwood and a sweet patchouli.

A spicy, gingery dirt. Foodie dirt? The ginger is the fresh kind to me, not like gingerbread. It's kind of sweet, maybe some vanilla? But there is definitely an earthy dirt quality. A very beautiful scent, but not hitting the spot for my personal tastes!

Melty vanilla ice cream! A beautiful, rich vanilla. Very buttery, and I get a beautiful touch of almond (but not reading cherry). It's very cozy. This is a really nice 'everyday' kind of vanilla.

In the imp and wet I get a blast of mint, pine, and a dead leaf scent. Makes me think of walking through a forest before the first snowfall. The mint and pine stays through dry, but it gets less mentholated and sweeter. It sort of reminds me of a soft, sweet eucalyptus.

All I get is very zingy citrus and orange blossom. It's a little too sharp on me to love, unfortunately.

This is a beautiful fresh coconut scent. Very sweet, not too creamy. Tropical, but not sunscreen-y. An absolutely perfect coconut!

For me this is mostly buttery cookies, with cream and tea playing a smaller part. I do get a good hit of that bergamot at the opening. Dry it smells like a tea-scented cookie rather than tea and cookies. It's a very nice and playful scent.

Smelled lovely in the bottle. Roasty coffee, boozy liqueur. But somehow it went very wrong on my skin. It was sweet in a sickly way, and my skin amped the booze too. I did get a little cinnamon, and it was a nice sweet cinnamon, but it wasn't pretty enough to save the scent on me unfortunately.

I'm not getting the clean vibe everyone else is getting. It doesn't smell dirty to me by any means. If my laundry smelled like this I wouldn't be upset at all. I just associate clean with more zingy or aquatic or soapy notes. Anyway, this is really musky in the bottle. Warm and a little sweet. Some dry sandalwood is there too. Wet it's very spicy sandalwood with vanilla and musk. Dry is very similar but the notes are more proportional. It's toasty, and very comforting.

I am also reminded of nag champa, not identical but definitely in the same scent family. This is a very regal incense to me. The musks are bold, warm, and a little sweet. The sandalwood and oudh at the base have a beautiful depth. There is something spicy and floral here, but it blends really well with the other notes. The orris is present, and while I don't really care for it (it smells musty-sweet to me in a weird way) it actually smells pretty pleasant to me here. However, I would be head over heels for this scent if orris wasn't in it.

Generally I have no interest in smelling like strawberry, I usually find it too sweet and candy-like or too juicy. This one opens nicely, not too strong but it is the most identifiable note for me when in the bottle or wet. Dry the strawberry fades into the rose and they land somewhere between fruity and floral. It's gorgeous. The woods are really light and this has an almost airy quality (fitting for cardinal air). I think it might be the mallow oud and the white musk. This is a very refined blend. It's sweet but in a very grown-up and womanly way. Everything blends together so seamlessly. Beth did this Libra very proud with this one.

When I sniffed this in the imp and on wet it smelled dry and clean. Like sandalwood and lavender, and there was some eucalyptus too. Dry it still smells the same, very clean, herbal and interesting. I could not have guessed the other notes except maybe oakmoss. It reads clean and masculine to me.

Bottled happiness. Helps reverse misfortune, brings light and laughter to even the most troubled and discordant place, and aids in alleviating the stress and discontent that accompanies so many of life's daily trials. I got strawberry bubblegum the whole way through. Bright, happy, and fun for sure but not my kind of scent!

This starts off as a very creamy Irish coffee. Very heavy on the cream, the coffee is soft and sweet. The oak gives a depth underneath, and there is a dusty quality to the scent. It all melds together quite nicely though and gives the overall impression of walking into an old university library.

I adore this! Exactly what my bedroom needs to smell like. It's warm and comforting but also a little sultry. The amber and vanilla silk are what I get the most of, especially when it's still fresh. I also get the heady champaca and neroli swirling around. As it settles I get more frankincense, which has a texture to my nose and smells bright (like citrus without being citrus?). It lingers beautifully.

The champagne note is the most noticeable for me. It's light, fizzy, and a little fruity. I do get some light, clean floral as well. Overall a very fresh scent and it's great for brightening up common spaces like the bathroom or the laundry room, but I prefer warmer scents for my bedroom.

I haven't but I'm going to start looking for it!

This isn't as chilly of a rose note to me as a Rose Red, but certainly is a fresh and pure red rose, with plenty of green. I wasn't sure how I would like rose as a room scent (though I adore it in perfume), but this is beautiful and not perfume-y. The green really balances it and puts in more in room scent territory rather than smelling like you sprayed everything with a floral perfume. It smells like a rose garden in your house!

I'm not new to BPAL but newish to the forum and LEs (was too scared to try most of them before I knew about decant circles!) I have found myself in a bit of a rut so I think it will be fun to try some recommendations based on things other than notes. Anyway here we go! My name is Hailey, I am a 21 year old linguistics student. I am absolutely fascinated with all aspects of language, and my dream job would to be working in language restoration somewhere cold (or Hawai'i ). I am an INFP. I can be very loud and bubbly, especially around people I am comfortable with but eventually mt social energy is drained and I need to retreat with a good book and a cup of tea to recharge. I am definitely feeling, I use my gut for making decisions most of the time, and emotions tend to be my biggest consideration for myself and other people. I can also tend to be swept up into emotions easily. I am excitable, quick to anger (but it does not last), easily infatuated, and I love intensely. I am a Libra sun/Aries moon/Libra rising. I am VERY indecisive. I would say weighing options constitutes a large portion of my day. A large part of my personality is humor. I love making people laugh, it's my go-to icebreaker and tool to bond with people. My favorite compliment is laughter or people telling me they think I'm funny. I love adventure. Hiking, exploring the outdoors, and travelling are among my favorite things to do. I have recently gotten into bouldering as well. I am a huge bookworm, my favorite book is Sweet Thursday by John Steinbeck and I have a tattoo of an octopus based off it. I also love to cook and bake. Cooking for friends and family is one of my favorite ways to share my love. I would describe my style generally as dark romantic. A lot of what I wear has Victorian touches. I also love contrasting things like textures and masculine and feminine elements. OH and I'm a Slytherin! Thanks for reading!
