This is one of my favorite summer scents now. I got a little mystery sniffie of it from ralenth and I fell in love and bought a bottle. It reminds me of Shanghai but much sharper and to me, more refreshing. The white tea is very crisp. The ginger is very fresh and has a lot of snap, and I would agree there must be some kind of sharp citrus in here but I can't put my finger on it. This has great throw on me, but in a bright and unobtrusive way.

Well it's sharp radishes and black dirt. There is something a little sweet, which might be the crystals? This was interesting and fun, but a little too earthy for my tastes!

While I get the date and herbs in the imp and on wet, this dries down to just a soft fig on me. Pretty and succulent, but not for me!

I found the blood orange to be very bitter and astringent at first. The raspberry comes in and sweetens and the neroli softens a bit. I think I could see myself using this in the summer months!

This is the first super red/fruity scent that I have had an intense affection for. The red musk is really intense in the decant/wet but settles in with all the juicy fruits. The patchouli leaf is very grounding but well blended into the other notes. It's velvety and sexy, almost boozy. Will need a bottle!

The patch is fairly smooth and soft, and the honey and vanilla make this pretty snuggly. I get just a touch of very soft cinnamon.

So I have realized that if there is more than five or six notes listed my brain gets confused and I have no idea what something will smell like. I think because opium smoke is listed first I thought this would be dark and incense-y. In the decant and on wet it's all pale lemon, almost candy-like at first. After awhile I get a touch of tuberose and other flowers underneath. Then coconut comes out too as well as the vanilla. I get just a whiff of opium. This is really summery and whimsical in a subdued way. Way brighter and softer than I had imagined.

In the decant: The almond is reading as a very sweet cherry Wet: Cherry syrup, but with a nuttiness underneath Dry: Soft almond cookie and incense. Comforting and beautiful. I love all of the Scalias

(2016) I get green leaves and sap, and just a light layer of dead leaves underneath. Wet there was just a hint of chill. There is also a fruit, maybe apple? Maybe pomegranate? This is definitely an early autumn scent for me.

In the imp: smells like a nice cup of spiced chai On wet: spice bomb. Super heated, mostly clove and cinnamon but also getting ginger Dry: the spices smooth out, still very present though, but over a nice base of skin musk and just barely sweetened by honey. This is everything I wanted it to be and will probably be a bottle!

This was very spicy-sweet in the imp and on wet in a way that I didn't like. Dry it's very dark and resinous, in a way that I'm certainly digging. It's very well blended, as the patchouli isn't super gritty or prominent (and as a patch lover that would not deter me anyway!). I get a little heat from the clove and just a little of the sexy floral thing ylang ylang does so well. I don't know if I need a bottle but I will definitely use the imp.

A warm, soft, sexual blend. Sweet and alluring. Used to entice new lovers and add an aura of temptation and carnal sin to your environment. Mostly dragon's blood on me, which goes little weird on me and is giving me a headache in this blend. Also getting some soft floral (lilac?) and cinnamon. This one is not doing it for me!

Champaca magnolia, bourbon vanilla, blonde tobacco, and white honey. The champaca starts off a little too sharp but warms up. Beautiful toasty tobacco surrounds it with a little honey and vanilla. The champaca stays a little on the sharp side but I think I like it!

In the bottle I get buttery sheep's milk at the front (it reminds me a lot of Giljagaur) with vanilla and honey. Sweet and smooth. On wet: Similar to in the bottle and the patchouli comes out and adds some texture and earthyness, but this isn't a super gritty and dirty patchouli. Definitely on the sweeter and more refined side of patchouli. Dry: Same as wet but with the oudh underneath everything. A very warm, creamy, and sweet but not in a cloying or foodie way scent. Comforting but also a touch sexy. Extremely well blended. I think I have a new favorite.

I'm getting a weird metallic smell, must be dragon's blood. Though I do get the jasmine around it. But together it's just very odd.

Fresh white musk, honeycomb, sweet apricot, elemi, orange blossom, and mischievous pink pepper. A nice soft, honey-sweet apricot. I get just little whiffs of warm musky-ness and orange blossom.

Wet this is astringent and extremely bitter. But dry the eucalyptus develops. I can also smell dirt, something dark and green, as well as a floral. Not my thing.

In the imp: Both dark and bright at the same time. A very zingy mint. I would swear I'm getting a touch of lime here. Wet: Spanish moss and mint Dry: A cologne-y base of moss and ambergris with the mint adding a freshness. A nice clean scent. Might keep it to slather on my man.

In the imp: cherry cough syrup Wet: Cherry syrup. Mostly lost that medicinal, astringent quality. Smells like cherry fruit snacks now. Dry: A nice light cherry scent, sweetened by honey. Overall: a simple and sweet scent, but cherries are not my cup of tea.

In the imp: dry, herbal lavender Wet: smoky lavender, and pungent amber-like labdanum Dry: a thin core of lavender, with incense and a touch of tobacco, and some warmth from the labdanum. Overall light and smoky Overall: this is a really nice summer incense. Not sure if I need a bottle but will definitely use the imp.

This is interesting, the chapapote/tar note made me a little nervous honestly. In the imp: Smoky cacao. The cacao also does separate some so I rolled it a bit and made sure to get a nice streak of it on the wand with the rest of the oil. Wet: This oil is thick and stained my skin. But the cacao is dark and rich, with a smoky note I would swear is vetiver. Also getting some rich honey underneath it all. Dry: A couple hours later and the oil still has not sunk completely into my skin. Mostly the smoky, gritty cacoa sweetened by honey with a little cotton blossom wafting over the top. I also get a starchy/earthy note that I attribute to maize. Overall: I love chocolate scents, and I'm loving a lot of these darker scents more and more. While I really like it, I'm not sure how often I will wear it.

Wispy church incense and lily. Very tranquil, and reminds me of ancient, cold stone churches in Europe. Even though I'm a practicing Catholic, I'm not a fan of these church incense blends! Something about this combo on me is too gray and cold.

In the imp I mostly get honeysuckle, while on I get more rose and lily with it. There is also a dusting of cinnamon, the spicier kind. I'm not getting the green everyone is mentioning. It's sweet, gentle floral with a spicy kick for me. I really like it, further testing will see if it is bottle-worthy!

When the Lupers first hit this didn't grab my attention, but the reviews have been rather enticing so I went for it in a swap. At first I would think this would be a rich, heavy, warm scent more suited to cooler months, but while it is rich and warm it is certainly not heavy. The woods are smooth and warm, and a really light hand with the frank added a little bit of depth and texture. The honey is really light, which is fine by me since I have had some traumatic experiences with it. As others have mentioned I did find it a little sharp when wet. I am really excited to see how this ages! I find this really complimentary to the natural scent of skin, and will be good on the sweltering summer days you can't beat, as well as going into cool fall days.

I ordered this sight unsniffed because I loved Dirty and have put my faith in Beth for all things. In the bottle: All honey-sweet linden blossom Wet: Soapy suds, linden, and a bit of vanilla. Dry: clean linen, with a touch of linden and vanilla. Light and breezy. Overall love! I am a fan of clean scents but too often they are too artificial and chemical to the point of nausea, but BPAL's are divine! This is just the right amount of soap-y goodness and linen, with the sweetness of floral and vanilla to keeps things lively and fresh.
