About my soap making:
I make my own soap with shea and cocoa butters and raw silk. These have not been lab tested, as in the UK we are required to do so if we are selling, but i can add some samples as extras if interested. These were formulated by myself, as i could not find a satisfactory moisturising bar on the market. I'm not tooting my own trumpet (!) but these work for me and happy to share.
I have 145 cosmetic grade pigments, which i can send again, as extras. I use these to make my own cosmetics.

Last year, this was just cocoa and not a lot else. It did very little for me after 10 minutes. As others have mentioned, It just disappeared. Don't get me wrong, it was beautiful, but very short-lived. I decided to keep the full bottle to see how it would age, so I set it to work on its own and forgot about it. I tried it today, as I'm on a diet and seriously craving chocolate, so I went foraging for something to curb the cravings. I just bought a bottle of Boomslang from another member and although I have an original bottle too, even the richness of that wasn't enough. Even with the white musk and lavender, there is something undoubtedly 'edible' about this now and it definitely has better longevity. It's doing the trick! I'm not saying it lasts forever, or that it'll do wonders for your diet, but after an hour, it's still going strong. If you still own this and didn't give up, try it again. New puppy was causing chaos, so it's been two hours since I wrote the above. Still there, but fading. I'd say that's a massive improvement on the new bottle last year. Overall, Lurid Bonbon is still powdery cocoa, but more indulgent than I remember. The blackcurrant, white musk and lavender are so well blended, it's difficult for me to really pick out each of the notes. They are there and far more prominent than before, but so much better. I'm so pleased I held onto this.

This opens with very similar notes to Hypnotic Poison. To my nose, a whirling, syrupy concoction of vanilla, liqourice, musk and booze. While testing this, i haven't been feeling my best, due to food poisoning , so this could be better when i feel less queasy! My dad bought me poison two years ago, a few months before he died and i can't help but find an unhappy association with this. It was the last gift he gave me and i have never quite been able to find a positive moment while wearing it. Anyway, back to bpal! After about 15 minutes, i'm getting a caramel note that's coming through far stronger than any other. Thankfully, the liquorice has gone way into the background, with the boozy (rum?) note, leaving Dior in the distance and not even a hint of amber. I am left with more caramel, and now smoked bacon, but that's because my hairy man beast is cooking in the kitchen.... i shall return! This is almost edible now, since i amp vanilla to a ridiculous extent. Buttery vanilla caramel, coconut, and tobacco . Verdict: I can work with this and i'm delighted about that! This is my 5th attempt, as before it made me feel a bit worse for wear but it had nothing to do with the perfume itself. It's far more subtle than i initially thought it would be and for someone who has had a shaky history with caramel fragrances, i'm more than pleasantly surprised. Rating: 3.5/5

This is very similar to Lurid BonBon, but with a prominent gay note. The chocolate is string with this one!

Lush to BPAL scent comparisons (BNever included too)
DazyG replied to Vanilla's topic in Recommendations
I came here looking for a similar Bpal to Red Rice soap, though I know for damn sure I'll be about the only one looking for that, since it was discontinued in about 2002! It has great memories for me and I wish I could find something like it. The original Karma would be great too, but if Lush don't make it the same way they did, I doubt anyone else will. I've taken on some of the Potion (and rose jam) suggestions, since it's my favourite fragrance of theirs and having to wait for the kitchen to produce the lotion is a nightmare. I ran out of the liquid & solid perfume ages ago.
