Beeswax is the first thing that jumps out on me!! This reminds me of a Crimson peak scent but I don't remember which one. This is like sitting in a dark room, trying to read a book by candlelight, that keeps flickering due to a mysterious wind. The windows are closed... odd.. A very faint (purple, not red...! strangely) rose in the background. Interesting. Not for me, but it tells a story!

Fiiiinally got to try this after hoping to find a decant of it for years, weeee! Dusty chocolate... Smoky chocolate? It dries to a calmer, smoother chocolate, creamy and delicious... remind me not to eat my arm!

2005 Version. Whoa, on application this is pure bonfire smoke and cinnamon! It reminds me only a biiiiit of Krampus. This has more of a berry-freshness to it with that musk smoothening it out on drydown. The cinnamon nearly dies down alltogether, aw. Not getting much booze from this myself! :c

Oooh! so happy and summery! The hypercandysugarness similar to screeching parrot, but much more... pink! Sweet sticky marshmallows indeed with a tinge of grass in the far far background. So glad I got to try this!!

Well, that's great, my imp broke as I tried to take the handle out. That aside, when it did, I'm met with this ...musky plastic mixbag of fresh inanimate mess. Slightly floral or soapy.. but it's basically exactly what it says on the tin. How fun!

Lovely salty sea air jumping right outta the imp! That, and the green notes and violets is what I'm getting when wet. Goes more bitter on the skin, taking a more woodsy turn, and then ...it turns to hairspray? ¿POR QUÉ SKIN?
-
Minty, dark. Can pick each note apart individually with ease, which is fun! It's odd how these would work together but they do! This is not something I want to smell like, but it's very interesting!

Hm. I'm getting honey too... That, and REALLY strong embalming herbs. Bleh. Very loud on me, and it smells like nasty soap or what a clinic of sorts would smell like... Maybe I'm too harsh, but it's not for me.

I finally tracked a bottle down, and while I've never spent so much on bpal before, lemme tell ya that it's worth it. From the bottle to drydown, this is absolutely lovely. The fir is most appearant on first application but it's just-not strong enough for it to be irritating. It fades a bit almost instantly and It's almost a creamy mix of herbs. The same patchouli (are there more? idk) as in reptoid dominion that my skin wears so well, soft ginger and sexy green musk. It reminds me a bit of my favourite insence 'forest' by HEM, but this is more... human. All in all, loving this.

Oh Seth. How delighted I am I decided on a bottle of this handsome scaly dude! There's leather that BPAL does best, which is sexy as hell but there's also something oddly nostalgic in here, something reminding me of summer. Warm, spicy, something sliiightly herbal in there, which is a little sunscreen-y but nothing to worry about. This would work fantastisc for both fall and summer. All the notes are blended perfectly and there's not one that really stands out on me. I'm in love.

Oh my god. This is absolutely delicious when wet. Deliiicious realistic vanilla mint, something grounding it that reminds me of cocoa, delicious spun sugar, the frankincense as in Midnight over the midway and a soft rose. I'm afraid however that at the moment of drydown I'm stuck with the same problem as Lizziesluck. My skin isn't having it. There's still that wonderful mint but my skin is just turning the rest of the notes into burnt plastic and it's just... not good. A damn shame, hope this'll adorn someone else's skin much better because it'd be so worth it!! Gahh

In the imp, green, juicy, medicinal. Wet, this is very in your face, green!!! Cold rose water, sharp boozy note, slightly sugary. Indeed slightly liquorice-y/vanilla-y, it seems jarring, almost but it's not in a bad way. Doesn't change much from here besides that it amps and amps. I ...like it, I truly do... But I can't get myself to love this.

Ahh, patchouli is the first thing that greets you here, with a lovely undercurrent of tobacco. The pine in this amps on me though along with the indian resins, barely any honey or vanilla detected on drydown. But then! Luck strikes. There's the vanilla. The sharper notes are still overpowering but the vanilla has now come up along with the skin musk and it's quite lovely! The pine is mostly gone at this point too. This is exquisite but not something I'd want to smell like in daily wear. I totally get what this is going for though.

There's another BPAL scent that's exactly like this in the imp/when wet but I forgot which one it is gah! It's pretty close to Mme. Moriarty though but I'm betting that's the red musk. This is sexy, soft and the Clove and Iris gives it this earthy and cold edge, while still smelling as comfortable as a pillow. Red musk and florals are the more dominant notes on me here.

Soft squishy cake, topped with chocolate sauce, grated apple pieces, something almost champagne-y and a cherry on top. Delicious!!!!!!! Ahh I want to eat my hand. However my skin (un?)ironically eats this in minutes and I'm only left with the cake and cherry-ish type note in there. Still lovely, but I surprisingly loved the boozyness in there!
-
The same snow note used in Winter-time but also the pine used in Woods in winter mixed with sweet, red berries and something that resembles honey. Chilly, but the really cold note gets eaten by my skin and I'm left with the drizzly sweet note. Wet. Nice, but not for me.

Musky, I think this one reminds me a bit of Oberon though I think that one was more woodsy; this is a more wavery (or rather every-sniff-you-take-is-of-a-different-throw-level) blend, slightly soapy and the glitter could be mint or champange? A springtime scent. Sweet, warm, comfy but mysterious. Very interesting!

From the imp it's just delicious, sweetened tea. Very green but not too leaf-y if that makes any sense. A nice touch of citrus notes in there but nothing too strong. The mint and champagne in this are deliiicious! However, on me as well, the sweet tea note dies down in an instant and the slightly herbal/medicinal notes take over (I'm guessing that's the mullein and toadflax)? It's still sweet, still green but smells more like a garden now. I certainly don't hate it (more like reallyreally like it) but it was better at the start. Glad I got to give this a try!

Wow!!! Thick, heady, tarty and sweet are words that come to mind sniffing the imp. It's lovely at first, exactly what you'd hope reading the words dark pumpkin mead but alas, just as with Jack, this pumkin fades and fades away and there's only the boozy/honey notes left. Not bad, but the pumpkin was what made this awesome. Aw. :c

Cherry!!! and is there coconut in here or is that just the freakin' cherry? Anyway, the coconut-element fades almost directly (but slowly) on my skin, but the sweetness of the cherry is ever there. Maybe a sniff of something that resembles a grain note, but no milk. Too bad I hate the cherry note hm.

This one's so fun how could I not give this a try. A soft opoponax lost in a thick fog. Gravel indeed. Gravel on a dark road in a forest? Sure smells like it. It surprisingly goes from dark and gravely to something like a dark fairytale.. messed up but it's got it's soft, tender moments and aesthetically pleasing but creepy elves. Or... Something like that. The more it dries down the more I like it, though I'll admit I'm actually missing the gravel now that it's fading. It's still there, but the violet seems to amp on me here. I don't think I need a bottle but man this is nice!

Blue lollipops from the imp indeed! So happy, bubbly and nostalgic. Wet, it's all of the mentioned notes. It's a chilly blue lollipop on my skin on drydown, and it's making me hungry and I'm not mad about it but it is a problem.
-
Ugh! Oh! This is so lush! Wonderfully spicy, foody but without being too tarty! A could-be-weenie. A feast on a golden afternoon on an autumn day. The apple, like in Samhain amps on me but other than that this is a lovely cornucopia.

2010 Version; The tobacco and coconut kinda scared me from the bottle, as I'm not a huge fan of either however on application it directly changes and it's sweet delicious caramel with a whaft of golden(!!!) amber and the spices. Dark, sexy, and this smells like freaking ambient noise; close your eyes and you're in a different place. What place? I can't yet make up my mind. But it's not uncomfortable. This is like an evil version of Edith Cushing! Oooh...

I just had to try this once I read the notes- I love BPAL's plum note, and this reminds me a lot of winter-time. From the imp it screams a sweet mint in your face, slowly fading and making way for the lavender to envelop the plum. Lovely. A liiiiittle soapy. Sweet, soft and definately wintery.
