Oof, a sweet in your face aquatic. What everyone else/the description is saying, apricot booze. A nice, realistic apricot ...thaaaat goes plastic-y on me on drydown. D'aw.

There's my good 'ol buddy almond again. Actually it's not as disgusting to me in this as I usually feel about it; there's another sweet note balancing it out quite well. On my skin, it keeps that, but quickly morphs and fades those notes just a bit and there's something tangy and dark (probably tobacco and maybe something else)? A no for me, but it's a good blend!

Something lemony or lime-y and a very faint sweeter note embracing a lovely warm tobacco and leather. Cold winter wind booming against an old castle tower. In the tower there's a small room, with a wooden floor, well-built and furnished furniture, on which bottles of booze and a group of men scatteredly sit, sucking their glowing pipes, most of them staring at a roaring fireplace. Not for me personally but it's lovely and intricate!!

Vampire Tarot: The Magician
Cali replied to angelicruin's topic in 15 Painted Cards From A Vampire Tarot
Hmm... What to say about this one. I feel like I know this from something or somewhere but I've no idea what. The only distinctive thing in this to me is benzoin; then again I have to admit that I'm not entirely sure what the other components should smell like. In the bottle: dark, twisted, dusty, woody, just sharp enough, and a lot of benzoin. My skin seems to adore this as tones down the benzoin a bit but keeps everything balanced out nicely... as to what is actually is balanced out to I can only describe as a smooth and dark looming incense. -
Mmmmm, lovely and sweet. A breath of fresh air and mostly florals and pomegranate juice. My skin amps up the aquatics in there and turns it into a very freshly manufactured plastic. Too bad, it's so cute in the imp!

Literally what I'd expected from the name. A dark, damp swamp with little bugs zooming around your head. Giant plants surrounding a tiny wooden tavern emitting a cozy light. The faint sound of flutes and guitars in the distance. So yeah, basically wet greens with a dark twist- and yes, beer.

In the imp: an abandoned overgrown flower shop. Interesting! On my skin: earthiness, but not too pungent. Still getting dead (and sweet) florals, dust, raggedy curtains and damp air/condensation. Getting a whiff of coconut here and there. Not for me, but certainly a great scent to try, imagery-evoking. This tells a story.

Oh! First time I sniffed this I hated it, I remember thinking "super in your face masculine-cologne, aquatic, salt" ...Not getting any of that this sniff 'round. Well, alright, there's a saltyness to it and I'd say it's neutral/masculine. Once on my skin the overpowering metal and stone notes dissapear, and amps up a lovely sweet dusty leather with a bit of earthyness. It's really dark and smooth. Faaancy!

Ooh, sweet, hyperactive, candy!! Sour gummi worms indeed. It gets a little more creamy or fluffy on my skin. It's just a really fun, cute, fresh summery scent. An active day in the park with a string forming a crown of daisies on your head!

Very sexy, dark and delicate (but self assured!). Crimson red and feminine. Smoky with a lot of strong roses. It's kinda dusty (red musk) like velveteen curtains hanging in a small, dimly lit cosy room. It's not for me as it goes a sharp and a bit too cold on my skin (some bpal roses tend to do this on me) but if it didn't this would've been an insta-bottle. Lovely!

In the imp, it's sweet, lots of frankincense and something woodsy. It's thick, rich and warm. On my skin it goes pencil shavings and something else that's not good on me (almost an expired-foody scent); I'm guessing what other people have noted it's vetiver... Too bad, I was hoping for a cold, creepy dark church concoction. Doesn't work for me, or at least, on my skin... too bad!
-
Ahh vetiver my good buddy, there you are again. Fantastic. Anyway, the vetiver, apricot and bitter clove really rule this in the imp, but on drydown it goes a bit softer (don't get me wrong, the bitterness is still there). The red musk goes all types of crazy when dry. Headache-invoking for me, unfortunately, but I totally get how this fits well in the lupercalia section/concept, without even smelling any of the others.

It does kinda smell like walking around on a graveyard in late autumn. It is chilly and damp and I'm pretty sure that's the white roses and sandalwood. The florals are reaally pretty in there and it's slightly earthy and powdery. It's hard to describe but it's a well-mixed blend. It's got a nice throw on me as well and it's got the same type of darkness/spookyness that samhain has!

Mmmm tasty! Sugary sharp fruits!! Doesn't morph on my skin, the lilac barely there, lime and citron screaming, the white musk giving it a warm, soft edge. Nice.
-
This kinda goes into the same territory that those/that citrus swabs/cologne that my grandma used once in a blue moon gets into, but softer. The lavender is reaally smooth (lovely!). On my skin it directly morphs into a powdery, even slightly herbal mixture. It doesn't work on me unfortunately, but I'm glad I got to try it. ^^

While sniffing this I was reminded of how I'd forgotten that I love abricot. The abricot was what really stood out at first sniff from the imp and it keeps that quality up 'till drydown. Once dry, the abricot takes the backseat (it nearly vanishes) while the blossom and (mostly!) the white musk come out to play. It's really cute and a nice spring scent.

Preeettyyy! Warm, aquatic, dusty, tropical... all sorts of goodness. The notes are easy to pick apart. A sexy, feminine scent with a decent throw. At drydown, the florals pop out but everything's still there. Myrrh always amps up on my skin though but it's not at all distracting/overpowering. Perhaps I should get a bottle of this in the future...

Appearantly carnation is spicy. Ok, good to know, because yes there's definately a spice in there. Subtle enough, but, it's there. A soft, lovely rose, spices and something sugary-sweet. Really really cute.

Clean, soapy. But an expensive one at that! Goes really well with the other RPG scents I've tried so far. There's a woodsyness to it, like adventuring through the crisp forest in spring when it hasn't gotten warm outside yet. Not for me, but those berries are great.

This is like looking out the window on a cold, rainy day, a rose-scented candle burning on a stand near you.

The pie in this is scrumptious! Very foody; lots 'n lots of that pie, and a good amount of booze. On my skin the booze note thankfully morphs to something a bit softer in nature, with just a touch of wood. It's spicy and full of holiday joy!
-
It's very cologne-y in the imp. I think it's the spiced rum but I feel a little holly jolly sniffing this. It's like walking around a christmas market in Germany at night. I'm doing it wrong, I'm not getting anything piraty. Buuuut, my strange imagination aside, this is lovely!
-
Here I was, expecting something dark and broody, I'm getting a very fresh sandalwood. It goes even sweeter on my skin! To be fair, there's a bitterness in it, and a whisp of cold air. My skin drinks it up but holds on to the white florals and sandalwood.

Yuck, almond and vetiver. I should've checked the notes before I got this, but then again I'm open to learning new thigs, who knows, maybe this time it would work! Ha-ha, no, not to me. But, I'm sure if that's your thing you'll love this. It's a fresh, almond-heavy infused marzipan with all the dark goodness that comes with the vetiver, patchouli and the softness of myrrh. I'm chickening out of putting this on my skin though.
-
Not sure what ambergris and carnation are supposed to smell like, but the orange blossom and patchouli are easy to pick apart. Warm, red, earthy but clean (kind of like lush's devil's nightcap). On drydown at first I thought my skin ate it completely. However, right after that there's a very insence-y edge to it and it seems to be sticking to it. Nice, but not for me.
