I feel like i smelled this before, but can't put my finger on it, maybe something from my childhood? Anyway, i'm not too familiar with a lot of the notes in there, but one thing that definately pops out is the white chocolate! All in all this is a floral, sweet scent, goopily sweet even, given a light boozy freshness by the bourbon. Not for me at all but i'm sure this is a beloved one.

Super sappy - bitter, fresh woods. A bit aggresive on application, but gets very agreeable when dry.
-
A somewhat soapy lush floral on me! Actually lovely, but all but the lillies dissapear on me, aw.

A glittery, almost champagne-y silver bubbling on top of a thick, sweet blueberry ...cocktail? Wet, this is somewhat boozy on me - it quickly dries down to a more fresh blueberry scent, perhaps a child's interpretation of what the perfect blueberry picking adventure at dawn would smell like. It also seems like 'one of those' that just woul go plasticy on my skin, but i'm pleasantly surprised that the longer it's on me, the lovelier this gets!

This is very close to the unquiet grave to me, specifically when it's wet! It's definately got a strong glob of snake oil in there though, that kinda makes it more orange-tinted in my mind than a colder, white chill that the unquiet grave was. All the notes are there, but it's blended beautifully!

Oh, my sweet, sugared benzoin how i love thee. This is a lovely, somewhat simple soft rose scent - the warm sweetness of the benzoin and the other notes giving this a somewhat silvery freshness. Beautiful, but my skin completely eats this. 😭
-
Completely agree with everything said before me, a lovely soft creamy fairy scent- easy to let your mind wander off into a macro dreamsphere at twilight, twirling in the damp flora while fireflies dance around you.

og version. This is tokio stomp on me, without actually going sour on my skin!! Delicious tarty minty goodness!!! Vanilla mints that have a slight nutty edge to them, with a slightly creamy base. Hmm...
-
og version. A delicious pink, sugarygrittyness with some… sweet lemon? in there. It's delightful, very edible thanks to the cardamom. Delightful and i wish my dear frottler knew just how thankful i am. ;-;

Ohh! Sexy, soft, delicious. That amazingly realistic leather note the lab does so well, mixed with just a tinge of greenishness and something i want to call 'fresh animalistic'. Pretty sure it's the matcha, champaca, anise and narcissus that work together to create that base, on top is just layers and layers of delightful patchouli leather.

Oof, first sniff i was thinking there was ink black opoponax in there or thick vetiver. It kinda smells like decay you'd smell in a garden centre if you're visiting on the wrong day... Reading the notes, it makes more sense- though. And to be honest, the cacao starts coming through the more it dries down. But it somehow starts to resemble those orange-chocolate cookies more and I literally can not deal with that, unfortunately. Not for me!

A very soft lavender incense - the stone has something earthy about it, and far in the background there's a lovely beeswax. Wasn't expecting to like this as much!
-
Subtle pumpkin, lotsa spices! I swear there's apple in here. ...This is honestly very similar on me as to what bobbing for apples was. But far spicier! But, this does have a home-candle quality to it that i can't quite place. Is there wax in here? Maybe that's what the sandalwood does on me. Anyway, sad about that, it's a faux-smelling kinda foodie on me, this has great potential for somebody else though! :')

Café De Olla Fried Ice Cream Jammed Into A Coconut Cream Pie
Cali replied to Seajewel's topic in Gifts with Donation or Purchase
Definately smell that lemon icecream, salty fried goodness, dusted with angelic sugar (though i do see where the cilantro/cumin mentions are coming from). Not bad at all, strange but very enjoyable!- 20 replies

Now i will start this off by saying that i was looking for the cobalt version of this bottle because i fell in love with the bottle+art combo, and I got lucky finding a swap for it (thank you)! ❤ But, as i sniffed it for the first time i audibly gasped, this is DELICIOUS and i'm happy to say i found a new autumn favourite. I have tried candycorn before, but this is that, on a whole 'nother level. The spices are strong (but not pungent) and it stays strong on my skin as well. The spices give it this ooky darker layer, definately more complex than "just candy corn". I LOVE THIS!!

Really what it says on the tin. This is a cloyingly sweet cookie with dare i say brown sugar and probably a bit of a hard cakey texture, with that soft buttery vannilaish snow thing that snow what has which surrounds it. Doesn’t morph, stays as is, really strong.

2012 Version. First thing i proclaimed out loud was ‘Ahh sweet patchouli!’ This is exactly what I imagine it would be from the description on in in the decant. A gritty, witchy and woody (like an expensive furniture type of laquered wood) scent. Dark images of a little cottage in the wood, enveloped by a thick fog of patchouli, champaca and incense, with a big glob of sweet dark orange honey. On my skin it starts morphing quite quickly to something that’s a little squishier, less gritty and the red musk really comes out to play. It dries down to a somewhat agressive red musk, veeery vaguely reminding me of Crimson peak’s ‘Crimson’. It’s gotten back to a more dry scent now, there’s still a pretty strong wood and honey behind the red musk, and the gritty, dirty, and fog-smells have all gone to the background. This is a witch with which you don’t want to fuck around and find out!

Ridiculous indeed, but no less fun either! I’m picking up strong caramel but that may be the closest i’ve ever come to butterscotch, with a lovely pulpy RED apple and a soft coconut rum. Not more complicated than that, but it needn’t be. It dries down to a slightly more cloye-y but also more subtle scent. Happy happy!

I've been really interested in giving this one a try! In the decant it's a weirdly greenish, silvery scent with a sharp/hard edge. I’d almost say weirdly ‘concrete-y’. I’m a little scared of the vetiver, but the rest of the notes seem so lovely, just gotta get through it (lol). On my skin that weird sharp concrete-y note dissapears and whether it’s that, or another note that pops up – it becomes a soft, velvety scent. The pale orchid is not super up-front, but this does have a main white-floral thing going on, but lots of complexity here. A soft cloud of champaca, myrhh, vetiver and oude to lay down on, a flash of white, cool peach and the warmth of the black currant paired with amber. I’m not familiar with the story, but i’m getting real ‘wise/well-traveled woman’ vibes from this. The vetiver is juuuust there enough for me to be irked by it, unfortunately, but this is beautiful!!

SUPER creamy super realistic chocolate. And, yes, sugary chocolate cream filling. Delish.

I was curious about this, because i couldn't imagine what this... would be like. But, straight in the imp this was an ‘ew’, something gritty-greenish amongst overly sweet mix of sum’n. However, on my skin this morphs into something closer to sunscreen. ...I can’t explain it, it doesn’t make sense. But this is a weirdly sweet sunscreen.

I can pick apart the notes easily, honestly. It’s not a very deep review. It is however very pleasant, the rice milk give it a soft, light edge. I wouldn’t give this ‘spicy snake oil chocolate’ though, i’d go for more floral snake oil chocolate’.

Oooo definately lemony sugar, but i also understand the chocolate twizzler connection mentioned above. Strange, cause THAT seem like combinations i’d both hate, but this is VERY sniffable. It reminds me of a combination of notes that’s also in Reptoid dominion, it has something similar where this patchouli is somewhat lime-lemony at times, but nothing overpowers. Delightful.

This is an ink black goopy oil. Delicious spiced cacao mainly, the rest is there in the background like you’re sipping on an unending, perfect cocoa while in a great golden hall with a feast. Dries down to a spicy cinnamon with a slight tinge of wine. Beautiful.

Exactly a peep. And, yes- a stale one. How the hell do they do this??? For someone who has eaten a record amount of marshmallows in the last few weeks this is exactly that, maybe a pink variant, but that could just be my brain making the pink part up. Such a happy fun sugary scent!
