Mpfh, as much as i am having difficulty adding to a description of this - as i get all the notes in there - it is not overly simple and quite sexy. Gots ta find myself a man to smear this on (...but until then my own locks will do). This is a grown-up , soft and slightly masculine leaning spicy scent. The vanilla bean making this an indeed "approachable" scent, friendly. The myrrh and sandalwood working hard to make this something i deem quite sexy indeed.

Slightly soapy from the imp to indeed a more ritual-apt scent; warm berries, soft dusty fir and an ashy natural note (the bark) incense. If i could get my house to smell like this in winter I Know I've Made It!

Weirdly i am getting some kind of chocolate wet, which drizzles, then, to a slightly less thick... More.... orange-chocolate? That, and on top a goopy marshmallow (a red-currant one?). No (well only the slightest dusting of) cinnamon.

Dreamy from the get-go. Dreamy akin to Oberon, Titania, and Puck with fairies dancing, even a somewhat similarly whimsical fragrance; soft, pinkish and pillowy. Not a strong throw here, definately a your skin but better scent. Pinky-champagne vanilla-floral, a slash of red amber warmth and leather, prickling, twinkling and sparkling together to make marvellous mischief, a magical moment in time.

Oh man, delicious butterscoch rum (though not strong on the alcohol/booze-note) soft sweet hazelnuts on a backdrop of beautiful outdoorsy (though strangely enough not cold but cozy) snowy wonderland. What a dream. Holding on to this decant for sure.

Super fruity freshly applied. Strong and thiccv red currants and indeed a candied thick red crust, barely to no patchouli. A whisp, if you will (no pun intended)? Doesn't morph too much; a nice, very red currant candy with a sliiiight ground of soft patchouli far in the background.

Everything everywhere all at once when wet - and within a minute, where did everything go? I am left with a less impressive version of Christmas lustre, but with a far fruitier overtione. Absolutely not bad, and i am doing it a bit of a dissersive - but that is because my skin just eats this. Por qué?!?!

The tart cherries worry me from the get go (the "almond-cherry" note) but i must admit it fades to something less offensive to my nose quite quickly; THIS is a delicious red cherry crumble with a beautiful romance-(but slightly overly sweet) themed cocktail and a bowl of those red sugar primavera candies from haribo. Honestly, SUPER super fun and really beautiful and a little hyper.

Ohhh mAN. First off, the jasmine is kept well in-check here, a velvety soft experience of a tropical moonlit paradise, a shimmer of moonlight and a glimmer of indeed a fruity-like something aside from the accomodating citrus.. This is sultry and beautiful and i may need a bottle in the future. Keeping my claws onto this decant for sure!!

Ooooo heady floral indeed. Not so much as like in Hymn, but a more tropical, more akin to (though not -leaning) aquatic heady. On drydown there's morr of a green peppery punch which heads slightly more in the direction of cottage garden, but perhaps my skin likes to amp these types of notes. It does calm down the tiniest bit to step back more into the creamy side. I can also join in with the 'it's giving jasmine or honeysuckle but also not quite'-camp. Super sexy, summery, warm, creamy floral.

So excited to try this one! Exactly all notes are all there; this is a nostalgic, old timey christmas through the lens of a magic lantern; a slightly blurry-at-the-edges, colourful imagery tinged with image noise and some scratches of a warm, cozy christmas past. The amber has a similar "illuminating" effect here as in the blow mold scents, on me the throw is surpisingly strong! I'm guessing the chestnut throws in a bit of sliiiiightly dirt-like (but very soft) grit that compliments the allspice (is there even a tiny bit of dried orange in here?) and the caramel is the soft background to it all.

That's bloody alright! First thing that hits me is a metallic-like twang (that deepens and softens more into the other notes later on), and thennnn that clove comes out (kinda wanna lick this)... I think the main note that i am getting must be the pomegranate, which is one that I am not super aquainted with, but it's decidedly red, lucious and slightly "watery". Unfortunately i have to take this off as this seems to be triggering a migraine for me. 😭

Ooph, heady and very strong a-something akin to a strong white floral/jasmine right from the get-go (though both the rose and champaca are there), and quickly (phew) calms down; honestly just a lovely mix of both; it is the rose with freshly-cut stems/the greeny note in there, not the peacock queen-rose. It's not very ampy at all which is what I was expecting with the champaca, but a lot of this frustratingly dissapears on my skin! Bah!! May be too "soapy-feeling" for some, but to me it's just dusty enough that is dissuades from that.

Oh no, did I buy the wrong lovebat? (Sorry pink lovebat, you're adorable too)! Straight from the imp this is delightful, reminds me of those overly-sweet fantas i had as a kid in New Zealand they had well over 20 years ago in so many fluorescent colours that don't exist anymore and would probably make me sick these days. But oh so happy, fuzzy. The bubbly-ness calms down a little bit on drydown, but there is still hat candy-green apple with a soft-creamy centre. Mint provides the fuzzyness. Unfortunately not a great throw but loving this. Would be a LOVELY summer scent! And may need to find myself a bottle.

Delicious black cherries, dry (but not too heady) plum wine on a smokyyyy (fiery) base of kyphi and red sandalwood. On my skin too, the cherries phase out quite a lot and it turns into a far more dragon-matched scent indeed. Still very sweet and surprisingly soft; he kyphi also gets less fiery and the 'funk' in here also drops significantly. I am left with a fluffy red skin musk.

Ohhhh goodness, this is that fresh water scent I was hoping to find someday. It's more tropical-aesthetic leaning, but does not have any green or florals to back that up/distract from the blueishness. The notes are all there exactly as stated, the salt to me grounds it slightly, just makes sure it doesn't go into too-sweet territory.

Oooh, I can't help but invision some kinda crossroads coming out of a forest, dirt paths lined by sweet mosses and night florals, lit by moonlight and a pertubing flash of lightning. At drydown, you've chosen your path and ended up in a glorious herb garden (with some stubborn or just beloved flowers).

Black Butterfly Moon: Myrrh and Black Berries
Cali replied to doomsday_disco's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
Hm. Maybe it's just me but there is a certain "nature"-quality in here that reminds me of the dustyness of butterfly wings. Indeed a good mix of Myrrh and blackberries - sliiihgtly candy-leaning blackberries and i too am finding a bit of a dark plum in here. Also agree with the fizzy/velvetyness. Quite intriguing for such a simple scent description. -
Ooo I vibe with this. A gorgeous thick juicy plum with some very faint smokey red musk, white & gold specks (they calm down a little bit once dry) and that deep labdanum... These work hauntingly well together, to form this gorgeous, deep-in-thoughts, close to the skin scent.

Oh dear. Strong citrus, bubbly greens and golds and leafy-musk base. I am on the same level as LavenderCoffee as I was expecting a slightly more patchouli, perhaps grittier perfume? This is lovely but not that; I AM getting the patchouli (it reminds me very very very very vaguely of reptoid dominion) in the background, and it morphs into a pretty sweet hard candy mix of yellow-orange-and green flavours with the orange containing a sprinkle of cinnamon (must be the clove and a mix of a few other notes giving that kinda impression) and the backing of a fresh, green leather.

Unfortunately for me it's the almond-cherry forward note to me in here. That stays super strong. However, the ice cream note stays deliciously creamy and the strawberry does not go off as previous perfumes have done on my skin. The papayo juice gives this a loooovely candied frosty lining. ...Is there a little wafer-note in there or am I tweaking? Who knows - as much as the cherry is a bit too much for me, it is a lovely, lovely foodie.

2025 version. Ohhhh this is lovely and exacly what I expected. In the bottle it's kinda scary - there's a linnen ish-edging-on-zesty mix in there alongs that's quite wild within the bottle, but it calms down on the skin thankfully. There is something in here i can vaguely describe as "soapy", but it's more of a clean-nondescript soapy if that's any help. It really otherwise is like a faded somewhat nostalgic scent of time and fragrance past. A sepia-tinted vortex to days of old. The caramel musk stands out above all and is absolutely delicious. First time I put this on was when I got my new stuff in the mail and was already wearing Pumpkin spice hot buttered rum (and couldn't help trying this on on top of that) - and I can report that they go very well together!

Yes.... Yes, yes!! First impression from the bottle; just got it in today so it may need more settling, but i am excited; there is this dusty, fabricy and soft mix of the frankincense, champaca, opoponax, amber, patchouli root and musk which is a dusky dark grey swirled mix, backed by a colder white-blueish floral. No blood-anything for me. On skin and drydown there is a more creamy note, reminiscent (but not close to) the white clown paint note, soft - a mix of the bourbon vanilla and the black amber. The plum amps a bit and adds a soft, squishy purple streak This smells more like a skin musk to me, a really good wish-i-smelled-like-this skin musk. With some throw (it's not super close to the skin). Really glad I got this in the end, it's so different from most of what I tried and it's a lovely "journey" to wear each time. Been coming back every few weeks to try and leave a review for this one.... it's hard to describe. Please be nice. :')

Oh no, it's got that "raisin" note in here that i've smelled before and unfortunately is just not my thing. The pumpkin is lovely and sweet, not nausiating once it dries down on my skin as pumpkin sometimes does (yay). Theres some cinnamon and vaguely perhaps a tiny bit of other spices (clove?) and this doughy-sticky cake note. Which, so unfortnately for me does not work. I did not put on much, but it's still got a decent throw. Think i just have to give up on baked-related foodies, but of that is your thing you will LOVE this!!
