Agree with the raw almond reviews on here. There's a sliiightly "hard-candy" element in this, but far in the background, but it's mostly pretty earthy and woodsy almond.
-
Sooo fresh and clean! Aquatic minty breath, fresh laundry in the background, lol? Citrus, possibly a white floral, and i'm also getting that embalming-fluid thingy. Also got a floor/al-purpose-cleaner element to it. Hm.

'Was there coconut in there?' was my first thought after sniffing on application and not having looked at the notes for a while. Yes, ofcourse there is. and that's the thing that comes to the foreground for me. Pulpy coconut, with vague floral notes, a nice slightly animalistic musk and the tar that gives it a bit of grit/earthyness in the far background. Wasn't expecting the coconut to be so overpowering on me unfortunately.

WHOAH hello jasmine! I think jasmine amped on me before and this on application SCREAMS all that. It's fresh though, and has that same sultry feel the other our lady of pain 'fumes has. The opium smoke is sexy af and the honeysuckle adds a much-needed, soft floral sweetness to the mix.

A more fiery blend, with a deliciously sweet fig, almond cream and guava - where the sandalwood and patchouli smell like they're having a battle of who's the strongest. Dunno what my skin is doing here, but while it's not a particularly strong ampy one on me, these just shove the rest of the lovely notes aside and leave me wanting for more. Meh.

Mmm. Juicy guava backed by possibly the creamiest, softest cloud of vanilla i've smelled yet. The pink fig is i'm guessing the more tart scent in here - it's not like the other fig scents, but reminds me more of a grapefruit (just not as zesty). Super happy, summery, sweet goodness!

Woww, chestnut chocolate vanilla filling!! Super realistic foody delight. Getting small flecks of caramel in the background. Dries down to something less strong and sweet (perhaps maybe for the best), and has a nice eathy grit from the cardamom and chestnuts. Really nice!!

Strooonng gushy strawberries, touched by sappy greens. Super realistic in the imp, it does dry down to something much more greener and sharp on my skin unfortunately.

This is suuuch a cute concept so happy to finally give it a try! Just coming off of my brimstone review, that's in there alright - but far in the background, while the red sandalwood is the strongest on me, mixing well with the champaca and frankincense. It's surprisingly not super in your face, but quite calm. There's almost a soapy quality to it in a strange way.

Whoof! The roof is on fire! This is directly triggering a migraine lol, but i don't hate this - looots of smoke, as if you're standing next to a building burning that's got thick walls of concrete; there's a sort of ozone-y quality to it (sky city before without the clean/floral qualities to it?), with throat-tingling grit of gray and black smoke.
-
i'm getting some kind of spices(?) at first. Kind of like a slap of clove, amps up the golden honey, then followed by whafts of that fig, patchouli and ylang ylang in waves. This doesn't really come together and stays kinda jumbled on my skin, as if the notes just don't want to connect on my skin. The honey with clove ends up taking this over which is unfortunately not my favourite, but it's very quiet and somehow not an edible-kinda honey?

It's like a well of fresh eucalyptus, flecks of white sparkly aldehyde and wayyy in the bottom, there drifts the labdanum and olibanum.
-
Yup, that's sexy alright. A softer, more "grown up"-marshmallow and strong white rose and something skin-musky indeed, dare i say something... fluid-related in there. Hee.

Ooooo this is sooo interesting and i'm so happy to have tried this!! Once again Beth hit it on the head with a strangely nostalgic type scent, where you can just smell the plastic warmed by the glowing amber lights. The candy corn is there, almost as if mixed with milk or a creamy substance... A cozy 'lil october night lit by adorable spirits. The amber doesn't fully agree with me unfortunately as it sometimes does, but this is just SO intriguing and i can't stop sniffing my wrist everytime i have this on!

The pinkiest scent i've tried so far that actually also works on me, woohoo! Notes are exactly as it reads on the tin - fluffy pink cream (thats'sliiightly tangy) and a hard candy strawberry to round it off. Simple, but delightful. Not too sweet, and has a pretty good throw and staying time. Really really like this!!

Oh Stańczyk my beloved. This could've gone two ways but this is SO pretty. Sexy soft leather, strong cherries, spiced wine and a dark sensuous tinge to it - this is a sexier, darker mme moriarty. Great throw and stay.

I was expecting something more "perfumy" - this falls more into the 'edible' category for me. Tarty, crumbly and sweet! Starts with STRONG rhubarb and strawberries - the other notes come out right after application. Strong labdanum and amber now take over, as the rose is vaaaguely in the background, as the other notes now work as kind of a crunchy sweet pastry!

Spicy carnation with snake oil! I don't know if my skin just eats snake oil as soon as anything is added to it, but it seems to be pretty much the case. I end up with mostly spicy carnations and a vaague vanilla-remnant of the snake oil. It's very very pretty, but the carnation doesn't amp enough (nor the snake oil) for me to hold on to this... sighs.

This has a champagny- woodsy feel to it right off the bat! The wood (which i guess i have the glittering amber and champaca mix to thank for) is not just any wood- it's an ornately carved bannister in an old victorian mansion. Whiffs of a sweet golden vanilla silk cloth passes you by, as you stand there, holding on to bannister, eyes closed, in the flickering amber lights. The night has only just begun.

Ugh noo this doesn't work on me!! The cotton candy is glorious, but the candied rose and i guess sugar smell like something i would expect to smell in a high-end bakery and are very in the foreground - it doesn't morph on my skin, as i'd hoped the cotton candy would amp and soften those notes a bit, but alas... The candy/sugary aspect just is too rough on me, too harsh. Guess this will have to go to someone that will (absolutely) love this!

Is it strange that this is very close to Lady Lucille Sharpe on me? Even in the bottle as well, it's like a sister - it's slightly dustier and more subtle. A beautiful dark floral, with a slightly musky, lighter animalistic blanket over it. It's super pretty.
-
Soo excited about this one!! The bottle art is really cute and a gorgeous colour, it almost doesn't look like something i's expect from bpal. Almost overwhelmingly salty in the bottle, aquatic, sea salt and fruity florals in the bottle. It's quite gorgeous, but the salt is scaring me a bit. Applied the saltyness calms down - even though it stays there, farrr off in the background, complimenting the rest of the "bouquet" that's going on here. Definately getting a very soft honey and rose, strong pear? (Guessing that may be the grass note) and skin musk. So far it's a softer, bleuer version of Liadain & Curithir on me. My skin seems to be eating this far too fast though, where it quickly goes into 'your-skin-but-better' territory (and i'm one for slightly ....stronger stuff, heh). so i may reconsider keeping this around (which is a damn shame, cause this is very pretty)! I'm sick atm so i may not be picking it up as i should. Will retest in a little bit, if my opinion changes i'll update this.

How have I not left a review here yet! I've had this sitting around since I got the christmas order in, and i absolutely love this wet: soapy incense, applied it directly morphs to something deeper, and more realistic. It really evokes the art it's based on; a creepy, dark monastery looming in the distance with inexplicable strong waft of incense and myrrh coming from it's direction, luring you nearer to it. You, perhaps a weary traveler alone on a snowy night, looking for a place to stay. I can smell mosses and trees, and the cold snow. Dried, it's more like you're already inside the monastery, or at least just stepped in the door, as I get a slightly more stone-scent(?) later, and wafts every so often of the "forest" aspect of it. (The scent is not creepy neccesarily, that's what my brain, paired with the art makes of this, it is a very wearable, beautiful thing. Nor is it super heavy on anything, everything is mixed gorgeously and even the frankincense, while being the strongest, doesn't go crazy like it did on my skin with many other scents). Beautiful!!

SUPER strong just... toastedness from the imp. Thank goodness it calms down as soon as i put it on. I also get molasses, super dark chocolate (too bitter to eat), toasted cardamom, a far away patchouli and I guess vanilla and benzoin (lol). I swear I've smelled something similar to this in the past (not a perfume) somewhere and if it ever hits me i'll update it here. It goes more sexy near drydown, but i wish my skin amped the vanilla here, because good lord it would've been good if it did that!! I see the vision, just can't reach it.

Woahwoah! The snake oil is there in the imp, but as i put this on, a strong, zingy sharp acai berry slaps me in the face - which is engulfed in a tiiny bit of cardemom and drenched in sandalwood. The smoke comes out by drydown, giving it a vetiver-esque edge. Herbal, earthy 'strange yellow gloppy tincture in a desert vibes'. It's almost a more feminine version of Seth - though this is more dried out and a liiitle more 'clean' than 'skin'.
