Lucretia

This is all florals at first, mainly gardenia. But I have to say I really like the dry down! I get more musk and the ambrette and it's just a really pretty classy kind of scent. There's also something green smelling, like leaves or cut stems that I'm not sure I can pinpoint. I can tell I'm going to wear this a lot!

This is all apple first one, which worried me a bit because I don't dig the potpourri apple smell I get a lot. Then something sweet and vanilla-y comes out (but not candy sweet) as well as some musk and this turns absolutely gorgeous. I can see the glittering for sure. I think this is a big win. The final dry down hours later is almost like vanilla extract on me, almost no apple left at all.

This smells mainly like sweet rice on me, and a tiny bit like popcorn! I don't get much sap or amber at all, and if there's a moss note it's definitely not that musty wet moss that I get from a lot of other scents. Overall, this is warm, sweet, and vaguely foody. Not at all what I was expecting, but I think it will grow on me. Love the art!

If I didn't know better I'd say there was leather in here! The coffee note is totally different from say Misc U or Mata Hari. It's less overpowering and a less like a warm coffee shop. This is more masculine than I would have thought (I guess thanks to the khus and hinoki?). As it dries I start to like it more. I get more mallow, which sweetens it up a tiny bit, and the faux leather goes away. Smells a bit like a savory marshmallow with a hint of coffee and woods. I agree that it's a very brown kind of scent!

I don't really get any magnolia. First on it's a bit sharp (lavender? lemongrass?). I recognize it but can't place it. Do I detect a hint of rose? Definitely some lemon action going on. It's vaguely reminiscent of some of the sleep blends. It's pretty, and that's always a plus for an oil where the main intent isn't even to smell good.

Oooh, this is perfect! Practically edible in the bottle. After a few minutes it gets a little sharp like lemon candy, but the final dry down is sweet powdered sugar and lemon. I was worried it was going to be artificial smelling, but this smells great!

I actually really, really like this one, and I'm not generally a fan of aquatics. I definitely a rose note, and then what smells to me like the oude and the davana (it smells like a delicate wooden box with roses in it to some extent). I'm not picking up much amber at all. On me it's definitely a rose scent with something light and sweet tying all together. It actually smells very comforting on me and I'm debating a second bottle.

I'm in love with this one. It reminds me a bit of that warm mossy spicy goodness that was the original hamadryad. This is gorgeous on me and now I must obtain more! Apparently I'm a sucker for a good moss.

I was too afraid to order this based on the description alone (although I do like vetiver), but I swapped for it at a M&S because to my amazement I really like it! First on it's a bit iffy. Lots of musk and I think civet. But after about 10 minutes it's absolutely gorgeous. It smells like a forest! I don't get anything sharp or unpleasant, just a perfectly well balanced scent of a dark pine forest. I think is my perfect forest scent because it smells just like forests I used to hike in in winter as a child. It's not my favorite all time scent ever, but for this category of scent I give it a 5/5.

In the bottle it's peaches and bright, soft peach blossoms. On it's light and more peachy. Like others said, it's a really natural fresh peach and not particularly sweet or juicy at all. The currant keeps it a bit sharp. The dry down has more gardenia going on with pink musk in the background. It's not as strong as I might have hoped, but overall it's a very pleasant fresh scent that I think I'll wear a lot this spring. ETA: I didn't wear this for years and then busted it out again Jan 16 and it's amazing. It has aged incredibly well and now I'm all about this.

This is a whole lot like Snow White on me. It feels like the same sort of sweet vanilla snow, except with a hint of evergreen hiding in the back. I'm hoping that as this ages that more of the evergreen comes out though. ETA: I slathered it this morning for the full experience and I have to say I like this a whole lot more than snow white. The mint and touch of pine really help ground the sweetness. Liking this one a whole lot now!

In the bottle this is amaaazing. Smells exactly like marzipan and wine. It morphs a fair amount once it's on. At first there's lots of almond, and then lots of mulled wine, and then after 30 minutes or so I get an awesome perfectly blended warm and sweet spicy wine. It reminds me a tiny bit of a paired down Tintagel. So happy I got this one!

Mint! Lots of mint at first. As it dries I get sort of a soft floral and snow notes. I don't know how something can smell fluffy, but this smells like fluffy drifts of snow to me. This is really nice! Definitely a keeper!

First on it's definitely soap, with sandalwood lurking the back. As it dries I get more ambergris (which is what I was hoping for), but by then it's turned to mists and is barely noticeable if you don't shove your nose into your wrist. Not a huge hit with me at the moment, but I'm going to hold onto the imp and see how it ages.

Very pretty! Dry roses with a hint of smoke and sweetness. I was expecting this to be darker, but it's actually pretty light! It reminds me of some rose product I used as a kid, but I can't place it. It doesn't have a lot of throw, and by the end of the day it's just a whisper of sweet smoke. I'm glad I got this, I think I'll wear it a lot this fall.

This is beautiful on me. It smells very soft and clean and creamy. I get musk and vanilla primarily with some soft and sweet (almost tropical) florals in the background. I know I've smelled some similar bpal scents but I can't quite put my finger on which ones. It reminds me a tiny bit of distant cousin of Snow White maybe? I wish this was a more helpful review! But in short, sweet musky vanilla without being at all cloying. I haven't had a whole lot of luck with other vanilla scents, but I think I'm going to get a lot of wear out of this one. ETA: I've worn this one a ton now and it's on of my all time faves. It's what I always hoped that the Lace scents would be like on me. Nommy vanilla goodness. ADDED March 8: Sweet vanilla and musk with some bright florals in the background! This is "my" moon so I'm glad it worked out so nice! I smelled another bottle at a M&S and it smelled totally different though (almost herbal), so I think there is a batch difference with this one.

This is much smokier than anticipated. I was hoping this would be sort of like a cousin of M. de Merteuil, and it kind of sort of is. But maybe like a third cousin twice removed. Despite both having vetiver and peach, Lamia is much less sharp and much less haughty. In the bottle it's sort of a cold floral. Once I put it on I get smoke and peach. It's surprisingly sweet actually. I think can detect the tartness of the currant as well. Coconut comes out more in the dry down and the peach starts to fade a bit on me. It's very muted, and a little bit like a second skin kind of scent. I agree with others that it's a slathering kind of scent. It didn't blow me away right away like some scents do, but I love how understated it is. I think I'm going to get a lot of wear out of this one!

If I didn't know better I could have sworn there was leather in here, maybe it's because my nose has come to associate a lot of these notes with leather scents. First on I think I'm getting a lot of tonka and benzoin. It's a little bit medicinal maybe, with a hint of sweetness. I would definitely agree that it's a unisex scent and I think some ladies could really pull this off. I'm not 100 percent sure I can pull it off though. Somehow it reminds of the smell you get from fresh ballpoint pen ink. I think I need to spend more time getting to know this one. I might end up loving it, but at the moment I'm not quite sure where I stand on it. I think this would make a good scent for a night out at the club rather than a daytime scent.

This smells almost like cake on me when first put it on. Not sure how all these come together to mean cake to me but they do. I think I'm smelling mainly amber and bergamot. Maybe a hint of the snow note? It's definitely far from being the dominant note, so everyone who fears the snow notes should be good with this one I think. I couldn't pinpoint olive blossom to save my life but I'm assuming I'm getting that as well. It's a very muted, soft scent. I don't even know what to classify this as. It's really not a floral on me. If I had to compare it to anything it would be The Antikythera Mechanism, but maybe my nose it playing tricks on me since there are no notes in common. Overall, I really like this one! It's very understated and I think this would make a great every day scent. ETA: this is definitely moving into my top 5 scents. Gorgeous!

This is such a beautiful, delicate scent. Someone above said dreamy and I think that's spot on. Behind a veil of mist are wildflowers and grass, and sweetness all perfectly blended together. Normally I can't do sweet scents, but this so soft and there's nothing sticky or sharp in it. It's really like no other scent I've tried to date. It's a definite bottle for me!

At first I'm really put off by this. I don't even know what it smells like, Jasmine maybe? This makes no sense, but it sort of reminds of the scent of a car that's been sitting under the sun. After it dries it improves a ton on me, and I actually rather like it. It's a soft incense with floral undertones (the Jasmine isn't at all as amped now) and something sweet. It's very mellow and sort of a second skin kind of scent. I like this a lot dry but can't stand it wet, so I'm not quite sure what to think overall.

I get primarily ylang ylang from this one, with maybe a tint bit of rose and a healthy amount of myrrh. Unfortunately I don't much care for ylang ylang... the drydown has more rose in it, but it's still not doing much for me. If you like ylang ylang though I'd think this would be a winner.

Ooh this is really nice! I never would have tried it based on the notes alone, but than you frimpage! This is actually very light and sort of masculine at the same time. It's remarkably sexy and definitely a second skin sort of scent. I think I may need to get a bottle of this one!

I was a little bit hesitant about this one because I've not been crazy about narcissus in other scents, but I'm so glad I took a chance on this one! I also really love all the snow and winter scents and this is just perfect. I haven't tried the above mentioned ones, but it reminds me a tiny bit of some of the notes in Knecht Ruprecht (sp?). It's really evocative of a cold snowy night. I don't understand how it can smell like snow, but my nose definitely confirms that it does. If you like the snowy scents I think you'll like this one!

This is really pretty. Clearly a floral, but there is something underneath the lilies that really does sort of smell like varnished floors, there's just a hint of oak and then something a bit sharp (smells like shellac I think?). It sounds a bit weird but it's really nice. In the bottle it smells exactly like I remember wood shop smelling (more the chemicals than the wood though), but once it tries it morphs to mainly floral. The lilies and the varnish compliment each other really well oddly enough.
