This is Snake Charmer sweetened up on my skin. I was also reminded of Midnight Kiss upon sniffing it in the bottle. I LOVE this blend and can see this only getting better with age!

How is it that I hadn't reviewed this before? I love dirt scents and Graveyard Dirt is EXACTLY spot on. It smells of fresh, recently rained on, dirt! I am amazed at how true this scent is to the real thing! LOVE IT.

This one reminds me a lot of my beloved Mouse's Long and Sad Tale, only Agape has more of a fruity floral note in there. These two scents could be cousins for sure.
-
What can I say? The description is spot on. It smells exactly like candy corn! Doesn't morph on me in the least. I've gotten a few compliments with this one!!

This one has great throw. I received a testable sniffie and as soon as it hits my skin, it amps the sugary pastry and I smell like a jelly filled donut! While I like the scent, I don't really feel the need for a bottle of it.

I love me some grassy scents and this is definitely one of those. In the bottle I smell fresh cut grass with a hint of what I suspect would be the leaves. Unfortunately, most of Beth's grassy scents turn to pure soap on me. So this one gets used in my scent locket or hair when I do wear it.

Another one that doesn't morph on me at all. I smell tea and sweet lemon in the bottle and it stays that way one my skin and lasts pretty much all day!!!
-
How does Beth do it? This is spot on a candy apple from the fair to me. The tart macintosh apple, covered in that hard red candy coating. This one doesn't morph on me at all, stays exactly as it is in the bottle. LOVE IT!

I love both the 2004 and 2007 Wolf Moons, but 2011? OMG This is my favourite of them all. It smells exactly like Snow Bunny 05, but without the "girlie perfume" bit. It stays exactly the same on my skin as it smells in the bottle. No morphing at all. LOVE IT.

This reminds me of both Crypt Queen and Snake Charmer...as though the two had a baby!!!!

Sniff in the decant....sweet vanilla. yum But the second this touches my skin, instant transformation. First I get a bit of peppermint, but not too strong, the vanilla tames it down. Seconds later it's turned to Snow White and peppermint. I can detect a TINY bit of piney goodness in there after 5 minutes or so. After a good 20 minutes, this smells like Snow White and Snow Flakes got together, rolled on a bed of pine needles and had a baby! This one lasts all day on my skin too! This will DEFINITELY be a future bottle order!

I get nothing but pure red hot cinnamon hearts in this. No pumpkin, no marshmallow....nothing sweet at all. I do like it. It's just not what I expected with a name like Marshmallow Pumpkin.

Where is my order? What is Click N Ship? How long does this take?
Myotis replied to Snow White's topic in BPAL FAQs
It was ordered on the 4th Dec and I suppose the USPS hasn't even picked it up yet. It's the 30th today... :( It was my first order... That's normal for a CNS. It's stating when the Lab printed out the shipping label for your package. The USPS would have picked it up long before today. I'm sure it's on the way to you. -

I hope so, mine still hasn't shown up. Glad to hear yours arrived though. So there's still hope! ETA: FINALLY! My bottles arrived today! 3 weeks from ship date. Poky Canada Post! -

Yep, that's when mine went out as well. Yikes, I hope customs isn't holding stuff up and messing with our precious smellies! So much for Priority mail! -

I got my CNS just over 2 weeks ago and still no package at my door. In the past it's only taken about 5 business days to reach me. At this rate, I'm not going to have it for Christmas!! -
I don't know what heliotrope smells like on its own, but that must be all I get in this. I get no dirt, no blood. On me it smells like powdery cheap men's cologne with a hint of sweetness to it. I sooooo wanted to love this. Why oh why won't you come out to play with me dirt?

I want to smell like dirt! Dirt, Earth, Soil recommendations
Myotis replied to septima_pica's topic in Recommendations
Ahhh the dirt. Me loves the dirt. I bought the scent called Mother Earth from The Body Perfumery and it smells identical of Bpal's Graveyard dirt. I got it in shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, lotion and perfume oil (before Graveyard Dirt was re-released). Dirt and fresh cut grass are my two favourite scents! I haven't tried Yorick or Badger yet. Guess I need to edit my wishlist!!! -
I tried this on without knowing the scent description of it. I could have sworn it was screaming green tea on me. I can't stand rose scents and I didn't even pick up on it until AFTER I looked it up. Now it smells all rose (and screaming rose at that!) on me and I had to wash it off. It was strong enough to cause a headache within minutes of it touching my skin. Yikes! The leather didn't really show up on my skin. Just pure, screaming, headache-inducing rose. hahahaha

I was so excited to get my paws on a bottle of this! My very first prototype bottle!! In the bottle it smells like Graveyard Dirt with a sweet/boozy undertone. On me, this morphs a bit. It's a spicy wood and moist dirt. The boozy undertone is gone...thankfully. This is what I would imagine an expensive wooden coffin to smell like after it's been in the moist dirt long enough for the wood to start to rot. The dirt note presents itself the most on my skin and that is what I love the most. LOVE THIS!

In the bottle this is musky banana with a hint of chili pepper to my nose. On me however, this morphs into a musky apple pineapple scent with a hint of chili and lots of sugar cane. I don't know why I took so long to get a bottle of this!

Ahhhhhhhhh! I knew I was going to love this! Definitely the scent of a veggie garden...perhaps after the rain when everything smells fresh. I smell a lightly dirt covered squash laying amongst the tomato vines. . I want to layer this with Graveyard Dirt!!!! This is incredible!
-
Upon first sniff from the bottle, I thought "Oh crap, boozy caramel." Caramel usually goes VERY boozy on me. Then I dabbed some on............ At first I got a caramel/hazelnut kind of scent, with a hint of strawberry. Five minutes later, the caramel/hazelnut has gone. It's all strawberry candy...like a strawberry version of Bloody Mary. Ten minutes later and it's VERY sweet strawberry candy. Infact, it reminds me of the scent of the original Strawberry Shortcake doll in the 80's (Minus the smell of the plastic doll itself). Definitely a keeper! This is AWESOME!

This one starts off very similar to Cloister Graveyard in the Snow on me. Very icy green with a hint of earth. About an hour later however, it morphs into something incredible. I get a musky sort of cold snow blend with a hint of something floral and slightly sweet. LOVE IT!

AHA! I knew I'd find this question! I was wondering the same thing. Take for example: DIONYSIA: Wild plum, pomegranate, raspberry, Siamese benzoin, plum blossom, patchouli, frankincense, and mahogany Would this mean, that perhaps the 3 first fruits listed, would be the most prominent I would smell in the bottle? Reason I ask is, because I'm hoping for a mostly fruity, yet patchouli based scent out of this. Something a bit like Crypt Queen, but more fruity if you will. And is the percentage of Wild plum note larger than say the mahogany in it? Like the first poster said, first ingredients on food labels, is what there is physically more of in the product. Wild Plum would be a TOP note? and mahogany would be the very bottom (or least detected) note? Am I asking for trade secrets that I'd have to die for after being told? Or is this question really not answerable due completely to skin chemistries and differences in scent interpretations amongst people?
