If your top 5 scents are... Then try these!
RobberBaroness replied to Ella LaRose's topic in Recommendations
My five favorites, in no particular order, are probably Snake Oil Baobhan Sith Alice Dorian Fluers du Mal What should I try next? -
It’s a little bitter. I’m afraid nothing gentle ever grows in this land, Edith – You need a measure of bitterness – not to be eaten. To survive… This is an evil old lady perfume. I don’t mean that as an insult! It’s very evocative of beauty and resentment, something once glamorous that has turned into poison. Miss Havisham or Norma Desmond would wear this sort of perfume.

I want to love this scent so much- it starts out smoky and warm and mysterious- but after any time at all, it turns to bubblegum on me. I don't know why or where that comes from, but it's not what I want from a scent called Gothic Horror!

Hunting for the ultimate _____ blend
RobberBaroness replied to fatalbellydance's topic in Recommendations
I really really want the ultimate Rose + Chocolate scent! I suppose I could layer, but that's process I'm still trying to figure out. -
I wore Alice at my wedding, and got a lot of compliments from my bridesmaids! There was something simultaneously comforting and flattering about the way it felt on me.

In the bottle: Divinely evil grapefruit, ghostly and appetizing. Dry: Grapefruit, rain, wet grass and flowers. I love this scent more every time I wear it.

In the bottle: Very complex and layered. The chocolate and red wine is a great combination, with a floral background. Seems like a date night perfume. Dry: Chocolate, wine and white florals. I keep thinking how sophisticated this perfume smells, almost too grown-up or classy for me!

In the bottle: Soft and floral at first, but then something rich and mysterious hits that I’m still trying to identify. Dry: Increasingly foody, which I see as a good thing. Like a vanilla and chocolate cake with hints of strawberry. If I could eat this scent, I would.

In the bottle: Oo, fresh fruit! A little like Alice, but more outdoorsy. I'm a sucker for pink grapefruit, and that's what I'm getting now. Dry: Banana. It's the weirdest thing, but this whole scent has turned to powdery banana. It's almost a candy smell, with some hints of musk. The longer I wear it, the less I like it.

A light, pure scent: white musk, green tea, aloe and lemon. In the bottle: Fresh and tart! Nowhere near as creepy as its name would suggest. Dry: The lemon has overtaken everything else, in a sour, cleaning-product way. It's not a scent I dislike, but not really one I would choose to be surrounded with.
