    Kyoto

There was something faintly medicinal upon initial application. I thought it was almond, but since it's not listed... *shrug* On the drydown I got plenty of jasmine, which I unfortunately don't like. Is cherry blossom supposed to smell like jasmine? Now that it's dry the jasmine's turned into soap. The sandalwood's gotten much stronger though, which I like. The soap's a little off-putting though. Oh wait it seems to have gone away, leaving lovely sandalwood. Yay. Unfortunately I'm probably still not gonna use this much, the eventual sandalwood isn't enough for me to wait out the jasmine and soap.

    Belle Vinu

Fresh peaches was the note most dominant for me. The other notes are present, but blended so well I couldn't tell what was what. This scent evokes sunshine for me - and not the blazing tropical sun we get here, but a softer, gentler warm sunshine. It's also a very homely sent in a good way. Not typically "perfume-y", but a comforting daytime scent. I like it.

    Ah I see. Thanks!

    Famine

Famine's definitely on the masculine side, and has the same sort of slinky dark power Crowley has. If I sniff too closely initially, it's overpowering but it calms down quickly. After a few minutes it doesn't spike through my nose and is instead a soft incense scent. Frankincense is dominant, but the lilac (and possibly white musk? I'm not sure) makes it soft enough to be unisex. I love the faint whiff of tobacco Famine is releasing as I type.

    Zombi

I saw the package just as I was about to leave home, and so was in a bit of a hurry. I dabbed on Zombi (a frimp) because it was the first imp I saw that I knew would be ok on me. I applied more than I usually do (3 dips of the wand, usually only 2), but still couldn't smell much. Zombi sticks really close to my skin. I admit I'm not particularly fond of rose scents, so while it's pretty and I really like the earthy aspects of Zombi, I suspect this won't get much use. I'm glad to have an imp of it, but I won't be getting a bottle.

I got my CnS on the 7th of November, and until the package arrived today the tracking status on the site did not change. I wasn't worried, but I was starting to wonder when my package would actually get shipped out. Is this common for international CnS?

    Yggdrasil

I've been going through my old imps, and Yggdrasil was in the Do Not Like section. I can't remember what it was like when it was fresh, but in the imp now it's smells completely like herbs. Green, bitter herbs that I really don't like. I applied it anyway because I had wonderful results with aged Dorian, and wow. The herbs go away very quickly, leaving behind a light, clean woody scent that I love. It's so familiar and comforting, but I can't place the scent. Whatever it may be, I love it now. I'm definitely going to retry all my old imps.

    Dorian

What a change ageing makes. When I first got it, Dorian was nothing but sugar and vanilla on me. Now that it's been sitting in my drawer for more than a year, that tooth-rotting sweetness has let up, and Dorian is now gorgeous musk and vanilla. Much more appropriate, and wonderfully wearable. Being a pack rat pays off.
