Well, this one demanded to be noticed. It went on as screaming lily at first. Wet, that's pretty much all it is. When it dries there is a fruitiness that I think is some kind of currant with a now quieter lily. That's really all I get. It does feel pretty commanding and lilies don't typically do that for me. They are usually very soft and pleasant. I think the fruit note that I really think is red currant is just pushing it to be louder. Not a big fan.

I really dig this scent. It's fresh, sea air. Just like sitting along the coast. Both wet and dry it's a warm breeze over the sea. I get very little, if any, leather. The spices is what I'm thinking is making it smell like a warm breeze. I'm getting a little musk, but I wouldn't call it rough. It's more rugged because it's not aggressive or sharp. This does feel a little masculine, but not enough to turn me away from it. I can't wait to wear it this summer.

Very strong frankincense. It does kind of remind me of the times we actually went to church when I was young, though it's missing something. It's slightly sweet and not particularly smoky. It mostly just smells like frankincense being stored in a wooden box waiting to be used. It's nice enough, but I'm not crazy about it.

This is such a warm, cozy scent. Usually one of the given notes isn't detectable by my nose in any given scent due to the strength of the others. In this one, I really get everything. When it's wet, it's a little more musky and leathery. Once it dries, though the grasses, woods, and amber step up to make themselves known. The leather and musk never go away, but provide a nice base. It's like laying out on a pelt in a prairie. It's really nice and comforting.

I really like this one quite a bit. It's mostly coconut and iris with a suggestion of white musk. The coconut doesn't seem like the suntan lotion variety. It's more like a creamy coconut dessert, though I wouldn't say that it's a foodie perfume. The iris keeps it away from that. It feels like it wants to be super sweet and strong, but the white musk keeps it from being overbearing. And I never get and hazelnut at all. I really adore this scent.

This one starts off wet as a very sweet berry tea scent. it's soft, sweet, and smells like a delicious cup of tea. AS it dries, though, it gets more herbal. The sage becomes much more evident as it dries. Sage is one of those notes that either plays really well or utterly ruins a scent for me. I'm relieved it's the former in this case. Once fully dry it's mostly berries and sage, with a suggestion of tea. It kind of reminds me of berry pie filling before it's baked. It's nice, but I wish the tea stayed around and that it's a little more potent all around. It disappears in a little over an hour on me.

It kind of smells like collecting herbs in the early spring. It's a little chilly, and a little earthy, but it's mostly just green. Maybe a little basil and mint, but there are a lot of other green herbs lending their scent. I just get those two for sure. There is an earthy patchouli base to this, but it keeps itself in check. The vegetation is what takes center stage on me. That being said it wouldn't be the first thing I reached for if I wanted a green scent, but it's nice in its own right.

Cherry scents historically don't jive with me, but I'll try anything that crosses my threshold. Unfortunately, this one doesn't work out. The clove portion is lovely, but the dragon's blood makes the cherry smell even more like cough syrup that it usually does on me. It's a spicy cough syrup, which is a bummer but not necessarily a surprise. I'm really glad to have tried it, but I'll be passing the imp along to someone who can do cherries more readily than me.

Well, the mandarin sure isn't shy! That's mostly what I get here. It's a very potent mandarin with some opium keeping it company. The opium does help keep the citrus from screaming, and I think I can detect the sandalwood a bit keeping the whole thing glued together. I'm glad to not be getting any vanilla, because it can do some seriously weird things to a scent for me. I'm kind of disappointed that I don't get any lily of the valley either. It's why I wanted to give this one a chance, because it's one of my favorite notes. It ends up okay, it's just not what I was expecting. I still find it very pretty.

Heady, lovely swamp blooms. It's mostly magnolia, but there are some other types that I can't readily identify. Maybe a kind of jasmine or osmanthus might be giving it a suggestion of citrus without actually being fruity. The actual swamp part of this is pretty low-key for me. This scent borders on aquatic, but seems to stay floral throughout. It doesn't change and lasts forever. Love it!

This one throws me a little because I usually amp sweetness in anything, so I was expecting to mostly get honey and cherries. That's almost the opposite of what I got. I do smell the cherries, but they aren't the overtly sweet or candied kind I'm used to. The vetiver is really keeping a tight hold on all the sweets and making it incredibly smoky instead. It is a vetiver/cherry mix on me with a little clove and musk hanging out to keep them company. Cherry is usually cough syrup, and it isn't doing that here thank goodness. It really is a spicy, smokey cherry for me. Since it's a pretty sexy cherry that actually works, I'd call it a keeper.

Beautiful pine and juniper! There is a loamy undertone to it, but it's far from off-putting. It's a bright green forest. I don't seem to be getting any obvious patchouli, which is fine. It's not a note I look for, but I don't hate it. It just doesn't seem to be doing much on me here. I also don't seem to be getting any floral notes either. It really is just all juniper, pine, and dirt. I actually prefer it that way. It stands out, but isn't oppressive. it's a win for me!

I get a lot of fresh peaches with this. That's what I'm getting the most, but the rose is pretty potent here as well. It's definitely a fruity floral to my nose even if I do think there are some subtle aquatic notes supporting it. They just sit in the back and let the peach and roses shine. It does strongly remind me of a clear spring day. I like this and I think it will serve me well during the spring!

I had a mint for a second and it took a turn to become a herbal rose. Like a rose bush planted in the middle of an herb garden. It's a touch spicy, but only a touch. It's mostly just a mild, dry rose. It kind of becomes more of a traditional perfume as it dries and sits on the skin. It doesn't change much and lasts a pretty long time, but it's not my thing.

I love this scent a ton. It starts with a pretty powerful grapefruit, but it quickly settles into a crisp citrus tea. Once fully dry it stays in that grapefruit tea range with a little bit of a bite from the ginger. Not too much, just enough to keep things interesting. I think I'm getting the apple blossom, too, but it's not distinct enough to know without looking at the notes to tell what it is. It's kind of generic soft floral hovering in the back, but it works pretty nicely. Like enjoying tea out in the garden. It's truly lovely.

I only tested for scent and not for intent. It's very cinnamon and clove for me with a suggestion of some kind of fruit. It might be apple or cherry if I had to guess, but I'm not 100% sure. It reminds me of the candles people buy to smell like pie instead of the real thing. It is very consistent and doesn't change for what it's worth. It's not bad, but it really isn't my thing for wearing. I may hold on to the imp to test for intent another day. If I do, I'll report back.

In the imp I got way more patch and vetiver, but on my skin it's mostly dragon's blood backed my red musk just to intensify the redness. I tend to amp anything sweet so the more fruity dragon's blood is standing out. There is some patchouli and vetiver trying to do more than ply in the background, but it just isn't happening. I get zero cinnamon. It's a very commanding blend and has a kind of aggressiveness to it, but I wouldn't be afraid to wear it to the right event.
-
I get very burnt woods. Maybe pine, but it could be a smattering of others. I just know it started off as pine lumber and then burns pretty quickly. It's not a campfire so much as the smoldering remains, only slightly less ashy. It lasts a while so that's nice, but it does stay pretty close to my skin. If it had a little more throw I'd probably be more interested in getting more, but for now an imp will do. I'll happily hold on to it, because it is a evocative and nice scent.

This is really quite lovely! It reminds me of a warming tea that has rosehip and plum in it. It's light, fruity, and is generally a joy to wear. I never really get any of the sandalwood, but the incense lingers in the background a it. Just enough to give the scent some depth. The plum blossom does remind me of Kitsune-Tsuki, but where that is a little more upbeat and fun Kaidan is a little more serious to my nose. Kaidan is more reserved and steady. It really is a pretty scent!

Swift as Light, Beauteous in Color, Charming in Song

It's a very bright, creamy floral. I mostly get magnolia, neroli, and honey. The musk was the first thing out of the gate, but disappeared as quickly as it arrived. It really does feel like a magnolia was just bathed in honey, with neroli on the side. I typically try to stay away from mallow anything because it ends up way too sweet, but it is behaving quite nicely. I can see why so many look to it for creaminess. It really is just a truly soft and sweet floral for the rest of the time. It's feminine to be sure and stays pretty close to the skin. It's not something I'd wear a whole lot because florals aren't really my go-to, but this is really beautiful and will fill that need nicely. -
After the comparisons to Gnome I was quite curious about this. I get way more ginger out of Gnome than this, but I can see the comparison. Fake Specimen Jar reminds me a ton of artisinal sparkling lemonade. It's really just like I opened a bottle in the middle of a hot summer day. It's fizzy and refreshing, but not over the top sweet like lemonade can be. I can dig it and I'll probably be getting a lot of use out of it this summer.

After sitting for about a month and a half, it's all sweet candied apricots and oranges being bullied by a medicinal lavender. I'm used to lavender being a nice, soothing component, but something about this mix kind of makes it sit askew. It's like this for a good ten minutes or so. The sharpness does quiet itself, but no matter how long I wear it I can't fully come around to this scent. When it's nice, it's stunning. Deep fruit notes and lovely lavender amber on the upswing. When it's not so nice it's artificial, powdery sweets. It has a pretty reasonable throw, which isn't usually the case on me so I wish I smelled the former more often. I may just have to come to terms with the fact it might not be for my goofy chemistry. I think I'll store it for a little while longer and see how much it changes. Hopefully it will make up its mind so that I can make up mine.

In the imp it's beautifully sweet amber. It starts at all almond when it's applied, though. It does relent after about five minutes and the amber I can smell in the imp. When it dries it does manage to balance itself between amber, almond, and myrrh. It's sweet resins all the way, maybe a touch powdery. It's a warm scent for sure. I'm not usually fond of almond, but I find this to work for me.

This smells just like the peach ring candies. That's it. It lasts forever on me and is pretty much a peach ring single note the whole time. It's a fun, fruity scent that will be nice in the summer.

It's a nice, dry scent. It's mostly patchouli on me with a pleasant woodiness. It doesn't change over time for me, It pretty consistently stays a slightly spicy patch with some depth added by the sandalwood. I don't get much outright frankincense, but I'd bet it helps round out the edges. It's a pretty simple scent that does have a slight edge of "I'm dangerous." I'll be happy to hold on to my imp, but it's not something I'd reach for often.
