    Stimulating Sassafras Strengthener

Sassafras, vanilla extract, oak leaf, CO2 butter extract, and onycha. It's absolutely similar to a root beer style drink, though I think it actually smells a bit like birch beer instead. It's not as syrupy as most root beers that are widely available, which helps put in more into the birch beer camp for me. It has that bit of fizziness and a bit of vanilla, almost like a birch beer float. I really enjoy it because it has such a fun energy.

    Spellbound

Red musk and red roses. It's mostly a floral scent as it's what's right up front. The red musk really just gives the roses some backbone to rest on. I don't think this one works for me as the roses smell as if they are starting to age and decay. I'm chalking it up to weird skin chemistry and sending it to swaps.

    Shoggoth

Beautiful, bright citrus floral. I get a nice helping of lime but I can tell there are other citrus notes at work. It's a nice gentle floral that lets the other notes shine, too. There's some light musk and coconut, too. I think that this is blended so well that the whole is much stronger than the sum of its parts. While I do think it's useful to pick apart what notes I'm getting for review, it really wears best when enjoying it as a whole. There are no notes that jump out and are particularly distinct when just enjoying it. I just think it's very cohesive and just creates something uniquely pretty.

    Shango

I genuinely can't pick out any single fruit. It just smells like a freshly opened bag of Skittles. It's overwhelmingly fruity and very sweet, and it lasts all day. If you think you might want to enjoy smelling like the fruitiest of Skittles, this is the one to try.

    Sea of Glass

It's such a pretty aquatic. It does give the sense that it's shimmering and is bright. I get a touch of saltiness and some moss. It doesn't strike me as cologne-y as some aquatics can go. I think it's very fresh and feels a bit airy as well as watery. Like a fresh sea breeze in summer.

    Somnus

This is my perfect sleep blend. I'm not that crazy about lavender, but it works here. I think there's also some jasmine and a touch of lilac to it as well. I don't wear it out and about, though I think I could if it were a high stress day. It's very dreamy and does help put me right to sleep. I adore it.

    Sed Non Satiata

So, this one was weird. I wasn't expecting a lot because myrrh almost never works for me, but I don't think it was the culprit this time. This one almost smells like spoiled milk or something that has gone off. It's really weird considering the notes. As far as I know, everything except the myrrh works pretty well with me. I wonder how much of a difference there is in dark body musk versus skin musk. It's the only thing I could really think of that might be causing this funk. I can tell there are notes underneath it, but my nose won't let me stay close to investigate. It just recoils. This is a scrubber for me.

    The Scales of Deprivation

My nose had a bit f trouble with this one. I couldn't pinpoint any notes, even when I checked the description. I think I can pick out the lavender, but as soon as I get a whiff, it changes and goes away. After it dried, it finally settled on cleaning product. So whatever is going on, it's not for me. Chemistry is weird.

    Sin

So, I put this on and the significant otter asked where I had gotten some Big Red gum. There is a lot of cinnamon for sure, but I think it's tempered by sandalwood. It just happens to throw nothing but the cinnamon. It just doesn't work for me I guess.

    Sherlock Holmes

It's a very clean scent indeed. It's a little sweet to be sure, but there is something holding it back from going to sweet tarts for me. I'm sure it's the tobacco and wood from the pipe keeping it steady, because they come out more as it dries. It's not a particularly bold scent, but I think it gives the wearer some gravitas. It might be the character association, but it does feel like a quiet powerhouse might wear this. I'm a fan.

    Sudha Segara

This smells absolutely delicious. It's a creamy ginger honey that's sweet, but not over the top. It's almost like a candied ginger slice. I think the milk is the weakest part in the mix, but I'm kind of okay with this. I'll happily let honey and ginger be the stars!

    Sloth

Vetiver and myrrh both work poorly for me most of the time, but I want to try everything I come across so here we go. I'm not really surprised that I'm not a fan of this one. It's a very smoky vetiver that amps to the sky for me and there is a powdery note underneath it, so the myrrh is doing what it does. Not for me, but glad to try it.

    Squirting Cucumber

Super juicy and fresh cucumbers! It's like picking them out of the garden and cutting them open for a salad in the summer. It's very crisp, fresh, and just generally refreshing. It also is a little grassy so it doesn't really feel like visiting a spa for me, but just being in the garden on a sunny day. I get to enjoy it quite a bit when it's warm. Even the significant otter enjoys wearing it sometimes, which is a feat.

    Snooty Rose

This is so lovely. It may have rose in the name, but it's not really about the rose on me. I actually get more plum and bergamot with a little rose to give it a traditional floral edge. It's not stuffy or snooty to me. It feels very approachable and fruity. It almost reminds me of a plum and rosehip tea. It's a surprise win for me!

    Santa Muerte

I was hoping that this would work because I like cactus and cactus flower scents. Vetiver amps on me though, so I was a little wary. It turns out that the vetiver just drowns out everything for a while. Eventually some rose peeks out, but it's the powdery kind. There is nary a sign of cactus flower so off to swaps it goes.

    The Sea Foams Milk

It's pretty much what it says on the tin. It's a salty sea spray with a bit of creaminess. It comes close to some of those ocean candles, but the cream keeps it from going that far and keeps it nice and classy. It has pretty nice throw and lasts all day. It's not complicated, but it is a winner.

    Rogue

It started out as a rugged and worn leather, but it didn't stay that way. It's a shame, because it was really nice. It somehow got a bit minty. The leather isn't completely gone. but it's really far behind this sweetness. Maybe it's not so much sweet mint, but a sweet grass. I'm not overly familiar with hemp, but I'm willing to bet that's it. The hemp and rosin making a sweet grass. I like it well enough, but I miss the leather.

    The Rose

It's a very plain and simple red rose. That's not to say that it's a bad thing. If you are looking for a straight rose, it's hard to go wrong with this one. It's blossom, stem, and leaves all together. It is very wearable and just stays beautiful and fresh. Absolutely lovely.

    The Reaper and the Flowers

This is a little bland for my taste. It's lilies and rose to my nose and nothing else. It's a perfectly fine middle-of-the-road floral, but it isn't anything special for me. If someone is looking for a straight-forward floral for their collection this would be a good one. It's pretty long lasting and is very traditional so it's worth giving a go.

    Rapunzel

It's not often that you come across an angel's trumpet dominant scent, but that's absolutely what this is for me. Orris is giving it some of a gleaming quality. It smells like everything is just sugared. Sugared florals aren't my thing, so while it's pretty I think I'll pass.

    Rakshasa

Very warm patchouli and sandalwood with a touch of rose. It reminds me of the hippy shops with all the fresh incense and oils. The incense doesn't feel too overwhelming, but the rose is getting stronger. In fact, after 30 minutes of wear I almost exclusively get a slightly powdery rose. I'm a little sad because it was a beautiful sandalwood, it was nice an warm but the rose just took over. Boo.

    Robin Goodfellow

I think I'm going to need a locket for this one. When its wet, it's mossy woods after a rain so everything is supple and green. But when it dries the sage goes a bit soapy for me. Sage is one of those hit or miss notes for me, and this time it missed. It's not awful, but I really adore this when first applied. It was such a near perfect forest for me.

    Rocking-Horse-Fly

It's freshly planed planks of wood with a bit of the oil for when it's a finished piece. It is pretty nostalgic for me, and while I'm not typically in the mood for smelling like a workshop this surely does the trick for when I would.

    Roses, Pearls, and Diamonds

This is a very feminine rose perfume. It smells very dainty and delightful. I don't think I get any coconut at all, but I do get a beautiful musk to keep the soft roses company. It's bright and smooth. If I ever want to reach for something that makes me want to just wear something with all of the frills and twirl, this is the one.

    Ravenous

Orange blossom is all I get from this when it's freshly applied. Drying reveals the patch, though. The notes switch strengths, the patch is the strongest note after some wear. It's still sort of sweet, but it's definitely more earthy and woody. I wish the blossom stayed around in a greater capacity. I think it's nice, but I won't need more than my imp.
