Bubblegum lotus and medicinal lavender is weird. It's not entirely unpleasant, but I can't wrap my head around it. The lavender does take a step back as it dries, but that pretty much leaves the super sweet lotus. It also kind of smells like peach rings? Bubblegum peach rings in my final verdict. I'm mildly confused testing this out, but seeing as I'm not a fan of it I'm just going to step back and not think about it.

I get mostly jasmine from my imp. There is a little lily and a touch of vanilla, but for me it's almost entirely a full-time jasmine scent. I was hoping some of the clove might have stuck around, or any of the other warmer scents, but it's a straight floral. it's not bad, but I think it would get more love in a different home.

    Carnal

It reminds me of these foaming fizzy candies I used to have as a kid. It's really bright, intense orange for me. It has oodles of throw and staying power! It feels slightly artificial, but only because it's so intense. I wasn't really expecting to think too much of this because I'm not really a fan of fig, and oranges are probably my least sought-after citrus. I think this scent is a lot of fun and I think it will be perfect for the summer.

    O

The scent of sexual obsession, slavery to sensual pleasure, and the undercurrent of innocence defiled utterly. Amber and honey with a touch of vanilla. Vanilla and I are not particularly good friends. We tolerate each other if there are enough notes to create a buffer, but with just three notes there is no hope of peace. All I get is an overly sweet vanilla due in part to the honey, and part to my chemistry. But I really just smell like the over-perfumed vanilla candles they sell at home goods stores. It's a shame, too, because honey works so well for me and when it breaks through, it's beautiful.

I wasn't really expecting sweet berries from this one. I got zero woods and zero herbs neither wet nor dry. It just smells like a big bowl of berries that were just picked and washed in cold water. It's really strange for me. I was hoping for the woodsy scent a lot of others got. Curse my sweetness amping chemistry!

It smells like the woods in the summer. There might be some stray wildflowers in bloom, but this is mostly the dense foliage and undergrowth. It's very herbal without being medicinal. Dry, it's mostly herbs drying in the sun. I think this would be a great scent for when you're dying to be outdoors in nature, but there's a foot of snow on the ground.

    Hanerot Halalu

It's a very soft-spoken scent. It's a very smooth beeswax, which I'd attribute to the olive oil. It smells like a candle that was recently burned, but the wax is already starting to solidify. It's not very smoky, though. I really like it. Even though it doesn't have great throw, it lasts a long while and I was noticing it all day.

    Honey Snowballs

This one seems pretty quiet on me. It smells bitter cold. The honey isn't particularly sweet, either. There's just enough so you can tell it is honey, but the cold kind of freezes the rest up. Like if you froze honey itself, it dulls the smell until it thaws. And this does seem to "thaw." As it warms up on the skin, it gets sweeter and stronger, and that ice cold "melts" away. It still doesn't have magnificent throw, though.

Well, it turned into some undeniable baked goods. I mostly get clove and a cakey note. I was looking forward to the pipe smoke and tea, but I guess it's just not to be. It is a touch smoky, but not enough for me to call it a tobacco scent on me. It does smell like a delicious spice cake, but it's just not something I'd like to smell like.

This is such a beautiful honeysuckle scent. The extra boost of sweetness from the honey is a great touch. There is a little bit of the water lily, but it's not really floral. It's more watery and leafy. After about an hour of wear, though, I get a lot of sage and not quite so much sweetness. It's still nice, but I miss the honey.

    Frostbitten Dorian

It's chilly, sweet Dorian. Wet, it does smell like the sweet snow of Snow White and the suggestion of tea. The Dorian comes out much more as it dries for me. It's not as biting cold as I was expecting. I think it's like the tea ice cream that specialty stores sometimes have. It's a little chilly and way more sweet than just tea in a mug. It balances between the snow and Dorian pretty well for me. It's only been settling from the mail for a day, but if it stays at least this lovely it's an absolute winner.

    Ogygia

It's fresh and herbal for me. It borders on being soapy without making that final push, which I'm grateful for. I get some cedar and cypress mingled with parsley and sage. All the potential soapiness wears down once dry and leaves a very soft woodsy scent behind. It's very nice and I think it will be wonderful to wear come springtime.

… Her ofrenda is thick with honey and herbs of love, passion and desire. Right off the bat it smelled like those sweet strawberry hard candies. Very, very sweet and syrupy. Thank goodness the weird fruitiness dies down, but I'm still not convinced I enjoy this scent. There's honey for sure, but there are some soapy herbs and a little bit a medicinal edge. It's just not for me.

This is a super pretty juniper scent when it starts. There's a bit of oakmoss, but juniper is the star. But, as with all things myrrh has to crash the party and now it smells like Irish Springs soap. Why myrrh, why? Why do you do this to me? I'm going to have to try this in a scent locket because I really love it, but myrrh doesn't love me.

    Oya

It kind of smells like a plum and strawberry lollipop. It's sweet and fruity while it's wet, and it feels fun. It's not heavy or serious. Once dry, it's a bit more smoky or maybe baked. Like instead of making baked apples someone baked some plums instead. It's lightly spiced and a little warm, but still feels uplifting and fun. I enjoy this quite a bit!

All I'm getting from this is a soft blend of lavender and jasmine. It's not bad, but it is something I'd reserve for winding down as opposed to a daytime scent. There's a smidge of bergamot when it dries, but nothing too dramatically different from when it was first applied. I'll have to try it out as a sleep scent as it does feel very dreamy.

    The Obsidian Widow

I'm not crazy about any of the notes listed, but this almost works for me. I get a lot of red wine, but the patchouli makes it deeper and more wearable for me. When I sniff it, my nose doesn't immediately register the flowers. After a second of lingering, though, I notice some jasmine. It's a little heavier than the scents I usually wear, so I had my beloved sniff and he mostly just got talcum powder. Sure enough the myrrh had made everything turn to powder. That makes the decision easy, I guess.

I have a soft spot for honeysuckle so I really enjoy this. It's honeysuckle and jasmine dancing around each other. It kind of smells spiced in the same way that carnation can be a little spicy. My nose doesn't readily identify lemon in here at all. It's all floral. It evokes a warm summer evening on the porch for me. There isn't much change when it dries, maybe gets a little swampy, but I think that makes it better. Adds a little green plant matter to it. It's a beautiful blend.

    Nephilim

The lavender are the notes I most readily pick out, but the combination does not work for me. It's a little sour and quite medicinal. It's going straight to my head and I can't leave it on. It's a scrubber for me.

    Nefertiti

I wasn't sure how iris and sandalwood was going to come together, but it kind of works. The woodiness counteracts the powdery aspect from the iris. While wet, it feels pretty relaxing and almost dreamy. It's all around pretty soft, but now that it's dry the myrrh is making the whole thing go to soap for me. Myrrh, why do you do this to me?

    Namaste

Wet it's lemony sandalwood. I'm also getting some of the cedar. It's like wearing a chest of drawers that has recently been polished with a lemon cleaner. It's not much different dry and really isn't to my taste.

    Nosferatu

I don't get any dirt or earth, it's just wine for me. It's a very fruity red wine that fades pretty quickly for me. It goes from having a pretty reasonable throw to a very low throw and more of a generic red fruit scent. Passing this on.

    Morella

Iris and orris is all I get here. It's very powdery and on me it smells like my gran's linen closet where she kept all of her bathing powders, spare bandages, and similar medical supplies. It's not inherently bad, but it is powdery, sterile, and a bit old. I'd wager that it's just my chemistry acting up, but I still can't wear it.

    Mag Mell

Ginger and herbs with a touch of citrus. It smells very fresh and almost spa-like when it's freshly applied. The ginger is a little spicy which offsets the very strong sage. I don't get any rain, which is usually pretty cooling, as this scent is pretty warm. Between the ginger and the amber that comes out when it dries, this does become much cozier.

    Midnight on the Midway (2015)

This is the scent that helped me realize I like blue musk. It's smooth and doesn't overwhelm like some musks can. The big star of it is the sugared incense. It's a little sweet and a little smoky. The flowers are the least potent note in this for me, but I do think there's a bit of jasmine in that bouquet. For some reason, it reminds me of walking around a city at dusk. It's a little mysterious, a little cool, and has that touch of smoke. I like it quite a bit.
