I like: light florals such as rose, carnation, violet and lilac. Simple, sugared florals are usually nice on me. Musks, especially red musk. Tea. Most berry and fruity notes, coconut, and spices such as cinnamon and cardamom. I've noticed that I tend to prefer simple blends with only a few dominant notes. If I had to put "colors" on my favorite scents, I'd say purple and light green.
I dislike: Jasmine! Take my reviews of jasmine-heavy scents with a grain of salt, especially if it's a note that works for you. Some incense notes like to smell like an ashtray on me. Vetiver, patchouli, and woods are hit or miss; same goes for herbs. Busy and overwhelming heavy florals are not good. I want to love honey, chocolate, cocoa, and coffee notes, but my skin usually eats them, leaving a "burnt plastic" note behind.

I'm a redhead. Although I do like some spicy scents, I find most of my favorites are either fruity scents, some light florals and red musk. Bewitched or Spellbound, for example, are two of my favorites.
I don't recall seeing it mentioned, so I wanted to throw Jersey Devil into the man-friendly scent ring. My fiance and I both love it - on me the berry comes out more, but on him, it stays much more pine and woodsy. Very nice.
