I got a sample of this one. The immediate opening smells exactly like those Japanese melon candies, I get no cream or cake notes. It's a sweet/sour candy note. The brightness fades into more of a warmer melon note, but there is a hint of plastickness that emerges on me which throws the whole thing off and is preventing me from getting a full-size. Bummer!

This is a much more wearable snake oil variant, probably my favorite one to date. It is very sweet and creamy, and doesn't have the powdery bitter note I get from an (unaged) snake oil. Glad I picked up a full size bottle.

This is a lavender'ed dorian with an extra kick of lemon. The lavender wears sharp on application and it is a lot more "fresh" and good for a warm summer day. It also has the longetivity and throw of dorian on me but no Antique Lace.

Its always a bit weird with family. A scant two-hundred years old, there doesnt seem to be anything that roots Ava to her past. Her scent is utterly contemporary, and, like her personality, it is impulsive, capricious, and dangerous. Voluptuous and brittle, lovely and toxic: sheer vanilla musk with tuberose, red mandarin, and the sweet poison of white almond. This starts off as very "ripe" tuberose, buit that is mainly because I amp tuberose like crazy. That fades pretty fast though and I am left with a beautiful marshmallow floral with a hint of musk. It does smell very mainstream-y. I do not get much almond or rose.

This is a sugary dorian, but light on the lemon. It fades into regular dorian though, but more of a sugary vanilla musk and less of the complex fougere. The throw and longetivity is also less than regular dorian.

This smells very similar to Antique Lace on me, but leans more creamy and less floral. Definitely a perfumey edge to an otherwise sweet vanilla-esque scent. It also has high longevity.

This is sooo strong in the imp, smells like a warm butterscotch beer. I can actually smell the mushroom note too. Wet, it is that same beer scent but I am the pumpkin and mushroom a bit more. The dry down reminds me of this traditional Chinese medicinal liniment my grandma used on me as a child which smelled of cinnamon bark and menthol.

One of the few jasmine scents I could stand, maybe because I do not amp this one as much as I do others. Smells like a sweeter version of BPAL Cleric. I've never smelled Dragon's Blood but it's nice and cozy. It smells strong and brave, like getting a bear hug from a protector.

This smells exactly like a manly pirate on me. Initial notes of boozy rum and spices, then sweaty musky sea air, and fades into more of a post-beach skin scent.

Looking for a BPAL that Resembles a Favorite Perfume

I love Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon and Tokyo Milk Tainted Love. Looking for stuff that are similar! -
I get a very woodsy "dry" strawberry, and the wood note kind of reminds me of peanuts (???). No explicit rose note on me. It's an intriguing blend, definitely non-linear. I'm going to let it rest for a few days/weeks and come back to it.
