La Prostitution et la Folie Dominent le Monde
Moranna_Morgaine replied to Bassmastadroog's topic in Lupercalia
This scent is so gorgeously sweet and sensual! It went on with strong vanilla and Anise notes on my skin then mellowed to sugared jasmine candies. I loved this and hope to grab another bottle before it blips out! -
Got mine yesterday and love it! Wet: fruity wine notes w/a hint of cinnamon and clove. Dry down: Deliciously sweet mulled wine scent. I just love this

Ochre musk, oudh, coffee bean, cacao, and patchouli. Got mine last week and it smells like a poet's coffee house. It leaves the hair bouncy and shiny but the smell lasts forever. It resembles (wet) a hot cocoa coffee but once it has dried it really reminds me of a metaphysical coffee shop or something out of Hogsmeade in HP series.

I just got a bottle of this from the BPTP on Etsy and OMG I'm in love!!! It literally makes me fee like I've stumbled into Persephone's Garden in Hades. Love it!!!!

This reminds me (in bottle) of one of my favorite blueberry/Oolong tea and in my hair it has dried to just a lovely eucalyptus, blueberry comfort cloud. LOVE this!!!!

Hair Loosened and Soiled in Mid Orgies Hair Gloss
Moranna_Morgaine replied to tawaen's topic in Hair
This was my first HG and it has rapidly become a staple of my hair routine. I love honey and amber notes and this is just gorgeous! On days when humidity makes my hair scream I put a little on dry and it tames the frizzies. The scent is just pure amber/honey bliss -
Sekhmet has a really special place in my heart, so when I saw this I bought it immediately without really looking at the notes. When I put it on for the first time it reminded me immediately of a deep Spanish red wine with a hint of amber. As it dried it became a temple of amber and warm wine. I loved this massively.

I adored this, it's a little on the heavy side wet but in the dry-down it was just a lovely poison garden!

This really lives up to the Snake Oil of the 19th Century. I love the incense-like notes as well as the sweetness. It reeks (in a positive way) of innocence about to cross into experience through danger. This really made me even more excited for an upcoming masquerade ball the hubby and I are attending. It's like candy filled with absinthe or rummy cakes, anything that mixes innocence of sweet with the raw sensuality of deep spice and woodsy notes. LOVE it!

Mme. Moriarty, Misfortune Teller (2006)
Moranna_Morgaine replied to zillah37's topic in Carnaval Diabolique
This was my first Carnaval Diabolique, and I must say it did not disappoint. The smell reminded me of a metaphysical shop & Cafe near me that was a great place. It was warm and inviting with a deep undercurrent of mischief. I have a huge love for musks and sandalwood but the pomegranate undercurrent just brought it home for me in a really fun way. -
I loved this, it reminded me of an ocean breeze after dry down and tropical ocean on application. I often struggle with ocean scents being super synthetic and this triggers my asthma but Thalassa was perfect.

Priala, The Human Phoenix (2016)
Moranna_Morgaine replied to Little Bird's topic in Carnaval Diabolique
This scent was really amazing for me! My hubby and I love campfires and the remaining smoke scent that lingers after being around one, Priala captures that note really well. I have asthma so some scents with a "smoke" note make me sick and set off the coughing fits but this was just bonfire and cinnamon goodness. I will agree with Ink work that sensitive skin may be aggravated by the cinnamon but I mixed it with coconut oil to create a buffer and it worked okay.
