I also get almost all grass and no leaves, but that is fine with me, because I've been looking for a freshly mowed lawn scent for ages. It even has decent staying power, as I could get a whiff of cut grass from my wrists even at the end of the day in the office, without any reapplications. I'm so glad I bought a bottle of this.

In the bottle: This is a green scent, underscored by honey. On: Tea leaf, mint and honey. Dry down: almost musk-y honey, tea and a bit of sugar. I never really get much lemongrass or orange blossom from this, although I just started a second bottle (this has become my everyday scent and I'll be very sad to see it go!) and it is a bit sharper in the early stages on my skin, so that might very well be the lemongrass that didn't survive the 1+ year aging my older bottle had. I like Dorian too, but Gennivre works even better on my skin, and it is one of my favourite BPALs ever.

In the bottle: Cocoa and lavender, underscored by sage. The cocoa separates from the rest of the blend (rolling the bottle before applying seems like a good idea) On: At first it's dark chocolate with one heck of a lavender kick Dry down: The lavender cools down a little, and ever so slowly the vanilla starts to appear. I use this as my sleep scent, and there is usually a musky vanilla residue left when I wake up.

My company was merged with another company, and as always there is talk of "savings" (=letting people go), and since no one said anything about us not having to worry, and since I'm sick and tired of looking for new work (I just started this one), I decided to go for a ritual. I dressed a green candle with Gainful Employment, sent off a short prayer about not being laid off, and staying on in a position I like, and basically just fed all the tangled feelings and stress about the issue into the candle. The very next day it became clear they're actually looking to hire another person rather than getting rid of people.

In the bottle - sweet olive blossom On me - Very, very sweet, in fact it smells almost exactly like a scented eraser I had as a kid, which is quite nice in a nostalgic sort of way, but I don't know if I'd like to smell of it. I gather it's the olive blossom and champaca, although I can smell a bit of vanilla underneath it all. It's quite odd, because I normally amp honey, but I get no honey from this and the only trace of cinnamon is the slight burning sensation on my skin. After a while the vanilla gets a bit more prominent, but it's still got that floral sweetness to it. I think I might be swapping this one.

I've only tried out this once (I got my imp with a large order, and I have to sniff and test them all before trying them out all day ). In the bottle: Vanilla and cool minerals On me: High end vanilla ice cream. Cool and wet, but unmistakably vanilla. This'd be excellent for warmer weather. If the scent stays true all day I'm getting a bottle of this!
