I got my chaste moon today and for the occasion I washed off my Dragon's Bone and applied. I like it. creamy, soft, a little vanillary I wasn't sure about this at first even though March is my birthmonth. after the descriptions started rolling in though I had to procure a bottle! I'm glad I did, this will make a nice spring scent. a little unfortunately though, I'm getting into a little comfortable scent area with this, Snow White and Dorian, which are all a bit similar. and is it just me or are all the best scent discontinued or lunacies? eta: I did the nasty wearing Chaste Moon and it was so ironic I had to post it.

Wow, beth. This is Regan. This is not the Regan later in the play who is utterly and completely cruel, saying, "Go thrust him out at gates, and let him smell His way to Dover," to Gloucester who has just had his eyes gouged out by Cornwall. No, this is the Regan at the beginning of the play, where she sweetly plays up to her father in order to win his land. This is Regan when she is professing, " In my true heart I find she names my very deed of love; Only she comes too short." Regan appears to be a sweet loving daughter, but if you know King Lear in reality she is a vicious animal. That's why the underlying note just doesn't lay right, in my eyes. To me, it is the same powdery, disconcerting note that's in O. I don't think I'll be buying a bottle of this scent, but it captures Regan perfectly.

Wet: all rose. Not the regular kind of dusty grandma rose though, this reminds me of the fake rose perfume that used to come with toys when I was about 7. A little bubbly. Hyper-real, if you will. Dry: drat. This is still all rose. I hope the leather shows up… 30 minutes after application: scent is a lot lighter, and not changed much. 1 Hour later: same old, same old Is Rose an aphrodisiac? I think it might have … given me certain thoughts, but that alone won’t make me keep it. Probably off to swaps. Lovely rose scent, just not for me

Oh wow. This one is interesting. When it was first wet on my wrist it was very loud and fruity, a bit like Yerevan at first, except apricot not plum. Within seconds it calmed down, and was literally sucked right into my skin, nearly no drying time. I couldn’t smell it at all, but now, about 10 minutes after application I can smell spicy clove, and it smells very nice. It’s quite faint though, but that could be because I just got out of the shower, I have dry skin, and I didn’t have any lotion on my wrist. This seriously smells like nice spicy Christmas candles in an arts and crafts shop. The spicy smell of walking through the isles of fake flowers for arrangement. Interesting…

I fly internationally between Frankfurt Germany and London, and I carry them in my purse because I don't want them smashed. Recently, they checked my violin case (made me open it) and asked what the imps were, but a simple "perfume" went over fine. And those airports are notoriously safe. (You have to go through two total body searches prior to boarding.) They always search my purse because I always have something iffy in there, what set them off this time was my metal cello tuning fork.

I was going to wait to wear this another time before I reviewed it, but I couldn't resist because of leapylees review. I tried this the other night, and I too exclaimed, "I smell like a strawberry short cake doll!" Which is actually kind of cool, but not as sexy as I'd imagine chocolate, cherry and orange could smell. I'll have to try this again. Right before it turned into scented plastic, it smelled like pixie sticks, which was again, neat, but not sexy like I'd hoped.

I'm feeling pretty shy about writing my first real review but here goes: In the bottle and wet on my skin Tamora smells too "loudly" of only peach blossom, in a sharp sweet way. But once it's dry I can smell the vanilla, peachy golden goodness. Smells a bit like peach cobbler with sweet vanilla icecream melting over it at first, and then mellows so that it no longer evokes images of food but still smells sweet and light. I might have to get a 5ml, and my boyfriend thinks this is "the best one so far." All the others have been "really bad" or "ok" to him so that's a very good thing! Tamora is a beautiful oil that feels more everyday than some of my other ones that fit only certain occasions such as Perversion. overall:

I wanted to add this for anyone else who might be an international APO <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

the topic pretty much says it all. I'm thinking about ordering a bottle of Perversion, but not sure if 5ml or 10ml is better.

I also got this as a free one. While wet I could only smell coffee. Immediately after it dried it turned into a screaming headachy jasmine. Though it stopped giving me a headache, jasmine was nearly all I could smell out of this one, probably due to my skin chemistry. Not bad, but I won't buy a big bottle.

Lush to BPAL scent comparisons (BNever included too)
