AW man! This smells so good! It made my skin red though. Will retest and re-review soon.

Well this was unexpected! In a good way. This smells like a Middle Eastern shop. Like seriously reminds me of picking through all of the carpets and textiles and random wares in one of the many little shops I visited while deployed to Kuwait! Good memories! <3 :-) I can almost feel the sticky Kuwait City heat swirling around with this heady fragrance hanging in the air. Resin, roses, a bit dusty ... oh this is a bottle purchase for sure!

In the bottle: Sharp! Oh. I'm not sure about this one. Wet: That's better. Lots of soft, powdery rose. Not the super velvet rose from Rose Red or some of the other rose blends. This one is like big, soft spring roses. Then there is the resin. I can't pick out a particular note, but it's just the smell of a lovely used bookstore that has a whole section for new age wares. Something like that anyway. Dry: More of the same though the rose has settled out and blended into the resins to create more of that slightly exotic English market feel. That's what I'm picturing in my head at any rate. haha. Fresh bright roses and old books and incense and resins ... casting supplies and maybe even warm drink tucked away in a little corner booth. Ahhh ... 2011 version that I picked up along the way :-)

This one still makes me sad. I had such high hopes for it when I first purchased it (so long ago) but it just didn't inspire me fresh. I decided to hang onto it because the bottle was so lovely and, well, I hoped to eventually get what everyone else got from it. Alas ... In the Bottle: Oh! Bright citrus and spiciness *must be the gingergrass* But not orange juice citrus. This is a much bolder, jucier citrus. Wet: Citrus and ginger and a touch of thick vanilla and ... no ... no please ... go away neroli. Oh don't bring geranium. I hoped ... I thought there wouldn't be enough. *sigh* Dry: It's urinal cake. Fresh and very expensive and fancy urinal cake, but bathroom citrus nonetheless. Sad.
