dry, spicy amber, just as advertised. me and amber are likethis, so i love it. mmm.
-
straight up champagne, bubbly and refreshing. mmmmmm.
-
it smells like chocolate and sweet, sticky flowers. it's really smooth and sweet... i want to eat my hand.
-
buttery, sugary amber... this actually reminds me of jack (only not disgusting, haha). it's a very pretty, sweet scent. i'm saving it for fall.
-
i only ordered this because i had an obsession with the number 13. that said, i was pleasantly surprised. it's a really marvelous chocolate scent without being sweet or foody, thanks to the assortment of herbs. i can't pick out any real notes other than chocolate and some sort of bitter herbal scent, but it's really lovely.
-
at first it smells like a pina colada. then it smells like somebody drank too many pina coladas and became sick all over my arm.
-
it smells green and wet. i'm sorry i can't be more specific. it's not what i expected at all, but not too shabby! ADDED 10/27/08: yggdrasil is woodsy in a pale, light way, if that makes any sense. light woods and a dusting of herbs. there is something almost minty here, to my nose.
-
lots of rosewood and incense. it is very evocative... like a library in some stately manor. hence, i would like it more as a room scent than a personal perfume- it also makes my nose tickle a little.
-
it smells exactly like the description. the wine note, which my skin usually grabs and runs rampant with, is subdued by the leather and a hint of florals, and underneath it all it is incredibly sexual. i did not expect to love this so much!
-
when i first sniffed this i thought- wtf? was there a mixup? it didn't smell woody or floral- just pure mint gum. then i realized other reviewers had a similar reaction. it's just too damn minty. as it dries there is something deep and woody underneath, but i mostly smell pure wintergreen.
-
to me this is a perfect autumn scent- like the hesperides, without the apple. after a while it gets a little greener, more piney, but overall it is just soo nice.
-
i can't figure out what this smells like, but it reminds me strongly of another bpal. tintagel maybe? as usual my skin amps the wine like CRAZY. it is a little too masculine for me to want to wear it regularly. i think i might like it on a boy, though.

this smells like a pleasant, ladylike soap. the violet is a lot nicer than i expected. it is sweet and soapy... clean-smelling. i can't pull it off, but it's nice.

Campfires, bonfires, fireplaces, burning wood and leaves...

definitely definitely definitely try the hesperides... it is apple and woody goodness. it's very autumnal and outdoorsy, i think it'd be just what you're looking for. -
this was a frimp, as it would have to be, because i'd never voluntarily order anything that contained primarily sandalwood... especially when there's patchouli in it, too. ugh! i don't know what to say about this other than that after applying, i smelled like total b.o.

this smells like straight-up trix cereal! same sugary, fake fruit smell. yum!
-
i wish i had something more unique and informative to say, but this is just nothing but pure soap on me.
-
this is amazing. it smells like i'm sitting around a campfire in the woods, only it's better than camping because there are no bugs. i get that smoky, woody smell coupled with an earth, dark foresty kinda scent. i don't want to wear it but i want it as a room scent or possibly on a boy. *plots*

this is tart and fruity and buttery to me. when i put it on i get a kind of rich, juicy candied cherry scent i can almost taste and as it dries it stays fruity, creamy and delicious. it's not what i expected, but it's good. i think my boyfriend will love this as the highest compliment he can pay is, "that tastes/smells like cherry cough syrup." (it doesn't smell medicinal to me at all, though.)

in the imp, this is the warmest, most delicious, most glorious pumpkin scent ever. when i slather it on myself, the orangey citrus notes really come out on top of a base of rich pumpkin and amber. this is my perfect fall scent... where can i get a bottle?!

... This scent reflects the futurism, self-indulgence and excess of the Glitter 70's: champagne, hyacinth, tuberose, ylang ylang and flashing white musk with jonquil, tobacco flower, white sandalwood and a pale poppy. i tried this a couple times with the intent to review it but was never able to pin down what it smells like to me. in the bottle it's very very very overwhelmingly floral. when i first put it on i smell lots of tuberose. i'm terrible at distinguishing most flowery scents so as it dries, all i can say is it smells like flowers with pleasant musk. i don't think i'll wear this, but i'll probably keep it for my collection just because of the whole 70's thing...

bottle: fresh apple cider. wet: this is such a beautiful, juicy apple scent that it almost makes my mouth water. it's sweet and tangy and crisp and delicious. dry: the cinnamon and other assorted mulling spices really come out when it's dry and unfortunately it enters into yankee candle land at this stage. overall: i adore this in the bottle and when wet, but not when it dries. i will try it as a room scent and see how i like it.

it's like a manly cologne with saffron and rose. alas, not my style.

bottle: this is hardcore pumpkin. wet: still pure pumpkin. dry: pumpkin with a background of pleasant greenery. overall: yet another brilliant fall scent!
