This was another unexpected 'o how I love this' freebie from the lab. At first the citrus-ness is mosst prominent, but not in it's usual, biting sharp way. It's in fact a very gentle scent, which turns a bit powdery floral after e few hours, in a very, very good way.

On intitial application the flowers seem to turn sour, but after a while this becomes more powdery. It's hard to describe, but this is a soft, comforting smell to me.

The mint isn't very pronounced in this blend, it's more whispering in the background, but it has an ice cold feel to it. None of the notes in this blend really stand out, but they are in perfect balance. I can smell a note which reminds me of apple, but it isn't in the description. Overall Shattered has a frozen wind feel.

Wet this is the bitterest grapefruit peel you can imagine, which is a good thing, in my book. The tea comes out more later, making this scent bitter-fresh. In this phase, it is bitter, but it also has an odd softness to it. Of all the citrus/tea blends so far, this is my favourite.

Bubbly, fruity. There is a creamy scent to it when I first apply it. The fig seems to be the deeper and sweeter note, with the mandarin on top, making it fresh and slightly bitter at the edges.

The lab threw this in as a freebie, and I would never have picked this one myself, especially after trying Loviatar. Loviatar was a great concept captured in a bottle, but she was too much for me. This starts of berrilicious. Wine has a tendency to go berries on me, I guess. Not that there's anything wrong with that, i love it. When it dries, the leather becomes more prominent. On me, this stays a wine-leather smell as well, but that's good for me. Wanda is light enough for me, with interesting depth.

I don't know what pennyroyal smells like, but from Pain I can guess it's minty, but more in a dry, woodsy way. The lavender peeks out after about half an hour or so. In spite of its sharpness, this really is a lovely scent.

When this was wet, it smelled like something sour and/or pickled. Luckily, after a while the myrrh and something else comes out, making this into a beautiful sweet incense scent. For those of you who are familiar with it, the drydown reminds me a bit of Voodoo. It's not one for the summer, but I think I'll keep this for autumn.

Vetiver always walks a fine line on my skin: It can be gorgeous, or it can smell like sweat. Incantation goes through a short phase of Body odour, but it dries down to a dry, fresh masculine smell. Not too masculine that I can't get away with wearing it, by the way, but I will try to convince my boyfriend to give this a try.

When I first applied this, I could smell fruitiness... almost like apples. That must be the wine then. After a while it becomes a voluptuous incense scent, whith the wine occasionaly peeking out. After an hour:? Is there sandalwood in this? It's not in the description, but I can smell it. Must be wonky chemistry.

When I first applied this it smelled musky, icky, sticky rotten stuff. Dragon's blood + Ylang Ylang are not a good combo to my nose. Later on, the rose comes to the foreground, making this perfumy and sharp and, oddly enough, very similar to Wanton. Considering the first stage of the scent, I am glad the rose came out.

I bought this because I am a sucker for limited edition and especially colour associations. I have to be tied down with the next red moon update. But now, on to the Blue moon. If I would have to use words to describe it, the review would be like this: "Well, it smells fresh, but not really, I can smell a bit of fruitiness, but not fruity fruitiness, and I can smell the cucumber, but it's not really obvious, and I can smell soft and gentle florals, but they're reeeeaaaallly gentle as they're hard to find if you look for them, as the herbal note dominates, but it isn't a herbal scent really..." etc etc. I give up. It's beautiful. Get some at the next Blue Moon (2007 ).

I think I can slather on any scent containing tea and like it. It has that sharp, adstringent quality of green tea. There is a greennes as well, that makes it slightly bitter. Nice, sharp and fresh.

When first applied, I can smell cocoa and cherries. The cocoa fades quite quickly, and Kali becomes more of a fruity floral. To me, it smells like fig, even if that isn't in the description. When I smell it an hour later, I get a smokey tobacco smell, with a hint of floral. Overall, it's a light scent, something I wouldn't expect from the notes.

When I'm reading this reviews i really think this is a scent that is VERY much affected by body chemistry (unlike, say, bordello). For me, the fresh green tones dominate, and the violet takes a back seat. The fresh (presumably juniper-) scent gives the violet an ethereal feeling. Strange but beatiful.

This smells like fruity sweets, with a hint of cream. It doesn't develop a lot after applied, but in this case it's a good thing. I love smelling like sweeties.

Soapy and herby stands out first, but with a sweeter kick to it. On me, this turns out a bit like candy-ish soapy herbs. The smell slightly reminds me of Dragon's blood (the resin not the Voodoo blend), but I"m not sure if it's actually in there. Will comment on efectiveness later.

I was hoping for a beautiful amber-ish scent, which Aureus does turn into for three fleeting seconds... And then I smell that note. That note is, I think, patchouli and it reminds me of fungus and mildew on bread and I simply can't stand a scent that reminds me of it. Will try again, but haven't got high hopes.

At first, this is neroli-apple fruity with a dark background. after a while the rose kicks in, which usually means a sharp loud scent on my skin. I don't care for this stage at all, and I was almost ready to throw it on the swap pile. But... after an hour the deep, incensey smell, akin to the drydown of Vixen and Voodoo comes forward. In Desire the incens has a bit of a fruity note as well.

When first applied, I can smell green leaves and some fruitiness. It goes on very light and pleasant, but after about 15 minutes or so, it seems to me that a distinct body odour note is coming out. What the... it fades and turns back to the lovely green leafy scent, but I really hope my chemistry is just temporarily wonky.
-
At first it smells very woody, but the fresher note which reminds me of Juniper (which, I presume, is the cypress) comes out more and is dominant, which makes this a fresh wooden smell. Even later on, there is a sweet note peeking out a bit more, which I can't identify. Overall, a bit of a 'darker' fresh scent.

Some florals tend to turn sharp and loud on me, so i was a bit worried before I put this on... No need to be. The lily stays very true on my skin, the drop of honey is in the background, making this a bit sweeter. It's a very light gentle and sunny scent.

If anyone is famialiar with Buffy the Backside Slayer from Lush, this smells exactly like it during its wet phase, lemony but with a greasy feeling to it. I was almost ready to wash this off, but the lemon fades and the aquatic notes come through more, with the florals. I find she is sharper than Storm (the scent) is.

??? When the scent is wet, I can smell geranium pretty clearly. When it dries, it goes a bit soapy-lemony on me. It also has a bit of the sharpness florals tend to have on my skin, but not too much. No frankincense in sight on my skin.

Clean, fresh, salty, green... these are the things that come to mind when trying on Tears. These tears are a lot more serene and calm than mine usually are, and it makes for a very calming scent.
