Ah berries! Noooo, where'd my berries go? bring the berries back! The berries have been hijacked by the pine! The pine is slaughtering the berries and the flowers and taking over the land! Yes, it was a battle, the pine won, and thus it has left for a new home.

I also get mostly floral notes but I get coconut slightly and a bit of almond. It's very cold, very snowy, but what is the coconut doing? It warms it up, maybe a bit more than I'd like it to. it makes it too tropical for the snow. but overall the coconut fades and it is a serene blissful snowy day and I adore it.

This is the perfect wet rose in the bottle. Sadly, on my skin it turns into freshly dug dirt. No, seriously. How the rose went so dirty on me I have no idea! I've never had that reaction before with a rose scent. makes me very very very very sad! It smells so gorgeous before it hits my skin!

This has something in it that Nine Mysteries has. Is it chamomile? Anyway, it reminds me of a mintier version of Nine Mysteries. I completely adore it. Cold, chilling and comepletely snowy.

PLUMS! My god do I adore this scent! The floral notes stay in the background while the sweet. sweet. juicy plum scent wafts above. I am in complete and total lust!

This is an alcoholic fiesty on my skin! The cream lingers in the background while the sugary rum and brandy dance all night with the nutmeg! Dead on!

Spicy! Smells exactly like the ginger snaps I'm addicted to! Yum! Captures that slightly hot spiciness of ginger perfectly! I am so damn delicious when where this! "No one should be this delicious!"

The scent of baking sugar cookies! It smells more like cookie dough than an already baked cookie. not too sweet, just enough to get that sugar smell in there. I adore this!

I only tried my Sugar Skull once and promptly shipped it off to someone else that would love it, but I didn't have a problem getting it out of the reducer. Although I suggest wand caps for everything because it's simply easier and simpler.

Hear ye! Hear ye! Birthday threads now have their
silverangel replied to minilux's topic in Announcements
THANK YOU!!!! Personally, I don't tend to read the birthday stuff, not because I don't love anyone here (Those people have all extricated themselveS) but because I'm lazy. So YAY for being able to find non-birthday posts without scrolling down the entire page! -
I've never had a problem. When I went home in Sept. I just had them lined up in a ziploc baggie in my backpack. My shoes got more notice. (I had to be searched since I about a ticket the day before t fly on sept. 11.) No one questioned me. And that was out of Oakland and Bradley airports. And Bradley goes through more security than usual I find lately.

Musk musk musk! It's one of the few oils where I really like the musks. They're kind of woody though, with dragon's blood just peaking out from behind. Great for one of those days where you don't want to deal with anyone's BS. ETA: slightly wrong review
-
This is damn near all lilac on me! It's got some lily but lilac is way in the lead. I love lilac but I wish the dragon's blood would come out a bit more. It does emerge after drydown but not much before it. Ah, I love it anyway.
-
Dragon's Blood can get slightly powdery smelling on me, but not in a bad way. It just powders itself down, rather than turning into baby powder. It's slightly soapy smelling, or is that just because I've been using terri's soap lately? A bit floral with a soft pink note under it. How do you describe a single note? I don't know but it's lovely and every oil with dragon's blood in it has been a success for me.

Noir with blackberry. I've actually kept the reducer around for random sniffing while on my computer! It's dark, and elegant, powerful, it gives me confidence. It is definitely a "Queen" kind of scent. It's my second favorite oil right behind Noir...now if only I could find a favorite that wasn't an LE or discontinued.

Chaos Theory LXXXII I bought this from Mrs.Black a few weeks ago. Can I just say how in love I am?! This is like straight cherry on me. I adore cherry. I would love to have cherry's children! (odd image of cherry's with arms and legs running around.) This one has pretty good staying power too, lasts 4+ hours which for me is great! I have three hour classes and six hour work shifts so it works out for me pretty well. It's got a candy sweetness to it, too, a bit more sugary then straight cherry should be.

Similarities Between BPAL Scents - GC and general discussion
silverangel replied to Shollin's topic in Recommendations
Namaste didn't smell like lemon or citrus on me at ALL and lemon usually LOVES me! (I.e. June Gloom) It was pure myrrh smelling on me but that may just be my chemistry, try it out. -
I believe somwhere in this thread there is speak of wand caps that fit on the bpal bottles, but i may be remembering incorrectly.
-
Well, I don't know about apricot kernel oil. I have straight BPAL oils in 1/8 oz roller bottles and they all roll just fine. I would say it may be the roller ball itself unless the apricot oil is just really thick.
-
you don't NEED a carrier oil unless the scent is too strong for your tastes and you still like it but just want to bring it down a few notches. Roller bottles rock! I adore my 1/8 oz ones, but I also love my 1/8 oz wand cap bottles from sunburst. I've never used a carrier oil so I can't say for sure but I can't imagine WHY the roller wouldn't roll unless it's an uber thick oil but even then it'd had to be like lotion-thick.

I adore this blend. It helped me not put a girl through a wall when I REALLY wanted to. And it's got this great warm, cinnamony scent. It kind of makes me warm inside when I wear it. And it reminds me vaguely of cinnamon in hot apple cider. I need a big bottle of this!
-
Must say: I personally ADORE this scent! (YAY to hypothermya for donating a bottle of this stuff to me! must pass on my decanted imp now to share the joy.) It's like that fresh lemon laundry scent to me. It's clean and crisp and lemony without being so strong it smells like lemon cleaner. After a while some very soft very sweet very light floral notes creep in. I'm not sure what they are but the lemon is still the very dominant top note. I do completely love this scent!

WOW! Screamingly hot brown sugar, beth really didn't lie about this one. It's SO sugary sweet that my teeth practically ache just sniffing it. And it's really strong too, just a drop of this stuff wafts down three city blocks! Okay, not literally, but you get the point. I think this is just a WEE bit too sweet for me. I kind of knew it would be, but had to order it just in case, sadly, I was right. It's like sugar overload just on the scent...okay, someone give me something salty to eat to make up for it!

Sadly, Hunter Moon and I have had to part ways. I smelled like I had been walking through fires, literally. It was all bon fire and all smoke for about an hour! Which, wouldn't be too bad, except bon fire isn't really something I want to smell like a lot, even if I do like the smell other times (like when I'm actually at one). After an hour or so it calmed down to this nice slightly floral woodsy, slightly incensey slightly smokey smell. It was absolutely gorgeous! And an hour or two after that, POOF! it was gone! It makes me sad, because I did like it a lot more then Harvest Moon and even more than Blue Moon, but I just can't wait that hour for it to get to what I really love about it, so it had to get shipped off.
