this is the ultimate comfort scent. i just put on way too much by accident while getting ready for bed but it’s totally cool cause i’m about to be on cloud nine with this scent enveloping me. i’ll start by saying i agree with other reviews that this is indeed very powdery to my nose but in an amazing way. like an elevated powder. there’s an element of creamy/clean going through this that seems to stop the powdery aspects from becoming cloying. i think it’s the sandalwood. other than that very well blended. this is a great “your skin but better”, neutral type clean girl scent. delicate but beautiful, i agree with other reviews that the destroyer of men name is a good one! unexpected but yet somehow totally can see it imo. beautiful, again super soft and relaxing, the one downside is my skin drinks this up. i accidentally spilled a LOT on myself while testing and applied to both arms and legs and it was just a trace left about 1.5 hours later.

really beautiful and well blended. this goes on very green, but as it dries it takes on more depth and definitely a more musky quality. no notes really strike me as being recognizable on their own. just a smooth, slightly creamy, green muskiness. it seems to me that musk takes on a somewhat cleaner, almosy effervescent quality, possibly from the green notes (not in a soapy way). lower throw but a stunner ETA after trying this again, i would guess the greenish, almost bubbly note is possibly the oak!

concert is AMAZING, i regret not buying a back up bottle but i wasn’t sure how the rose would work. for me the rose is almost nonexistent, maybe just . this is all about the champaca. but it’s like, an amazing deep resinous champaca, definitely feels like it’s wrapped up in black velvet. i was sure that there may be some patchouli in here but idk, but something in there is giving the champaca an almost woody, chewy, oomph. it has great throw and laaaaasts for daaays on my clothes.

ok so in the bottle i actually am getting corn chips/cheesy nacho chips. something salty. this goes away once applied! it feels like the rosiness and fruits are trying to be the top notes but they’re being smothered by these beautiful resins so they only get to peek through. gorgeous fruit-floral musk. the musk isn’t too screechy or soapy on me which can sometimes happen with white musk

Copulating Couple Mimicking a Pose in a Shunga Book
DiZZysTARdust replied to Seajewel's topic in Lupercalia
absolutely gorgeous. in the bottle it smells very well blended, like a fruity/cucumber green tea. there is definitely still a cucumber-esque note when freshly applied. as this dries the cucumber and more watery aspects fade off, leaving a green scent that for me veers somewhat between the realms of incensey and clean. the patchouli doesn’t scream patchouli but drfinitely seems to be acting as an anchor for the other notes. the greener notes are adding a freshness without becoming too soapy or clean. like sitting amongst perfumed resins. good throw and medium wear length (2-3 hours) on me- 8 replies

in the bottle and freshly applied this a strong and well blended floral. i feel like rose was the strongest floral note initially for me, but not in an overly rosey way. it’s very fresh, agree with some other reviews that the florals together along with the salt gave this a very clean vibe. over an hour into the drydown the salt definitely lingers, the roses gradually transitioned to violets as the dominant note on me. it feels to me as if the lilac and lavender never truly made their presence known as distinguishable notes

def lavender heavy when wet. dries to a soft nondescript herbal-floral. the resins definitely seem to be present, giving the florals something to stick to and possibly keeping this blend from veering to far into soapy/medicial territory on me. i was nervous about the lime and cacao notes. on me they're not heavily present, but there is a sweetness that could be due to these notes. overall the vibe is a somewhat clean, sweet, green floral. super well blended. good throw on me but does fade somewhat after a few hours while remaining closer to the skin.

Worm Moon: Bourbon Vanilla and Teakwood
DiZZysTARdust replied to doomsday_disco's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
not what i was picturing! the teakwood definitely gives this blend a very aquatic/cologne vibe. as this dries the vanilla comes out more giving the teak a sweeter/dryer edge. really, really nice teakwood showcase. i agree with some other reviews that this is a great skin scent, esp for places where a more neutral scent is better.- 6 replies

Worm Moon: Chestnut and Rum
DiZZysTARdust replied to doomsday_disco's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
scary in the bottle, it smells like rubbing alcohol. the sharp smell dissipates after a few moments. as it dries the chestnut seems to be the main player for me. maybe it’s the rum but it’s not chestnuts in a nutty or gourmand way, but more like a smooth, golden chestnut liqueur. good throw and staying power on me- 1 reply

absolutely gorgeous blend, not much to add to previous reviews which are spot on about that. definitely super well blended for me. hard to say what exactly comes out the strongest, but i would say that some notes that tend to dominate and become “single note”-esque, which is the rose, terebinth, and honey in this blend, aren’t overly amping for me. in the bottle and freshly applied this is strong and sweet in an almost fruity way. without checking the notes first my initial impression was that there was berries in this. the fruitiness tones down almost immediately into the drydown but it stays very sweet throughout the drydown. stays well blended but becomes a touch more powdery/resinous as it dries. my overall impression of this are a bright pink-red, candy sweet, high femme scent. at three plus hours into the drydown the sweetness fades only SLIGHTLY, letting the tiniest hint of pine peek through without becoming a pine scent. i always hesitate with rose scents, i love rose but it can dominate for sure on me, but this is an amazingly beautiful scent. definitely 10/10

Smoked Caramel, Himalayan Cedar, and Patchouli
DiZZysTARdust replied to Silvertree's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
this is very caramel forward on me. while i don't seem to get patchouli or cedar as distinct notes, they are definitely making themselves known because this is a really unique non-gourmand caramel. it's delicious and more like a caramel musk than foodie-leaning. i can only guess this is the patchouli and cedar notes making themselves known but definitely not present for me as their usual selves. this is somewhat vaguely sweetish in the bottle and actually seems very similar to the in the bottle scent as it dries, with a pretty decent throw. i wondered if the patch/cedar would outlast the caramel but they never became more detectable. this lasted like 6+ hours on me, with the throw decreasing but still there up close.- 8 replies

definitely sweet florals on the forefront. i was worried about the lavender but this seems to be blending really really well with the lilac. neither floral dominates. there’s a very perfumey quality to this so the florals aren’t going soapy or grassy. after about 30 min of dry time this has totally morphed from perfumey flowers to sandalwood-frankincense wreathed in leaves. there’s hardly any lilac-lavender from the initial phase on my skin when i sniff the test patch, although i can still smell it on my shirt fabric around my neck area. both phases are equally stunning but definitely a morpher!

in the bottle this is kind of green, almost grassy, and freshly applied it’s very piney. this settles down into gorgeous frankincense flecked with green tones. this could be a top frankincense blend. medium throw.

omg i went back and forth over this but i am SO SO glad i scooped a bottle before yules came down. in the bottle this is like artificial cherry syrup. the cherry takes a step back when applied to become more of a supporting note. the teak is very recognizable as it’s a favorite note of mine but to me it doesn’t make the scent very woody or masculine. if anything i would say the sweetness of the cherry/syrup notes and the teak combine to make this pretty gender neutral (tho hard to say because a lot of stuff feels gender neutral on me). and the throw is AH-MAZING, i was sitting here after applying the test patch waiting for it to dry more and it just keeps wafting around me. i’m in a cloud of sweet teak deliciousness 🖤

i was interested in seeing how les passades differed from nyx night goddess. i could see this being the same amber, somewhat fizzy and glittery as other reviews described it. however that’s where the similarities end. the patchouli is present in the background adding a little more backbone to this scent than nyx has. but it’s not an in your face hippy patchouli. it blends really, really well with the amber. the vanilla and musk seem to be supporting components. i don’t get vanilla as a note on its own but i do almost get the vibe of ask the nearest hippie but less smoky and more silk and velvet.

love this. i have a lot of beeswax scents but this is definitely a the top of the list contender. the wax is there but blends so well with the blood/ash notes. the other notes give a smokey, almost incensey vibe while allowing the beeswax to shine through. super well blended, on me i’m not recognizing any other notes aside from the beeswax.

sinister, but subtle. i was able to acquire a bottle of this on the secondhand market. i’ve worn it a handful of times, but never reviewed, so when i picked it up during a random grab for today’s perfume i decided to do a test patch to review as well. in the bottle is a smooth, masculine cologney vibe, a bit dusty but no notes coming to the forefront. freshly applied is similar to the bottle scent but very close to the skin. i thought maybe my skin just immediately absorbed it but after a few minutes the scent becomes stronger. the golden amber seems to be the main player for me. the sandalwood and tobacco seem to be the strongest supporters, i say this only because they are more present in the throw as it becomes stronger, but they blend in very well with everything else. the tobacco is the non chewy kind for me. i thought i was getting a hint of patchouli due to a subtle, almost leathery aspect, but this didn’t linger so much into the drydown. not getting any of the citrusy notes either as such, although i agree with some other reviews that they could be helping to brighten this blend in some ways. the throw increases as this dries for me, adding a touch of spice as well. definitely on the dark and sexy side. maybe more masculine leaning for some but definitely would smell good on anyone

this is only 2 days rested so impressions may change. in the bottle this is all about the labdanum, the fizzy almost cola like kind. freshly applied the labdanum is still pretty present. as this dries the labdanum stays present, but it definitely isn’t so much dominating the other notes. it definitely seems to be taking a back seat supporting role as the other notes come out more. hard to describe exactly but like this: like the labdanum is still present, and it’s the only note i can fully recognize, but the others are also coming out more and transforming the labdanum to this sexy, slinky version of itself. it’s a polished, slightly green-red labdanum. not in an herbal way. no trace of vetiver yet which can definitely amp on me. after 30 minutes or so the labdanum fully melts into the other notes. a little fizzy/spicy from the labdanum still, but also very smooth and creamy from i’m guessing the black musk and ambrette. can’t distinguish much else note-wise but this is a well blended stunner. throw is on the lower side but still there. will update with wear length ETA: good wear length and throw seems to subtly increase in the drydown. after about 2 hours into the drydown this turns somewhat in the cologne direction, only slightly while still retaining the fizzy labdanum note.

in the bottle must be the hairspray, very sharp and screechy and intimidating. this bottle has been resting for several weeks because at first that ws all i could smell. on wet this is like a champaca scent on me, but a perfumed champaca if that makes sense. like i smell champaca but not in the usual headshop incense way. it's more dressed up. the clove blends really really well into the champaca so it's not really spiced but more like sharpened or brightened by it, along with the "hairspray". as this dries the hairspray aspect does fade and it's more about the champaca and clove. i think the plum must be in there as well adding a little sweetness, but not in a fruit forward type of way. it's an unexpectedly addictive combination. the clove definitely peeks out more in the drydown but definitely does not become a major player. it is definitely a very spiced and perfumey champaca. somewhat unique as far as champaca scents which on me can be very dominant in a blend. i really love champaca so this is fine for me, although the plum/clove/hairspray definitely compliments it and bring it to a new level. any scent with goth in the name i am automatically obligated to pick up, although as someone who is not a fan of soapy/bath product type smells i was definitely nervous about the "hairspray" note. however if you're like me don't fear that, this is an awesome addition to the goth collection

have to agree with other reviews that this is gorgeous and very "green" without the typical grassy/herbal lean that a green perfume can take. freshly applied this is very aquatic. on me when freshly applied it's almost all oakmoss. not unpleasant just very in your face oakmoss that leans aquatic/cologne/almost soapy. as this dries the oakmoss fades into the other notes and this becomes a beautiful light green blend. somewhat of a low throw. pretty well blended but the most noticeable notes for me are the faintest traces of cardamom and labdanum over the greener notes. for me they're not so much notes on their own but more like hints of them that may be keeping this blend from turning back to oakmossy grass.

oof, i can definitely smell what other reviews are mentioning in the bottle and have to agree that there must be something about the combo of indolic florals that makes this blend very body-odor-esque when in the bottle and freshly applied. i love magnolia and i love the morphers so i had to give this a shot. the aggressiveness does take a minute but after applying it settles down. a magnolia and muguet bouquet with hints of cedar. the mint, lemon blossom, and bergamot aren't main players on their own so much but do seem to be giving this blend some hints of airy freshness that keeps the white florals from becoming too cloying. absolute gorgeousness. good throw.

Really well blended. The nigh blooming florals are definitely the stars of the show, and they blend very well with the musks and benzoin. In the bottle and freshly applied the jasmine is the strongest for me, but not in a typical aggressive indolic jasmine way, more like the scent of jasmine just barely coming through over everything else. the musk and benzoin give them a very plush blanket wrap up in. as this dries the jasmine dials back even further. it doesn't completely disappear but does seem to settle down and blend more with the other notes. this blend does not stray too far into the floral territory, and is also warmer and less soapy than my typical experience with white/crystaline musk. it's actually pretty perfumey to my nose. good throw and long staying power. Not an exact dupe but the jasmine in this somewhat reminds me of At the Mid Hour of Night.

gorgeous scent. a lot going on note wise but on the skin it’s very well blended for me. i agree that the musk-amber are the most dominant, giving this almost a perfumey vibe. it’s like a perfumey fruity-floral. in the bottle is sweet fruit-floral with probably the peach coming out the strongest. i saw this only because it’s more of a round fruit than any sharpness from the citrus notes. i don’t get the florals as distinct notes but rather adding a sweet edge to the fruits. freshly applied and into the drydown it stays very true to the bottle scent. one of those scents where the throw is different from the on the skin, and i get more musks in the throw while closer to the skin is more sweet peach tinted amber. there’s a brief moment where the lilac tries to make itself know about an hour into the drydown but doesn’t quite become distinguishable as a lilac note. the resins aren’t screaming incense to me but seem to be adding to the musk/amber as a grounding element to the fruits and florals and keeping these notes from going into soap territory. the only downside to this scent is my skin eats it! after about two hours the throw drops off a lot. it was moderate throw at first but after about the 2 hour mark the throw faded, while the peachy amber aspect was still there when sniffing my skin directly. still a love!

i can’t believe no one has reviewed this yet! i am so, so glad to have found a bottle of this on the secondhand market. it’s so delicious, i’m ready to drink it out the bottle. in the bottle is very red berry forward, with some hints of vanilla-crust and probably some of the red musk pulling everything together. to me it smells very well blended. my aunt took a sniff from the bottle and said it reminded her of a red raspberry perfume oil from her teenage years. to my nose this could be due to everything blending together because although it is “fruity”, there is no specific berry taking the lead. freshly applied it’s all sweet red berries. again, no one berry is coming out strongest to me. i can definitely detect the red musk because it does start to take a slight turn in the direction of grape candy/wine, which i have experienced red musk do in the past. but not overwhelmingly, just a hint. the vanilla does take a back seat but seems to be there in the background keeping this from turning into a purely fruity red musk blend. overall this is super super well blended and really gorgeous. ETA in the dry down the grape is def more present.

i was a little nervous about this one. all of these notes are a definite win so it was definitely on my to snag list. in the bottle it's a little more muted than i expected. definitely very much all about the molasses. the cinnamon is not really there for me. as this dries it started to turn somewhat plasticky on me which can happen with some honey blends for me. however, as this dries further i definitely agree with the above review that it's beeswaxiness that takes some time but does settle into a beautiful molasses-beeswax. definitely not in a holiday candle type of way for those with reservations. this is only about a week out of the mailbox so i'll be leaving it to settle but looking forward to revisiting
