I had this imp a long time and never even sniffed it! since we hit 32 degree Celcius today I was going through my imps ( I cannot wear Envy all week right? ) And remembered reading some were that Kumiho smelled fresh and summery, so I tried it on today and it was great. I kept soo fresh all day and even the boy complimented me saying I smelled "clean" with is a big deal coming from him as he dislikes most BPAL. It smells like a Ice tea with lemon or one of those herbal drinks. it has lasting power, no throw. I will keep using it untill the imp is finished(and hopefully there comes an end to the hot weather before ) I don't see a 5ml as it's not my kind of scents but will hunt down another imp somewhere

Darkness without doubt, I even wrote it in a review a year ago. The name fits the scent so well!

As a big lavender fan myself it took me some time to find a lavendery lavender blend. I wasn't happy with the Lavender in the Somnium blends, they all turned sour somehow or the Jasmine came out to much. (yet, they are perfect to fall asleep to, but that's not the question here ) But recently something has changed Quietude is the perfect Lavender scent for me. It's a bit freshed up with some lime/lemony note. It's that Lavender which you pick a flower from while walking by and rubbing it between your fingers. Psyche is also a nice lavender blend but goes more like a man's cologne kind of Lavender. Well so far my personal opinion on lavender

Oh, ORANGE, CLOVE, SPICE!!! And they are screaming! What a great blend, wakes you up and kicks in the butt. Our local Spa/Sauna has a stream pool with exactly this scent, and always one of my fav's I am wearing Moxi today as we expect a very busy day at the office. It lasts and has a good throw like the "normal" BPAL perfume oils. The only site note is that my colleque asked if i had been cleaning the officespace...(well that's not a bad remark, considering it came from a man who has no sense of smell at all ETA: I still like the scent but somehow it had a bad influendce on my mood, it makes me sad...will wait to see it this keeps happening

There i go again....I keep recommanding Katherina It's soft happy sweet and fruity. March hare is a good one to but might go wrong on the clove...I have and love all the scent's you have mentioned so we might be scent-twins -
amber? are you...sure??? I smell my youth perfume 'le jardin d'amour"a floral. (and indeed a bit toothpast-like scent) light flowers, violets and spearmint that's all i get. I love this though! It smells juicy and I want to chew on it, candied violet petals. If this is what amber smells like, i sure love amber!! This will do very nice as a summer scent.

Reminds me of a sparkling peach "champagne" i use to drink instead of the real stuff when i was a student This brings so many happy memories of that time, the poor but happy sensation. The scent is soft and bright and happy, perfect for sitting in the garden on summerdays. a 5ml is required! edited on 15 July 2005 I suddenly remember what it reminds me of exept the above mentioned: It has similairities with Shattered, and a perfume by Dior which i forgot the name of...

Similarities Between BPAL Scents - GC and general discussion

Hemlock, Nocnitsa, Dublin and Leanan Sidhe slept in the same bed They are all very different but have a comparable herbal fresness to them. -
It becomes boring but again...A new LOVE Pine, foresty all what i like in the summer, Nocnitsa is also a very neutral scent. Not only gender neutral but it's wearable for all kind of occations. It is not overpowering, does not waft a whole lot, just enough. If you like Skadi and Dublin, you sure like this too! *now off to update my top10*

very calming and pure lavender, it resembles a bit to Psyche. A bit masculine too. So far i was not so keen on the lab's lavender blends, but this is the kind of lavender i love. Somnus works great at night and Quietude will keep me peaceful at daytime. Thanks Beth, I love it

If you hate roses....try this one!! This is so juicy, innocent, playfull. I want to drink this. Often roses tend to smell serious, adult(and some even old lady perfume like) Athough all Beths rose blends are awesome, so far i like 2,5,7 best! Whip is going to be kicked out of my top ten and in goes 2,5,7. The sort of scent you have to imagine is more the direction of Persephone than it is of Spellbound. This is not powdery at all. A 14 year old could wear it and get away with it. So glad I have a 5ml

Soil... but not clean potting soil, oh no! This IS Graveyard Dirt, completely with worms crawling around and decomposing below. Not a perfume to wear on a regular day. I love the concept and the amazing art how Beth managed to create this scent! I am stunned. This is an oil to use for Roleplaying games, if you want to be the living Death or wearing this on Halloween. Sadly we don't do Halloween in Holland, i would love to see the faces when they smell me:-)

Lush to BPAL scent comparisons (BNever included too)
quinkel replied to Vanilla's topic in Recommendations
Moxi=Red Rooster soap, orange peel and clove Also good with the Slammer/bfb shower gels Oh and I forgot but Dance of Death = Tramp, about 90% match -
I wanted to try this one because Sarada mentioned the magic word "Tramp" And how right she was!!! I got it in a swap and opened the bottle even before I entered the house, and yes, it was like opening a bottle of Tramp It smell fresh and darkgreen like Tramp. It is a bit drier, perhaps some cedar tend to go dry on my skin. I love this and will stockpile some bottles of Tramp and I will have a happy summer! (BTW, I realise peeps who never heard of Tramp will not have much use in my review

one could never go wrong with Snake Oil i guess... man, woman, even cats and rabbits are attracted to it
-
The notes I can identify on my skin are Rose, cedar and lemongrass. Luckely no jasmine at all. To me this is a fresh summerday blend. No 5 ml order but I will use the imp till the last drop

Are you in a certain "time of month" Hormones can cause your nose go weird.. does it happen all the time or did you touch you nose with the imp and therfor smelling only the same oil all the time.(happens to me a lot when i am trembeling on a caffeine kick Kind of frustrating to smell an oil you don't want)
-
Unfortunately Lightning is THE example of all the notes I don't like in one blend... Also, It dissapears in about 1 minute from my skin. It's rare to find a BPAL i really don't like but I suppose lightning is the one

Lampades, Blood Rose, whip(smells like those late summer roses to me)
-
Lampades lay almost a year in the back of my imp box because i alway thought it was one of those strong jasmine scents... How wrong i was!! I stumbled upon these reviews the other day and it made me dig up the imp. Oh boy sooo good! Indeed it reminds me of Bordello. The imp is in my purse now and will be enjoyed these weeks. It's a late springtime scent, fresh, great to wear to work. I can smell the cranberries(I love Cranberrie juice as a drink) but the other notes are too well blended to detect. Oh and it ages good it seems considering the imp being more than one year old...

Got 2,5 ml from the lovely Surreal in a swap What I can smell mostly is clove, and i love clove There are more spices involved and pepper is also there it seems. It smells like yule, but i think i will wear it in summer as well. There are similairities(sp?) with Skadi, but Yuletide is more warm and spicy. At the moment I layered it with Hunger, Spicy oranges

If i was going to marry (again ) sure i would wear one of Beth's rose blends, Probably Whip, Rose red or, if my expectations are right about it, Two, five and seven. Rose is for me the flower that is symbol for love and marriage
-
The voodoo blend High John the Conquoror is said to smell like grapes. (I personally cannot judge it, I love the scent but have no idea how grapes smell)

June Gloom... a LE... maybe if it comes back?

Here goes a new top 10 member! To me this is all tearose, It reminds me a bit of (old) London but with a kick. The leather is not prominent on my skin but it is there to give the scent power. It smells very expensive somehow. I can see myself wearing this a lot. ETA: after 6 hours when the scent has almost faded, on my skin there is vanilla! Soft, nice vanilla!
