Wet: Holy ginger! The orange blossom is in there, and the patchouli is peeking out from the bottom. Dry: Wow. This is REALLY gorgeous. Really. It reminds me (again), a bit of Snake Oil. I'm guessing I'm always going to associate patchouli with Snake Oil. It also reminds me a bit of Ravenous. I have them both on opposite wrists now. Ravenous is darker, woodier. Vixen is lighter, bouncy almost. I'm getting a vague association with bathroom cleaner in Vixen. It's a little powdery again, but not "ick, get it off!" powdery. My nose kind of gets a floral scent, but I'm sure that's a different phase of the ginger. Overall: I think I like this a little better than Ravenous. Totally a powerful women scent, but in a more subtle way. Maybe big bottle?

Wet: Wow! Really orange and patchouli. Obviously. It's very sleek, and seductive. Dry: The patchouli is taking the lead, but the orangey-ness is still lurking underneath. Patchouli tends to go rather baby powder on me, but this isn't bad. The orange now isn't the juicy fruit part, but rather the slightly bitter zest of an orange. This reminds me a tad of Snake Oil, with a slight orange twist. There's also a darker, woodier scent coming to play. Almost like Mandrake, but not quite as sharp. That wood scent is taking away some from the orange scent. Overall: Very pretty. Not something I'd normally gravitate to, but I think I'd wear it again, especially if I wanted to feel very sexy and powerful. Big bottle, maybe?

Wow. This is overwhelmingly cedar on me, and it stays much that way through drydown. I do get a slight twitter of drying flowers in there as well. I really don't like the punch the cedar packs, so this one is off to swaps. BUT, Beth's concept is not lost on me. When I put this on and thought of the name, I immediately went back to the place where my great grandparents were burried. It's a large cemetary, out in the middle of nowhere. Peaceful, not hurried, or necessarily sad. The air is fresh, and the trees established. I thought of the huge cedar trees, freshly pruned. A spicy, dirt scent- the ground being newly dug up. The earthy smell of the tree roots that were disturbed in the process. I'm remembering the large sprays of flowers, their smell drifting past my nose on the slight breeze. Even the flowers carved into the casket. Hadn't thought about all that in awhile. This scent made me feel right there, all over again.

Wet, this was VERY Snake Oil on me. After some time, the honey came out. It's a delicious honey vanilla mix. My skin ate it up, so I either need to slather or re-apply. Very nice, not too sweet or girly. Kind of a sexy, "wanna bite" type of smell. Lovely!

First applied, I get coconut with something darker underneath. Chilli pepper, maybe. As it dries I get a pineapple pomegranite blend, with coconut dancing in and out. The banana is not easy to pick out, but it's in there. It's such a wonderfully blended mix, nothing overshadows another note. There's even something a little green in there- like splitting the peel of a banana while it's still green. I don't get an impression of tanning oil at all. But there is a certain sexiness to it, and I love it. It's sweet, yes, but not cloying. Just lovely, tropical fruity goodness. The throw seems to be pretty good. All in all, I love this. It reminds me of the beach, summertime, and a tropical drink. This will be a 5 ml, for certain! Bravo, Beth!

I also was hesitant to try this. I'm more of a green note kinda gal, but this really is lovely. At first it's very amber and inscensy, but the vanilla comes out as it dries, and it's absolutely gorgeous. I love the little undertone of patchouli too. It's really the perfect spicy vanilla.

We just set our wedding date-- 7/7/07! I'm way excited! We're getting married on the beach in a park we used to go to all the time while we were dating. So my next important decision, of course, is what BPAL blend to wear! I'm not into roses much either. I love citrus blends, carnation, cucumber, and grass/green scents. I've got a bunch 'o' imps (like, 18!!) coming, and Succubus is among them. But if I love Blue Moon like I think I will, that would be a possibility too... Or Pink Moon, or.... I seriously think this is going to be a really hard decision, since scents evoke such powerful memories, and BPAL has so many gorgeous blends. Arg! How am I ever going to choose?! Congrats to all those with upcoming weddings!!

I wasn't around for Bruja (or Blue Lilac SN, sadly!), but I'd love to see something heavy on lilac. So I'll join in on the "Bring Back Bruja" chant! Dragon's Eye is the only lilac blend I've tried, and it does smell much like lilac. My lilac bushes are blooming right now, and I'm obsessed!

I actually really like this, and I don't like florals! On me, this smells pure tuberose. I know there are other florals in it (jasmine?) I just can't put my finger on exactly what. Very pretty and feminine. Floral, but not cloying. I like it very much!

Sorry everyone, I'm still new to this whole Paypal ordering thing as well. If I use CCNow (grrr...) I get charged sales tax. **When doing a Paypal order, how the heck do I calculate tax? And is is California sales tax or the sales tax of the state I live in?** I appoligize if I'm being totally stupid, or just couldn't find the answer somewhere else! TIA!!

Don't have a suggestion, as I'm wating for my first impies to arrive yet... but I did want to add that Satsuma is one of my all-time favorite scents. I'm hoping I can find a BPAL scent that smells like it, or hey, even bettah!
